McNutt, Bumphis and Tyms, all seem a little slow. Is this true? I'm still pulling for JLane. I think he's a bruising receiver....
so apparently Matt Moore is on fire today and Ryan has thrown 3 INT`s, will the QB controversy threads start soon ?
You mean the same guy that went for an extended period of time in training camp without throwing one?
Yes. The same guy that just recently looked off his game Sunday night also. Its no big concern because if memory serves me correctly Tanny didn't always start games all that well but was a decent finisher. IMO
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP1m Jonas Gray action. If HOF game was first NFL game I ever saw, I'd probably think Gray is one of the best running backs in the league.
Glad to see the Will Davis INT machine is back online. The one thing that Football Outsiders guy said that people should take to heart is...rookie corners are notorious for performing poorly no matter HOW talented they are. They always take time. Pat Peterson is an all-world type talent and has become a lockdown corner. But in his rookie year he was a bad corner, allowed an s-ton of yards and catches. So when I hear about Will Allen having a bunch of INTs and PBUs but also getting beat a lot and allowing a lot of catches, I'm naturally going to tend to focus on the INTs and PBUs because I assume every rookie corner is going to get beat and let up an s-ton of catches and yards. That's why I've never proposed getting Davis on the field more than in special situations (my suggestion was red zone defense). He may have screwed up and got that DPI flag the other night but he had the makings of good defense on the play. After the game he tweeted about how he just thought he had worse coverage than he actually had on the play and so he never got his head around, chalked it up to jitters. I'll accept that pretty much at face value and I think it's the kind of thing he gets better with the more game time experience he has.
Well deserved after his HoF game. I'm hoping he continues to show the same when facing 1st and 2nd team defenses in the next preseason games.
not surprising to hear this is RT's worst practice of the summer... first extended action since last week, not counting the Dallas game because he barely played.
On the Finsiders chat yesterday they had a poll about which player had the best performance the other night. The choices were Derrick Shelby, Jonas Gray, Keenan Davis and Chad Bumphis. It was amazing to me that Bumphis trailed all three, even Davis. To me Bumphis had the most significant, needle-moving performance.
if louis is finally back, the depth all of a sudden on the right side with him and samuda looks ok there he is again...i think omar is wrong, it´s 4 INT`s
Keep in mind there's no Pat Devlin today. That means a 50% workload expansion for both quarterbacks and that means 50% more interceptions.
That's why I'm not worried he only had 13 all last year as a raw rookie, I think this shows more that the focus on turnovers is paying off more than Tannehill is struggling. Yes 4 picks is never good and he's not having his best practice obviously but I see more positive in this for our D than negative on Tannehill's part
Hellz yea, Will Davis. Love the word coming out about this kid. Hope he plays a lot in these next preseason games.
