Wtf is tanny getting worse?Terrible on Friday, looked pedestrian at best in cowboys game and I just read he threw 4 picks in today's practice.I don't know if I can take it if he lets us down Somebody talk me off the ledge .
You realize we "talking bout practice"? Devlin is out and he and Moore took more snaps than usual and gave the Defense more opportunities to gamble and make some plays. He also threw several TDs. As long as he doesn't throw the INTs in the upcoming game I am fine with it... for now...
I also realize he is not a proven qb in this league we need to see improvement in practice. Not to mention he was not impressive against Dallas.I have every right to be concerned or does everybody forget the last savior?
I have never been a big believer in Tannehill. I want him to prove me wrong and become the starter for this team for the next decade. I just don't see at this time he is much improvement over Henne, and I thought Henne was below average at best. Hopefully he will take a giant step up this season, but if he doesn't, I could see the new GM next year drafting his own QB in the first round of the 2014 draft.
I think you can't underestimate the effect taking a lot more reps in practice than normal -- due to Devlin's injury -- has. He does, in general, need to improve his accuracy, but I wouldn't freak over today's practice.
It begins... Didn't he go 4 full practices without an INT? And now we're going to piss ourselves over 1 bad day of practice?
I found him much more impressive during the game than his counterpart for the Cowboys, Romo... He spent most of the camps being praised for NOT throwing INTs. I can forgive him throwing a few given the circumstances. Jim Cavieziel?
I just read through the entire thread and found that no one said you didn't have the right to be concerned. Its weird that no one said that but you declared that you had the right.
Will need to see more than 10 snaps with my own eyes to comment on such an important topic..unless Omar Kelly and co are your eyes OP?
Peyton Manning once threw 6 picks in an actual game (not taking a shot at one of the greatest players ever don't worry), my point is don't freak out over one practice, before this he went a whole week without one. Bad days happen
Actually I'm pretty sure a lot of people talked about that when it happened. He's streaky. Didn't he set a record last year for consecutive rookie pass attempts without a pick? But then he also had four multiple-pick games and two hat tricks. Streaky.
I was being more specific to OP. I know he was getting praise for the multiple practices without a pick. Honestly, I don't mind it, it means our defense is getting ints which we all know was few and far between last season.
I know the instinct is always to throw water on the fire but honestly I'm pretty sure 100% of us are at least a teensy bit discouraged to hear that Tannehill's newfound consistency is still oldfound streakiness. Just be honest. It's ok. Nobody's going to judge you.
Oh wow... A bad practice in TC where he's taking way more reps than normal due to the Devlin injury and we get this around here? Jeez... lump him in with Martin and trade them both away...
Tanny isn't proven enough for us as fans to dismiss any poor play. Certainly isnt a good thing to see or read, his progress is the key to our season for better or worse.
I thought you would be the first with your " as usual" wise *** remarks. You must enjoy those fist humps from your buddies.
I certainly don't like that he had 3 picks today. I'm not doing cartwheels when he's throwing multiple TDs during the week with no INTs either. I'll save my manic ways for when the games count
That's my exact point but these other people on this site whom I won't waste my time responding to because I have no respect for them can't understand that simple point. He's not Brady or manning he needs to earn our trust ?
I hope if he does bust... that he pulls a Hernandez so I can get my money back on the jerseys I bought.
Well I'm certainly very concerned. I think it's time to start looking around the league. How about Kyle Orton, he looked pretty good in that HoF game.
Yes!! Just like how we signed Fiedler right after he lit us up in the playoffs and sent Marino into retirement on a sickening note...
