To be fair, at the moment it's easier for most of us to see the product Omar is putting out than what the Dolphins are. On that note, I wish they had live camera feeds (tied to the website) for the portions of practice that are open to the public.
Would you mind, after you get those cut ups for Omar, posting them on the boards for us to view as well??? Maybe some here would find it a valuable study
Mom, can I ride my bike on the highway? But that national media is doing it..... Seriously, no need to be douchey, that wasn't an excuse. It was to point out that obviously there's something to what we are saying and the fact that its so bad the national media is catching up is telling. Its also getting irritating that people are starting to ***** about *****ing.
For the love of all that is good and holy on this Earth, STOP talking about Omar Kelly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not suggesting there's no merit. I'm suggesting that we stop because it's getting old and turning into a circlejerk more than anything.
you guys care more about Omar Kelly than the actual media does. he is considered a joke in many circles.
The complaining about our criticism of the media is worse than the criticism itself.... Your not helping your cause at all. Just feeding the fire, and venturing further off topic. Mandomar Omarndo is clearly not doing their job to the best of their ability, it's an injustice to the readers, and needs to be addressed. Relax. We know theyre jokes.... The problem is the Herald/sentinal don't give a damn.
Was Grimes the only corner that has covered Mike Wallace so far thru four days of camp? Can someone, anyone, compare Wallace's ability to get open vs Grimes against all the other corners/safeties that have covered him? From my standpoint, if Grimes is really shutting Wallace down, that's fantastic! Because I'm not as worried about our receivers as I am about our corners. And if Grimes is back to Pro Bowl level, that's one less thing to worry about. #callmehomer
When the likes of PFT is printing that the Sun-Sentinel is not trustworthy, Sun-Sentinel in this case being a euphemism, it's pretty obvious where Omar ranks.
Speaking of jokes.......Did you guys check out Brent Grimes birthday (30) cake? It is a NSFW image, so I won't post it, but deadspin has a copy of it. That's a helluva cake. Again...its not....safe....for.....work.....but really a helluva cake. Probably be better as a bachelor party cake.
I think that would be great. I can recall, after Jimmy Johnson left, the website broadcast the first scrimmage that year via stream. That was IIRC 2000 or 2001? The quality was crap. . But now? Most users wouldn't have a problem getting a good signal with their highly superior internet speeds. And the view doesn't have to be what the coaches see on their daily review of pracitce, it can be just one angle. But something!! I'm going to forward this idea to Jesse Agler.
They almost always end up here as well, one way or another. He usually posts a link to the video on his blog space and then I'll post it here too or someone else will. I'm not under some agreement to provide video exclusively for Omar. And I've refused plenty of times in the past when I just didn't view what he was asking for to be an informative venture.
You will notice a common denominator from probably 95% of all media-on-media criticism you hear publicly about Omar. The common denominator is Rotoworld. He did something to piss them off (I honestly don't know what, aside from just being himself which many would argue is bad enough lol) and they haven't let it go. Rotoworld's writers are on Pro Football Talk and NFL.com through NBC Sports. The remaining 5% incidentally are FinsNation affiliated...Miami New Times, Broward-Palm Beach.
Jesse said "working on mayyyybe doing it on a special day, but don't want other teams watching practice online"
You know, I've always thought the complete opposite and then I read your post, and it has won me over and completely changed the way I think.Thank you, Aquafin, thank you.
Why did that surprise you? He's been pretty much average every year but one. One has to look at when he makes or misses a kick too. He doesn't really seem to have ice water in his veins in the clutch, such as a guy like Adam Vinatieri. Carp is less than 1% behind Adam on career FG pct, but there isn't much doubt in my mind who you'd want trying a 49 yd FG with 3 seconds left and down by 2.
Anyone else find it kinda strange that the team opens up training camp and the owner is nowhere to be found? Ross has attended every opening training camp practice except for this year.
Hard to make that happen when we seem to be working on Red zone plays today. Tweets that were posted seemed to indicate Wallace was making catches today so I'm fine with what has taken place so far. ^ This...2010 being the only exception no? If Carp retains his job hopefully we will not have to rely on his "clutch kicks" so much near the end of games and Ryan and company get the job done on their own. Weatherford hunting...
Keller and Sims will be great outlets and weapons for Tannehill. I mean..how many does he need?!? Last seasons training camp for Tannehill to this yrs crop of receiving weapons is like Batman Returns to The Dark Knight.
Most here would say Egnew represents the horrid Batman and Robin movie...Costumes with nipples....ugh. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LKNp0nUyoms/UACC_HmI9mI/AAAAAAAAAc4/2-a0SJFmeQk/s320/bat_nipples.jpg
Only problem with that is that it's against league rules for scouts from other teams to attend a practice if it is free to enter. If the Fins charged to attend practice for instance, scouts from the other 31 teams could be present and scouting our team. If it was posted online, it would be impossible to prevent opposing teams from scouting your practice.
He got a lot praise last pre-season, and was the back-up to Pouncey after all, so it's good to see that he's still generating good reviews this pre-season. Another quality C/G is more than welcome.
