I thought Miller was good but for the fumble.

Well he benefited from some wide open blocks as well. I coulda ran some of those (probably would've need oxygen right after though).

That's an automatic header, he just never changed it. We've all had that at some point.

    Don't judge!

he was certainly a bright spot on offense.. he wasn't perfect, but he was the best running back out there. Miller sample size just not enough to judge yet.

The line opened up things for him from what I've seen. To me, he didn't look great.

I didn't see Miller, though. So he's excluded.

  9. This game was mostly for the benefits of the coaches.

For instance they now have an excuse to give Miller extra drill time on handling handoffs. Take 7 points away from Dallas and we win that game. They will persecute Miller over that I am sure

I was only referring to the runs. The catches were good though, ya. But on some of those runs he had a huge lane. Not saying he sucked, but I didn't see anything that got me hyped up about him individually in the running game, that's all.

Yeah, Gray was outstanding. I thought Miller (sans brain fart) and Gillislee were good too. Thomas brought up the rear but he got some unlucky breaks where he had defenders in his face right away.

I'm glad it cost us the game from that standpoint, as it lets them REALLY drive ball security home with Lamar in a way that l;ets him directly connect the dots to how the mistake of poor ball security costs us games.

Question though, whose fault was the Miller fumble, really? 100% Miller? 50/50 Miller/Tannehill? or some other mix?

Did anyone else see Samuda chugging it downfield on that pick six by Dallas? He looked like he was going to pull a hammy! LOL... he ran harder than Bumphis.

Well ya, but aside from running through a grand canyon, he didn't do anything above and beyond individually...that's all I'm saying. Those yards he got through the big holes any of the running backs could've gotten, the line got those.

We really should update it with a Saban or Cam Cameron auto header I suppose.

I may have to donate money so we can get that done.

    Get Tuna off the menu.

We may finally see an end to Daniel Thomas' three and a half yard reign of terror.

  26. Right, that's my point that good things can come out of them making mistakes now so that the coaches can correct them.

The fumble looked like Millers fault to me. It looked like Tanny placed it right but I have not seen it in slow motion so maybe it was misplaced by Tanny?

#Dolphins HC Joe Philbin said Pat Devlin got "nicked" in the fourth and that led to playing Matt Moore again.

I bet Matt Moore was thrilled to get back in the game.

Then with whatever the latest marketing slogan is... "Get Some" or "Do Your Time" or whatever the *** it is.

I'm sure Deej knows what the current motto is. He's into the mottos. He tatooed "Respect The Code" to his glutes when Parcells arrived. Had to cover it up with "Inspect The Hole"

He's entering his 3rd year. And he's making this team unless the others dramatically outplay him the rest of the preseason.

    That's my not-so-bold prediction.

I'd say being putrid doesn't matter since it's just preseason, but how long have we been saying that??

I agree, but he needs to pick his **** up. He looked much worse than Gillislee and Gray. He had one nice run, otherwise he was terrible.

I don't like agreeing with most things you post... but I'll say this...

If this team goes 6-10 or worse this year I don't see how you do anything but clean house.... and I worry that that's more damaging than continuity.

Let's assume we'll look better by the end of preseason, shall we.

Just rewatched the fumble. Tannehill stuck it in there. Miller was focused on the line and where he was running. He never secured it and it looked like it bounced out from beneath his arms.

Collingsworth was quick to blame it on both "an inexperienced Quaterback and an inexperienced runningback". I didn't see where any part of it was on Tannehill. He put it in Miller's breadbasket.

Also, Daniel Thomas didn't stand a chance the plays where he got the ball.

Sometimes unsure/no chemsitry can contribute to that appearance. 'Figuring out' where to go, who to block, what to do at NFL speed is not the same as playing full speed.
