I have been a fan of the Dolphins since 1969 . I was living in California at the time and was supporting them when they lost to Dallas in the Superbowl. But this new logo has got me feeling pretty low. I live in he Northwest now and might new to find a new AFC team . This logo is not representative of a football team. It is way to sleek and happy looking. At least the old logo had a helmet on the dolphin. Is there a movement to change this logo?. All other teams that have changed logos have done a great job I.e. the Patriots and the Broncos. I don't usually do stuff like this and comment ,but it has really ticked me off!
There is no accounting for taste.I didnt like the helmet on the Dolphin and I dont care much for the whale looking dolphin either but the logo and uniform choice is pretty way down in my priorities. It certainly would not make me think about changing teams.In fact I dont think anything would including a move to another city. anyone willing to change loyalties because of a logo isn't a very strong fan, regardless of how long they have been following the team. not trying to offend, but seriously?
Welcome. Trust me you're not alone. The new logo is awful, simply awful. Some hated the helmet on the Dolphin but it made perfect sense and was probably one of the most representative logos in the league of it's team. It's a logo. It's not supposed to be scientifically correct and does not matter if Dolphins wear helmets in the wild. Cracked me up every single time I heard that silly argument. That said, the new logo does not have me "feeling low". I just hate seeing it. I would never change being a fan of the team because of any design. You need to check yourself on that one! You're either a fan or your not.
I don't particularly like the new logo but I didn't like when they took Flipper away from the end zone either but that's just me. I am still a die hard Dolphin fan even if they put a catfish on the side of the helmets. Of course that would look pretty strange.
I have zero problems with the new logo. WHen I was at HOF last week, I asked 3 girls their opinions on the old vs new logo. The 6 and 9 year olds liked the old logo because of the helmet. The woman liked the new logo. When I put them side by side, I like the new one better as well. Change is a good thing. After 20 years of mediocrity - sprinkled with a couple years of surprising goodness - I welcome the change. The only logo I really hated seeing changed was the patriots logo.
Let me get this right you have been a true fan since 69 but yet thinking of switching to another all because of the new logo? Last I knew the Miami Dolphins as a team is more than just a logo, though I too am not fond of this new logo I am still a Dolfan true and true. Here's a hint the update is to generate revenue, you know the thing business are in the business to do. I will root for my Phins as long as they stay in Miami and are the the Dolphins, they could wear pink as far as I'm concerned.

I feel for you, I've been a fan for over 40 years and I too hate this crap we now call our logo. I'm still going to be a fan of the team, but I just won't buy anything with the new logo on it. Ross just saved me money...lol
