This guy cannot be serious. I wonder what it is that makes him hate us so much, but seriously. Maybe it's because we cut him less than half way through the season in 2005 during his sorry *** career. There has not been one other NFL analyst that has agreed with him in anything he has ever said about us, he just keeps losing credibility http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000216199/article/afc-east-four-big-questions
Why do people get mad at these analysts? He gets paid to have a strong opinion , not necessarily the correct one.
so he talks about inconsistency at our WR position and names the jets as a threat to the pats...lol ?
So, he answers a question about who the challenger to the Pats will be with an immediate "it's not the Dolphins", followed by an increasingly loud rant about how Wallace and Jordan are just not good...then he finally answers the question with "the Jets". Obsessed much Heath?
Two guys I could care less about their opinions, Heath Evans and Teddy "Patriot Way" Bruschi. 2 Homers who just can't move on.
The Dolphins need veteran help at CB? Like Grimes, Marshall, Patterson and Carroll you mean? What's next, the Dolphins need to bolster the D Line, add a pass rusher and some speed at WR?
I'm not going to underrate the Jests, even though I think we're better. However, this has officially become ThePhins.com versus Evans' Patriots and Jets picks. Should be fun to watch play out.
maybe upgrade the team with more youth ? and he likes the jets because of their physical play on defense ? lol
Furthermore it's evident he has some issues with Miami, calling Ellerbe a downgrade to Dansby is comical. It took ole Karlos months to find a team to even sign him. This isn't 2008. People can be skeptical of Wallace and his all around ability that atleast may be fair, but then he spews out the cliche of "That's why the Steelers let him go" and once again looks like an asshat. Most of us are very aware of the huge extension offered to Wallace before last year. And not one of the three "experts" mentioned Brent Grimes, obviously he is just some run of the mill NFL player. Then the reasoning behind Heath's Jets prediction was an all time great one.....he named Chris Ivory and Marty Mornhinweg as reasons NY will be good. Wow. What has THAT guy done in this league besides grip the coat tails of offensive GENUIS Andy Reid?? Heath? Your flat out a jackass, but congrats on the "natural" weight loss.
I don't buy into the belief that the Jets are a 4-12 team like I have seen put forth in the media. I think their defense alone could win that many games. I don't see them being better than The Phins and certainly not good enough to challenge the Pats. Evans is smoking some good stuff.
Thats the 1st thing I thought of. If Dansby was still so good, why didn't some other team snap him up as soon as he was released.
LOL the Jets are a friggin mess. I dunno what their overall record will be but mark it down right now, 0-2 vs the Dolphins.
They gave up nearly 24ppg?? They lost the best CB in football?? To me it will take an RG3/Wilson type rookie year from Geno for NY to sniff .500
Oh yeah, they're a Hot Mess. The offense is going to be pathetic, I just think that their D with Rex coaching them is going to be a pretty good unit. And yep, the Dolphins are going to spank them both times we play them.
Pump the brakes guys, I never said they would have a winning record. I just think they will be better than 4-12.
Agreed. I think they are starring another 6-10 year in the face. Geno would have to be a heck of alot better than I think he is for the Jets to finish better than that.
While Teddy is a bona fide homer, as well he probably should be (afterall, Chris Berman made a living off of being a Jills homer), but at least his evaluations of players are usually sound. Yeah, he gets old with the "BB" way and such, but he usually makes sense of his evaluations of most other teams... Heath Evans....another story.... He usually accents the negatives of any team (other than the pasties or saints) that he talks about. So it stands to reason that he'd accent our negatives. But he certainly goes over the edge in dissing anything the Fins do, have done or ever will do. He definitely holds a grudge from being cut by us... I caught his broadcast on tv yesterday and was thinking the same thing...all three of the other commentators all thought the Fins had done and would do some good this year...not Heathy....his analysis of the jests was comical, at best...
It's really hard to understand anything Heath Evans ever says, what with Robert Kraft's ***** in his mouth.
This is the second time now that Evans has used Jordan's height and weight as the sole reason he won't be successful. New flash for Evans, Jason Taylor was 6'-6", 240 lbs and last I checked he had a pretty good career.
heath Evans looks like the traffic cop that gives tickets for anything regardless of circumstances or violation...and refers to every non-cop as "citizen". Its like you could sneeze and he would put one hand out and the other on his Tazer and say, "Citizen, I'm going to need to calm down and adjust your tone."
Heath keeps writing Dion Jordan off because in his eyes Brady is invincible when it comes to edge pressure and that Ellerbe is a downgrade from Dansby. Solomon Wilcots made him look foolish by reminding the idiot that the Fins have Solai and Starks who are pretty damn good a collapsing the pocket and that we WILL bring our newer faster LBs up the middle in the gaps. Shot down the square headed morons points on both accounts.
The problem is that at the end of the season when it's clear he was wrong about everything nobody will call him out. He'll be able to just go on as if he never said anything stupid.
