Sounds like Dion Jordan is annihilating Jonathan Martin.

I guess we're seeing why the team made offers to Long, Albert, and McKinnie before "settling" on Martin at LT

Josh Kaddu with a sack of Tannehill during 11-on-11. Welcome to training camp Kaddu.

O-line is getting lit up this practice, not only from Martin, looks like there a lot of screaming down the A-gaps tonight.

Ugh, I don't always take much from camp reports, but everyday we're hearing about Player X beating Jon Martin repeatedly. Not good. Sounds like he's going to need some consistent help from the scheme (chips, rollouts, etc). I really hope Martin plays a lot in preseason, stays in against opposing backup rushers.

Scared about Martin. I just don't see him improving. He wasnt good last year, not sounding very promising so far this year either. It's early, sure...

I'm sure Dion Jordan is potentially that good... but I'm also pretty sure Jonathon Martin is that bad too. Which has me worried about this offense, and Tannehill's health.

It's early.. It's early... that's what I've got to keep telling myself.

It's alright man, it's concerning. I want to see how he does in the HOF game, but this is beginning to look bleak. Jeff Ireland might have to be calling around for trade partners pretty soon.

Top Phins performers tonight: 1. Wheeler (pick 6). 2. McNutt (very active day with starters) 3. Tyms (active, 2 deep bombs in 1-on-1s).

I would like how many sacks today

Star of #Dolphins practice: DE Dion Jordan. He made some nice plays vs MIA's 1st-team o-line, had 2 sacks. Best day of camp for the rook.

I don't see any reason so far to think he's improved from last year. One positive comment tonight about him standing up Dion Jordon. Many about him getting whipped. Alot of that throughout camp so far too. There's alot to be concerned about on the OL by the sounds of things tonight. We shall see in time, hopefully theyll come together and improve.

You act like they wouldn't have atleast gave long an offer regardless of who the back up was. He was going to atleast get an offer from the home team no matter what. All the other 'offers' are sketchy at best.

Omg world is ending from practice notes.

5-7 by my count, plus a safety, pick-six, etc.

Defense took this practice to the bank.

@JamesWalkerESPN #Dolphins DE Dion Jordan ran in free for a sack. QB Ryan Tannehill spikes the ball in frustration. No one accounted for the DE.

Be the leader and tear into your line 17. No one should get a free shot at you untouched.

Hmm, maybe the drills are different. But doesn't this result in a turnover on downs?

Philbin's practices are about situational football, so instead of not getting a 4th down rep and only getting a punt rep, the Dolphins are essentially having their cake and eating it too. Unless you are being sarcastic and it just went completely over my head.

I noticed that, too. Maybe it's like that college game where the one team got a fifth down. This year's Miami Dolphins have to be ready for EVERY eventuality!

I know our defensive line is really deep with a lot of talent, but I am beginning to worry about our o-line if we keep giving up sacks at this frequency (especially the numerous free hits expressed in these tweets).

If Martin is struggling against Jordan then why isnt Wakw struggling against Clabo? Because i have barely heard Wakes name the last few practices. Why cant we think positively and accept that Clabo just MIGHT be an upgrade and Jordan MIGHT be an upgrade too? Lets not be too quick to assume Martin is going to suck (or continue to suck). Can we wait to see how he pans out first in real game action?

Well, keep in mind as well we have no frame of reference.

For example, Von Miller as a rook v Clady, this could very well mean Jordan is going to be a very special pass rusher, as iirc Wake occasionally beat Jake Long in 09 practices but not consistently.

And that was when he was a long shot CFLer who HAD to take advantage of the situation to make an impression, now he rarely goes flat out in practices..no reason to really.

Martin was a mediocre to poor LT in 2012, but that was based on pressures and not sacks surrendered, based on just sacks he was actually decent enough though a poorish run blocker.

If Jordan is beating him at this stage to me it says more about Jordan then Martin.

To add on to your point, Cam Wake has proven it on the field, JMart has not. Sunday can't come soon enough, I want to see what both Jordan and Martin can (or cannot) do.
