Aren't you doing the exact thing with us, that you are complaining about that we are doing with Heath Evans?
Nothing on Fox News makes me laugh and I would not waste even 5 seconds listening to anything that sorry excuse of a station has to say.
I'm not upset at your opinion, I'm just laughing at you all for complaining about someone's opinion. I don't agree with Heath Evans, but I'm not crying about it. When he's talking, same with Sapp, I just turn the station and I don't let it bother me.
Clearly, you're crying about us crying about Evans because we won't change the channel but you aren't ignoring the thread.
You guys sound like Jets fan, Fin D, you must be fireman Ed and Fin-O, you must be the guy who sits on his shoulders.
Just because someone is expressing their opinion on the things Evans says, does not mean they are crying. If you don't like people speaking negatively about Evans, then perhaps you should skip the thread.
The funny thing is if Evans would've said something good about the Dolphins, these idiots on here would be happy. Your missing my point.
Heath Evans spoke at my church few years ago, two things were strongly evident and eminently more important than his Christianity: 1. He has not nor ever will he forgive the Dolphins for cutting him, and 2. He's all about Heath Evans and how important he is, how much smarter he is than anyone else on the planet and 3. How the ONLY way to have a winning football franchise is "the Patriot way". I expect nothing but sour grapes from him any time it comes to discussing Miami Dolphins, which he avoids like the plague unless it's to diss us. Jerk has no business being paid for opinions as bad as his are, and biased.
Evans has every right to say Miami over paid for Wallace, Miami over spent in free agency, Miami is not as good as they are on paper. That's fine, Miami has to prove him wrong. That's one thing, to say that this Miami team is in worse shape then last years team, that's basically what he is saying if he dosnt think Miami will improve on 7-9, and that the Jets, out of every team in the east, the same jets who have Mark Sanchez, the Sanchise as their starting QB, the same guy responsible for the buttfumble and is the biggest joke in the league, and voted worst qb in the league, that guy, is the jets starting qb, and the jets with no Talent on offense, is going to give the pats a run for their money, that's when I say come on man! Atleast say the Bills of you're not going to pick Miami. Don't be stupid. If Mike Wallace went to Minnesota, we would be hearing about how Miami missed out on free agency. Yeah right now the East is the pats to lose, but Miami has the best shot taking them out then any team in the east. My Jet fan brother even thinks so and he hates Miami. It's the JETS! They are Americana team to make fun of! 31 different group of fans always get to say, we'll Atleast we are not the jets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Amen. Also, sorry to hear about your brother jt. Hope we find a cure for that soon. Sent from my phone using Fapatalk 2
I hope not! I love the rivalry and see him hulk out when the jets lose, and no I'm not talking about The Hulk, when we were younger he used to pull the Hulk Hogan and rip his shirt. He once put my phins hat under a mattress because he was pissed Miami was winning, end of the game, jets one and he gives it back to me saying he was sorry but he was mad. I thought he got better as we got older but in college we were watching the MNF epic game with the orange jerseys and the nice ginn td. Anyway at the end of the game he took the garbage pale with the pizza box full of left over crust and parmesan cheese and red pepper, and chucked it across the room! I enjoy those moments of his when the jets lose! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ya see, that's what I'm trying to say about Evans...He's not supposed to give us his 'opinion'. He's supposed to give us his 'football analysis' of the team. Personally, I don't care about his opinion, I know it's going to be biased away from anything Fins.. What I expect and what he's getting paid to do is to give us his football analysis of the MD. He obviously can't separate the two, unlike many of his peers on both NFLN and ESPN... If I want opinion, I can get plenty of opinions here and on other forums, that's not what I expect from Evans. So when he's on, I exercise my rights and flip the station, turn it off or FF if it's recorded... Look...don't get me wrong on the fact that there certainly are questions about what the Fins have done. It's all on paper at this point. We are only better on paper. On the field, we don't know yet. There are questions....Can Wallace shed the 'one trick pony' stigma? Is he going to be worth the money we paid for him? Is Tanny going to take that next step that he must take for this team to be successful? Is Martin the answer at LT since Long has departed? Is Miller able to get the yards that Bush supplied? Are