Eh, tape does not lie, JMart was a lower tier LT in 5 games in 2012, not the worst, not even close to top 15 either, real question is does that improve or is he what he is?

I can recall the 49ers Joe Staley being beaten like a drum by J Porter for a game ending sack as a Rook in 08, and he improved over time so let's not over react.

Do think Martin needs to pick his game up

If you think about it, who else is going to get beaten for a sack? Wake probably isn't going full-bore and you have two players at the RDE spot fighting for starting position. Not saying Martin doesn't need to step up his game, but it might seem a lot worse than it really is given how many tweets about it you hear throughout these practice reports.

Hard to admit coming from an in-state rival (Southern Miss grad), but Bumphis has come a long way from his initial start at Miss. St. He grew each year with State.

Is he wearing # 88? There was a WR in the scrimmage Monday but no 88 listed in the program. Didn't do much but likely hasn't learned much of the play book yet. Just wondering, told my wife 88 must be the new WR we had just signed over the weekend, couldn't remember his name.

DJ may need to be the chef for one of his other favorites prior the draft. I hear Eddie Lacy is a little "hefty" for a running back.

It was a very strange picture because all of the other pictures show he's actually in pretty good shape.

Someone was wearing 83 in today's pictures. And it wasn't an old picture of Collins. I am thinking that was Davis? Davis is a big kid.

yeah i watched some live footage from their practices, theres extra weight there that certainly doesnt need to be there when your playing that position, it's the element of the evaluation process that we sitting here have to roll the dice on, tell you what though, part of the interviewing process if I was in charge would be about getting their thoughts on training and nutrition during the offseason, what's their plan for themselves, get them to talk to see if their full of sh&$, completely ignorant, or do they actually realize that their body is their vehicle to perform and to set their families up for life..

Another player I was pretty high on comin out of college is Jon Dwyer from Pitt..he recently came out and said that he is finally going to get into shape this year......what???, this is crazy and unacceptable to me, how any organization allows such disrespect is beyond me, their basically not earning or deserving of the money their getting paid, tell you what, with players like Cam Wake setting the bar, for the scouting staffs who look away when it comes to the players intellect about their bodies and what needs to be done to achieve their potential, they will soon be dinosaurs in the game..The examples of failures are all around the league, every year, and some people will say to me, you can't dictate that philosophy onto every player or expect every player to subscribe to the scientific approach to their craft, and for that I say, fu&$ yeah they can, or they won't be on my team..every player can reach their max potential, no player can do it without the art of proper training and nutrition..

    Btw..dig the sig KB.

They make a statement on their site that they use organic when possible and avoid GMO when possible. They recently changed their cooking oil from soy to sunflower to get away from GMO soy. How many other restaurants give enough of a flying f**k to do that????

Based on the reports of the WRs sitting I think there's not much chance either Wallace or Hartline play in the Hall of Fame game.

And it appears Brandon Gibson and Marvin McNutt are the starters in their place. McNutt's ascension has been pretty incredible that way.

in this thread: mass hysteria over practice twitter notes.

This is why things like twitter should have never been invented. "We're talkin bout practice" so much hating on Martin over a few tweets. Practice shouldn't be open to the public IMO, it just leads to this nonsense.

Let the players practice. Get pissed during a game, sure. But let's wait and see if the plan they have in place works out or not.

Rest assured, Philbin and Ireland have more riding on Martin then you do.

Thursday practice highlights from twitter so far...

-Will Davis picks off another Pat Devlin pass today intended for Jeff Fuller, and then makes a big PBU on a Tannehill pass intended for Brandon Gibson. He's racking up the PBUs and INTs. Pat Devlin's going to have nightmares.

-Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline still sitting out. Wallace working with trainers on lower extremities. Still no word what ails him.

-Dion Jordan's speed gets him around Dallas Thomas for the beat in pit drills.

    That's about it so far.

I don't use twitter (I just see the tweets posted here), but in general I agree with what you're saying. A big part also depends on the person tweeting. I tend to ignore any opinion tweet by Omar. If he says something good or bad I assume it's based on an agenda and even if it isn't I'd assume it was wrong. LOL

True about McNutt, but how much of that is the loss of Binns ?? I know that he was being talked about before Binns went down, but would we be talking about him as much with Binns still here and what does that say about his progress ?? He doesn't have much choice, save for Matthews perhaps...
