All you need to know about Pruitt is that he has been a free agent since Miami cut him almost one year ago.
Things could change, but based on the camp reports and what I saw in that video, you have to think Marvin McNutt has a great chance of making the 53 man roster right now. I guess the question is just how long Rishard is going to be out. If he's out for an extended period of time, it looks like they are giving Brian Tyms a lot of chances to show his worth right now. It will be interesting to see if he makes the roster or if one of the UDFA's like Chad Bumphis or Jasper Collins ends up beating him out.
I like the signing and was very surprised he was cut last year. I thought he should have been recalled before signing Armstrong or Gaffney.
As I said before, it makes sense for special teams, but not as a receiver, unless he took that year and improved that skill set.
barry jackson has reported that the injury to matthews is to his knee http://miamiherald.typepad.com/spor...ns-from-monday-nights-dolphins-scrimmage.html
Does that strike anyone else as reading like someone other than Barry Jackson wrote it? Jackson is usually very matter of fact, and opinions are either obvious or provided by sources. That seems very much like the smug opining of Armando Salguero got slipped in for some reason.
More moves Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP 1h In addition to Julius Pruitt, #Dolphins sign receiver Keenan Davis and waive Armon Binns and Jasper Collins
At the scrimmage I saw Wallace run in warm ups, looked very fast, but unlike Hartline tweaking something I saw no reason for Wallace to stay on the sidelines. Anyone know why they didn't play him? If Wallace and Hartline are nursing even minor setbacks health wise, Pruitt is insurance only on ST's, they would surely have signed somebody who's shown he knows how to catch the ball.
