He's been actively tweeting since April I believe. Either way, does that make a difference? Shareholders are only looking at one thing.

You're good Rev. How can you tell from Aquafin's pic, an F6F from an F4F? They look about the same on the outside.

He is even more inept, more like the Sean Hannity of local sports writers.

He said the P40 was underrated, not that it was the best. FTR our best WW2 fighter planes were the F4U Corsair, and the P38 Lightning . Those heathen Japs called the Corsair "whistling death" and the P38, "fork tailed devil". P38's shot down more Jap planes than any other.

I don't read his stuff. Listened to this interview, and it was the first time I even heard his voice. I'm just judging based on the traffic he creates on this forum. People are enamored with him.

Yes, it does make a difference. If Omar Kelly and Barry Jackson joined Twitter and started posting on the same day, then Omar Kelly having more followers would be significant.

Seriously injured Long and Marc Columbo may have contributed to those fumbles quite a bit. But I agree, Matt Moore isn't the long term answer. I think he could have been an excellent bridge to Tannehill though.

(To add to your point about followers) If Jackson was on twitter since April, it's news to me since I saw his first tweet the 2nd week of training camp because some RT'd it.

I'm reading this thread but I won't even start to click on his article the word Omar was a instant red flag to ignore it. Seeing tweets of practice is one thing but when it comes to his opinions of players it's a waste of my time.

Lol, I currently follow/unfollow him for every camp practice, and only follow him because I know he's there so may get some hints of what's going on. Outside practice I have no interest in what he says, or thinks.

Lol, that's awesome and so true, does he know that most only follow him to get camp happenings, not his opinion, not what he thinks about life or his sports narrative, just whether the ball was passed or ran,I swear, really that's it, his evaluation comments mean 0 to me.

LOL @ Omar being interviewed and WGAM actually treating him as if his opinion is worth a damn. Maybe tomorrow they'll ask Flavor Flav to break down the NY philharmonic symphony.

And the irony of all this complaining about him and his ego is the following:

    (tallied as of 11:30am Wednesday)

    Dolphins Writer (organization) Twitter Followers
    Alain Poupart (MiamiDolphins.com): 1,349
Chris Joseph (Miami New Times): 2,454
Ryan Yousefi (Miami New Times): 3,202
Andrew Abramson (Palm Beach Post): 3,599
    Ken LaVicka (ESPN 106.3): 3,667
Alessandro Miglio (B/R, PFF, The Huddle): 4,626
    Adam Beasley (Miami Herald): 6,271
James Walker (ESPN AFC East Blog): 8,293
Chris Perkins (South Florida Sun Sentinel): 8,288
    Barry Jackson (Miami Herald): 10,495
    Jesse Agler (MiamiDolphins.com): 12,462
Dave Hyde (South Florida Sun Sentinel): 13,511
    Armando Salguero (Miami Herald): 24,883
Omar Kelly (South Florida Sun Sentinel): 29,091

Omar has nearly 3x as many followers as Barry Jackson, who is universally hailed. He had more than 2x as many followers as Ben Volin did before he left for the Globe.

And the guy that most people despise with nearly equal lust, Armando Salguero? Has nearly as many followers.

I recall... And I could be wrong.... Plummer being an athletic QB who had a so so arm. I recall him making bad decisions way too frequently. Idk, how anyone could compare ryan to jake at this point. Ryan appears to have a much stronger arm... And we really don't know about his decision making yet.

Honestly I don't mind him having an opinion but I can't stand the way he talks down to people. The guy is a fan that gets paid to write about the team. He has some insights that we don't because of access... But he has no clue how the game is played or why things are done the way they are...

Probably not many since Omar actively blocks people that say anything disrespectful to him. In fact he's taken to preemptively blocking people that follow him. He'll click on followers' timelines and see if they have a habit of saying douchey or disrespectful things and preemptively block them, lol.

    He's obsessed, lol.

I truly wonder how many people he's blocked. It's in the thousands, I'm pretty sure.

I don't know why people have their panties in a wad about the Jake Plummer comparison.

Jake the Snake was actually a good quarterback in Arizona but he threw too many interceptions because they never really harnassed him right or put him in the right system. Then he went to Denver and his skill set was a perfect match with Mike Shanahan's system. He was 39-15 as a starter in Denver, had two seasons with QB Ratings in the 90's (and this was back when the number of QBs in the NFL that finished with 90+ ratings was only about 3 to 5 annually).

He wasn't a weak armed QB at all. He had a gun.

Eh, his problem was throwing boneheaded int's ala Chad Henne, that and think he just was not mature enough to handle the rigors of the job.

THill's issue is not dummy int's it is a lack of consistent, accurate, ball placement.

IMO he can have a high QBR and a completion percentage in the low 60's, the problem will be he is leaving plays on the field due to his above issues.

I just don't see the comparison - and I liked Jake. I always thought he should've been a Raider as he reminded me of the original "Snake", Kenny Stabler for some reason.

I am still trying to see where Omar came up this comparison. Easy to throw something out there, harder to justify it.

I admit though, I do the same thing. I'm not going to be douchey about it like saying that following me on twitter is a privilege not a right or some cockamamy jazz like that, and I NEVER tweet about blocking someone, but I mean...why would you follow someone just so you can read their tweets and then tweet at them disrespectfully? The way I figure it is, if you're following me and you're tweeting at me, you're in my house...and if you want to be disrespectful why the hell wouldn't I kick you out of my house? Doing you a favor, in all likelihood. If you don't like me, why would you actively try and keep me in your life? Like in Office Space, when I block someone I'm just "fixing the glitch".

Omar acts like a guy who's butt-hurt because the Dolphins haven't fulfilled something in his life that is lacking...he acts like it's a personal attack on him if they do something he doesn't agree with. The guy has issues...I'd never follow him if I used Twatter. He has spawned so many threads of hate that clog up this and other Dolphins sites, I wish he'd just go away. There are several VERY smart football posters on this board that I enjoy reading, he can suck it.

I don't care about Omar, learned a lot on this site, you don't agree with him, cool. Omar doesn't dictate how good RT will be, only RT can. So why argue or get pissed at an opinion? Just hope he is wrong and RT becomes who we think he can.