Grimes, Keller, Jordan, Taylor and a few others going to shake the injury bug that's hit them prior to now? Is Jordan, our #1 pick, going to really have an impact this year? All good questions that are beginning to be answered. So far, and as has been reported by several media types as well as some of our own here: Tanny arguably looks better and more in command of the offense and in command as a leader. Jordan is back on the field and jury is still out, but he's got the attitude to make a difference. The jury is still out on Martin as there has been limited full blown practicing and that's the only way you can get the feel for OL and DL. Grimes looks to be healthy and is tearing things up in camp. Keller looks to be a shoulder for Tanny to lean on so far. Miller looks like he can make a difference. Taylor is still riding the bike in practices. The thing is, there are questions of EVERY NFL team at this point. Sure the names are different and the questions vary some but until we start playing PS and season games, can we get anything answered? Heck, if you want questions: Can BB and Brady overcome the losses that team has suffered. They haven't replaced Hernandez although on paper, Ballard could be that guy. Is Gronk going to be ready for the start of the season? Who are their WRs going to be? Can Amendola actually replace Welker? Can they clarify the issues in their secondary? Jests: Ryan is fighting for his job. Can Butt-fumble actually develop this year (something they've looked to see happen for 5 yrs). Can Geno Smith be the answer for them ?? Who is going to be their WRs other than Holmes? Does Winslow have anything left in the tank at TE? Who is their OL, Mangold, Ferguson and who? Milliner is likely to be pretty good, but Revis good (since Ryan's D is predicated on the CBs being left on their own)? Can they generate any kind of pass rush? Jills: New coach, new QB (likely)? They have some pretty good skilled players aside from QB, but can they make the change from Gailey to Marronne and can they reach a settlement with Byrd soon enough... Too much criticism from Evans and too little intelligence, forethought and impartiality from him.
Evans is paid to make statements which create discussion and keep the talk about the network he works for. Based on all the comments regarding his negative view of the Dolphins, I would conclude that he is doing an excellent job of keeping the discussion about him and not the Dolphins. I am sure his network is quite happy to see that he is a topic of conversation on this forum as well as other forums. Even negative comments regarding an analyst is better than no comments at all in the television world. As far as Dion Jordan is concerned. I think 4-6 sacks is probably a more realistic expectation for him during his rookie season. Anything over ten sacks should earn him NFL defensive rookie of the year IMO.
If Jordan does get double digit sacks and wins DROY, Evans will still be dissing him. That is not objective analysis. He is supposed to be an authority and like Larry said, give an unbiased report on every team he talks about. Helen Keller could listen to him and tell he has definite bias against the Dolphins. It has reached that level of absurdity.
Nah, he was cut mid-season 2005 and then 4 yrs later (after stints with NE and the Saints) his season/career was ended on an injury against...you guessed it...Us... Those are his beefs with Miami...
I really could care less what Evans says regarding the Dolphins. While you and I may not consider his analysis objective. He obviously does and his network certainly isn't saying anything to him in regards to his comments about the Dolphins. It is up to the Dolphin players to prove him wrong and they can do that by finishing the season with at least nine wins. Anything less than nine wins and Evans will be proven to be correct in his analysis of this team and its players.
This has nothing to do with the dolphins, this about getting frustrated with a person who gets paid money to be objective and obviously isn't, so it's two fold, his obvious bias, which in this case, its so extreme he should be suspended in that business, and the networks stupidity to let him continue.
Its fairly obvious to everyone including his peers that he has an agenda .The best way to overcome his prejudice is to prove him wrong. When that happens he will have to eat crow and he will have to justify his attitude to his superiors . Its my guess he will not be in the broadcasting business very long.Controversial reporting only goes so far before it becomes biased reporting.
I don't think its his job to give objective analysis. If it was, he'd have been fired long before now. He's there to be the Skip Bayless of the NFL Network.
Different kind of douche, this guy is worse though Fin, I mean him covering the pats was so freakin pathetically *** kissing it was embarrassing..can't put the blame all on him, he has superiors that are allowing him to be the homer guy...
