Watched the start of the Broncos / 9ers game. They pulled Peyton after 4 plays to keep Aldon Smith from destroying him. The Broncos starting OLine seriously sucked against the 9ers starting D. Peyton was 2 of 4 for 13 yards and Smith was all over him each dropback. Hoping to see that sort of domination from Dion Jordan in a couple more seasons.
About the same reaction here...remember...it's only the first PS game...let things work out...the O's catch up to the D's before too long in this league...
I think that was probably just instinctive for CKap. Like a young gun, he saw his shot and took it. I am sure the coaches had already told him not to take chances. He probably didn't consider it risky at all. Still he was sharp - 4 for 4 and a scramble. He was the best QB in the game.
I watched multiple 1st Quarters last night (thanks to the awesome preseason package), and O-Line breakdowns were common (especially in the Broncos and Bucs cases). I would be happy with even a bit of improvement tonight from Martin. I also expect RT to step it up. I am really going to be watching the accuracy and timing with the WRs. I am hoping we take a shot downfield too, give us a chance to see how Martin holds up when he has to, and show off our new weapon a little!
The first five passes of preseason are not a reason to consider mass hysteria - unless you are a reporter - especially in Miami/Ft. Liquordale. Then, for a select few, they might even be a reason for a high five! I have a great sense of amazed astonishment that somebody is actually getting paid to write this drivel. A blind man in a coal sack in a basement at midnight could see that the offense was not in synch! Wow! YaThink? First game of preseason!!! It would seem that someone was really suffering from writer's cramp! I am actually glad that the first snap was a fiasco. Let Tannehill and Miller realize they need to pay attention and get the butterflies out now - and not opening day! They will really focus on that handoff next few times in practice until it becomes accustomed to their normal work load - instead of looking like that is the first time they have done it this season.... oh.. Wait! The corollary to the Blind Hog finding the Acorn is that the rest of the time the Blind Hog sniffs a whole lot of {"'stuff'"} finding nothing, but he still snorts, grunts and defecates.
