So the ****ing landlord decided to rent my room out without even bothering to check to see if I was moving out lol. She told me I had to be out by the Aug 12th. So last night I was pretty ****ing pissed, but cooled down and found that Alaska a pretty good landlord tenant act that protects both parties. The earliest she can legally make me move out is Sept 12th, called and confirmed with the local Alaskan legal services and I'm in the right and they will help out if I need any help. Can't wait to ram that **** down her throat!! Thanks for listening, just wanted to vent and now I'm ecstatic and in a great mood lol.
Picked up Disc golf this past weekend, played sat and sunday.....can't get enough of it, really enjoy it.
Back in Houston this week (and last) doing work for the project group (in the job that I'm supposed to have had now for months) as a project engineer. In the 7 days I've been there so far I don't think I have accomplished much on the $2M project I'm working on, because every time I find the answer to a question I seem to discover a new question that I need answered. But I freaking love it. I feel like I'm learning a ton, and actually feel like I'm going to be using what I went to school for.
I just got into it here in Juneau for the first time. They have a really awesome course in the woods here. Elevation changes and huge trees in the way hahaha.

Well, today is easy to call in as well as tomorrow but Thurs. will be far more difficult because they know there might be a good chance you will call in Fri. too. So on Thurs. when they ask about Friday, assure them you will be there......then call in sick again.
Horrible plan. Take off until Friday and go in. Then cough and sneeze the whole time and act super sick, then they'll send you home and you'll look like a trooper for coming in so sick.
I will say it was harder then I expected! Just because everything was back to back. By the time I got to the mile I was exhausted. I am glad I opted to do it at 6am instead of 8 am, as by the time 8 came it was so much hotter!
It always works in a office type setting (it doesn't work at manual labor jobs, in my experience). I learned it in elementary school. Saw a kid was legitimately sick and the teacher told him to go to the nurse. Light bulb went off.

Sooooo, I am flying from Orlando to Key West on this coming Saturday and just looked at the ticket that my parents bought me (I am meeting them down there after finishing up my finals). I just noticed its on a small Saab 340 seating only around 34 people. After looking up some information about the plane I also found out that it has been out of production since 1999 and the company I am flying on only has 38 planes in their whole fleet. Additionally, it stops in Fort Myers with a total flight time of 2 hours and 20 minutes. As you can probably tell I have pretty bad flying anxiety and nothing I looked up has made me feel any better. I know it sounds crazy, but I am considering telling my parents that I will just drive down to the Florida Keys from Gainesville. I'd probably have to pay them back for the flight ($106) and spend a good deal of money on gas since I have a 2002 Ford Explorer that gets about 17 MPG, not to mention how long it would take to drive down. Who would have thought that after watching Shark Week on Discovery I would be more concerned about flying than diving for lobster once I get down there. I know its irrational, but yeah. endrant/.

decided to hitch a ride with my dad at 5am on saturday. I know flying is safer than driving, but I always "feel" safer driving, especially in a big *** RV lol

I quit soda about 4 years ago. It wasn't easy, but it's do-able. I replace it with tea. Forced myself to drink a **** ton of tea. I stay away from bottled teas as their sugar is almost equal to that of soda's...so what's the point? Been a solid 4 years, and now I enjoy the occasional soda on a hot summer day, but I don't touch it even twice in a 2 month period.
