How come nobody picked up Hernandez? He'll catch more balls than anyone in the NFL this year.... PPR Monster...

I was tempted to take him the last round just because of my team name.

The only player I really wanted but went a few picks before me (not sure if I was BKed) was Daryl Richardson. I think in a PPR format he is gonna kill it this year.

I got that already. I was wondering what it meant. By using my context clues I deduced that it refers to BuckeyeKing. I assume he's notorious about sniping picks?

Quite the opposite. It started in the GML on the forums where my targets would get taken right before my selection. It happened a lot the first couple years and it made me rage. So getting BK'd is synonymous with being sniped in any format.

since no one else wants to claim them I figured I'd load up on backup running backs in case there's a preseason injury.

So far I got Roy Helu, Rashad Jennings (Oak), Isaac Redman & LaRod Stephens-Howling, Lance Dunbar, and LeGarrette Blount.

This is just for preseason. Once regular season hits I'll have to drop a few to fill out the 3 open slots at Dline & DB.

yeah last year I changed my Dline & DBs as often as my undies.... so I'd rather spin the dice and possibly land a starting RB than have 1 DL & 2 DBs taking up space for 3 weeks.

Live ppr draft tonight, I'm the defending champ(self promotion)...I own the 7th pick in a snake draft, if Spiller or McCoy are there I'm snatching them if not I guess I have to reconfigure a different strategy.

And by the way I'm strongly considering over drafting Reggie on the way back just to make sure I get him.

If Spiller & McCoy aren't there I don't think you can go wrong with a back like Alfred Morris considering he has a strong handcuff in Helu as an insurance policy.

why not? He should be a consistent fantasy back with him now contributing heavily in the passing game while also still being the starting back. Last year Reggie posted inconsistent point totals from week to week amidst some scattered monster outings b/c we had crap at WR/TE around him and made little effort to involve him in the passing game. This year he should be consistently strong from week to week while still notching some monster games. So, you ready to re-survey my roster? :shifty:

    Yea lets see it.

I do like your team. (Leagues with defensive players are GAY)

Britt stays healthy you can do some damage. Richardson has potential, Cameron may be the next Jimmy Graham.

    You should be excited.

I love IDP leagues. IMO it adds a nice extra element and provides even greater need for strategy and team maintenance from week to week b/c of how significant those matchups can be. But I understand- to each his own. I intentionally don't like to play a lot of leagues b/c I prefer the feeling of rooting strongly for one team and its specific players [which you can't do with half a dozen fantasy teams], and adding in defensive players only heightens that enjoyment b/c it makes it feel more like an actual team to me.

I'm happy with the team (considering it's a 14 team league). I wanted Cobb & Amendola pretty badly b/c I felt they'd provide consistent points on a weekly basis rather than up and down like Matt Ryan & Peyton Manning's receivers, and I felt Britt could easily outperform his 7th round status and play like a quality WR2 if he remains healthy. I nabbed Gronkowski in the later rounds two years ago in ThePhins League thinking he'd have a breakout season, so I'm hoping Cameron does the same. That team was HOF worthy if I do say so myself (12 team league):
    QB- Ryan
    RB- Foster
    RB- R Matthews
    WR- B Marshall
    WR- Dez
    WR- AJ Green
    TE- Gronkowski
    Flex- Cruz
    Flex- Cobb/Amendola/Maclin
    DEF- San Fran
    K- Akers

My ppr league got wacky, one guy snatched 3 QBs before the 10th round....WRs were flying off the board early...here goes.

    Picked #7

    D.Martin
    CJ Spiller
    Steven Jackson
    Larry Fitzgerald
    Jordy Nelson
    Vernon Davis
    Desean Jackson
    DeAngelo Williams
    Kenbrell Thompkins
    Eli Manning
    Kenny Britt
    Jordan Cameron
    Jonathon Franklin
    Carson Palmer
    Rams D
    Greg Zuerlein

These guys purposely reached for backup QBs, so I had to make the best of it.

.... and made up for it by landing Spiller in the 2nd round.. and Martin at pick 7? WTF is that about?
What'd you do- join a league with your daughter's classmates? Betting cartons of milk and snack packs, eh? You should be ashamed of yourself.
Nice team BTW. I think you'll live with Manning or Palmer at QB, and at least you have plenty of trade ammo.

Doug Martin, CJ Spiller, and Steven Jackson in a PPR League? It's game over... you have Eli Manning at QB, I think he is fine as a starter. He's a low end starter but he can put up numbers. You do have a flex, right?

I really like Fitzgerald this year and I think Jordy Nelson could rebound. DeSean Jackson is a sleeper because of where he is currently being drafted however I'm not too high on Vernon Davis. That has much more to do with me wondering if Kaepernick will get him the ball.

Actually it's a league of 40-50 year old guys who all are college educated and have their own businesses. The chiropractor was the guy with more QBs than RBs in week 10. The guy who owns a coupe Chik-Fil-A's took Ryan Mathews early in the 3rd. They are all successful in life, but bad at fantasy.

I was one pick from nabbing CKap in the 12th round, but a guy who had Tom Brady and Andrew Luck decided he needed a 3rd QB I guess.

I'm hoping my QB by committee works out, Bradford is a guy I will monitor early.

Yea, you can Flex WR/RB, so I'll have my 3 guys in at the same time. Then Eli at QB, Fitzgerald and Desean Jackson at WR at first. Jordy at SF coming off an injury will likely Bo on my bench week 1.
