no thanks, too many concussions. I think we have visions of him playing well, especially against us.

I've heard all the talk about him being one decent hit from being brain scrambled for life. How do any of us really know that? Has anyone here seen his medical records, brain scans, etc? The Dolphins seem pretty cautious on medical issues. Whichever way they go on Robinson, I'll trust they have more info with which to make the decision than any of us do.

Who was it who was telling me he was way better than Brian Hartline a couple seasons back?

I truly see no reason to freak out about the WR's right now, while I was very excited about Binns I think McNutt will be just fine and Matthews will probably be ready before the opener anyways. I'd rather them focus their time on evaluating Tyms, Bumphis, Collins, Stafford etc

Well, my legit reason for not signing would be giving the younger guys like McNutt or Fuller a real shot at playing, we rarely do let the youngsters see the field.

I really like Fuller, think he'd be worth giving a real shot as if you hit on him you will have the "next" not the "formerly good"

The players we have competing to make the team at WR are good enough. Yes we lost Binns but rewind 12mths and see where we were. I want to see these young guns like McNutt and Fuller get their chance. We are in a better place than where we were last yr.

And tbh, would prefer Brandon Lloyd, think he can do as many things w/o the health risks

Not sure who it was, but in all fairness he was better than Hartline a couple seasons back.

I don't believe it was me, but statistically speaking, after the 2011 season, he certainly was better.

But then Hartline gets Tannehill. And Robinson goes from Romo to Gabbert/Henne. Definitely not saying I'd want Robinson starting over Hartline at the moment though. :wink2:

Yea am I missing something? Did his concussions last year wipe out the 11 TDs he had in 2011? 2 years ago he was clearly a better receiver than Hartline. Hartline isn't even a top 40 receiver in the league now after getting all the opportunities and targets that come along with being the #1 receiver on a team, 2 years ago he probably wasn't even top 75.

It really doesn't seem like just last year he got the new contract with Jacksonville, 5 years, 32.5mill... feels like two years.

no, his concussions didn't wipe out his 11 TDs from 2011, his crappy new QB and going from the #4 receiver on the team (Dallas, includes Witten) to the #1/#2 WR in JAX. granted, Robinson would be the #4 receiver in Miami also, but very leery of the multiple concussions. I don't want to be left with yet another void for this roster spot. but, like MrC said, if the training staff has no fear, then I'd be okay with it.

I'm guessing the two teams he visited but didn't sign with probably had their medical people review where he was at. It says somethng that two teams didn't sign with a guy with a concussion history after they got to see him.

Well at this point take your guess as to who it was tried to convince Disgustipate that Robinson is better than Hartline, lol.

Wasn't me. I verified that much. But there seem to be a lot of folk who believe he was until he met Gabbert and a lot of dead brain cells.

The odds of LR finishing a season are not where you would like them to be, he has entered the 'hold yer breath' when he gets hit category and it's always just a matter of time, or hits to be more precise, with those guys before they are missing time. Going forward with a young team I think there are many more viable options, no sense falling in love with his talent in TC only to see him missing time due to getting hit, that combined with the fact that he won't be in future plans I would pass.

I'm literally asking who it was. I've got an idea(of someone who hasn't posted yet), but it's probably been built up too much, especially relative to other crimes.

It's almost a bit calloused that they're looking at him and reportedly Austie Collie. It seems a bit unethical to be willing to put a guy out there who might suffer life-altering events going on the field.

That was funny..people falling over themselves to take credit. Add me to that list. He was certainly better at one moment in time. But he is damaged at this point, and is nowhere near as valuable as Hartline. But Hartline is still in ascension, so maybe we have an incomplete sample and he will be better than Robinson ever was.

I'm sure there's a lot there. Sans moderation I would expect those threads to devolve into a game of one-upmanship over what they would rather have than Brian Hartline(a half-eaten 7-11 egg sandwich, a receipt for a box of tampons, etc)

I'm personally one of the ones that dislike him as a player. I'm white so it isn't that

It is that the vast majority of his yards came on busted coverage and/or against inferior talent that would be a 4th corner at best on most decent teams.

That doesn't mean he's never made a great play. It doesn't mean he's never beaten a good corner. What it means is that most corners shut him down. I agree he will be a lot better as a #2 but I'd still look to upgrade as he doesn't bring a lot to the table IMO.

I doubt it's me although I have been fairly down on him as a top receiver around here. I have some good guesses though. I'm the Antonio Brown > Brian Hartline guy.

If he passes our physical*, Id love to have him. Instant talent upgrade at a position that lacks depth despite what everyone says about our young wide-outs.
