Miami Dolphins vs Houston Texans Pre-Season Game Thread Lets gooooooooo phins!!! I want to see a turn over on D (starters) Tannehill connect a few times with MW Tannehill continue his chemistry with Keller Our running game look good A sack and or some pressures AND NO ****ING TIPPED BALLS AT THE LOS RYAN!!!!
Good morning sleepy heads..Hungover folks, first thing I want you to do is make your self a damn protein shake instead if eating a bunch a crap when you wake up ya hear.. Ice..skim milk..1 banana..protein powder (go get some) your favorite frozen berries, lil honey..a little oats..done.. Playing the texans...away again, been three weeks since we've played at home, hopefully we have a nice home crowd next week when we play the bucs.. Ryan Tannehill needs to play faster, with some confidence, he needs to give our team some swagger.. Look forward to seeing Jon Martin play, prolly won't be against Watt though.. Just let Rishard Matthews and chad Bumphis start and I'm good. Wanna see that defense again, wanna feel confident that we are a legitimate top 5 defense... Grilling and health portion of the thread...by request..this is what I'm making for dinner for my boy.. Getting some lean turkey burger, 1 red onion, some nice soft rolls, pickles...93/7 lean to fat can be your ratio to start I want you to make some burgers, and I want you to get messy.. Form your patties, kosher salt, fresh black pepper, put to the side.. Then I want you to slice your red onion in a slice, two thin slices for every burger, then I want you to take that slice of onion and press it into one side of the burger, (don't ask questions just do it) then do the other side with another slice pressin it into the meat..I want you to brush each side if the burger with some canola oil.. Get your grill medium high hot.. Corn in the cob..keep in it's husk, soak in water while grill is getting hot.. Once grill is hot, put your corn up top on the grill, let that steam for about 15 mins, turn, the husk is gonna burn, that's okay, as the husk burns the corn will be exposed, get some color on that corn once it's steamed ya hear.. Then put your burgers down, don't mess with them, once you see the meat turn a different color half way up the meat, flip, do the other side, turkey burger should feel firm to the touch when done.. Make sure you put your buns on the grill to get some marks.. Throw a bunch of ketchup mustard pickles on that bad boy and I promise you won't miss the greasy fat of a real one.. Lets look good tonite...damn it..
I'll be at a pig roast party of 120+ people that has nothing to do with football, so I won't be able to see, but I just hope that Martin is enough of a replacement and that we beat the Texans. Go Phins!
So wait... You stick the onion slices the the burger Pattie like a bun and cook it that way? That actually does sound tasty. As for tonight... Just win! Tanny needs to look strong. So does the #1 ol
The process is called caramelization Brandon, your onions will Carmelize at the same time your meat is cooking, sort of like infusing the meat with that naughty onions,
So this is a food thread? Seems like the wrong title Looking for Tannehill and Wallace to connect at least once tonight, preferably deep for a TD. Looking at Martin at LT tonight vs. a very good Txans DL, will Tannehill have time to throw? Will we have any running lanes for Miller, Thomas, Gray, et al? And how will our first team D fare in the running game and more important against the pass when the Texans have their first team O on the field? Wish we would leave the starters on offense in for the entire first half, Moore for entire second half. What do we care if Corp plays well at QB if we're expecting Devlin to return and replace Corp? I know you want to see if Corp is a potential replacement for Devlin in case he goes down again, so I guess I would play him fourth quarter, but I would really like to see at least the starting OL play entire first half, we really need to know where we really are on the OL. Does it burn the onion? And do you eat it with the onion patties or are they just for cooking and toss them after cooking?
You should try using a frozen banana. Better consistency Sent from my HTC One GE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I was drunk last night. First thing I did this morning was eat a big cupcake Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
Idk if I'm still a sleepy head or if by greasy bacon has slowed me down...or if your drunk but you're cracking me up in here.
Great thread Deej! You da man! Looking to see: - Jonas Grey vs Gillislee performance - Does Egnew continue his rise - Who performs at RG - Can Martin hold up at LT - Matthews and Bumphis chemsitry in this offense - Lamar Miller getting more carries today against a playoff team - How Sturgis kicks now that there is no competition - Assuming Starks and Jordan are held out. HOw do OV and Shelby look on that line. - Does Will Davis show any progress in his tackling and staying with his assignment (not getting fooled) yet still get PBU or INT - Does Tannehill show marked improvement - And the big one.... do DJ's turkey burgers turn out satisfactorily
I love caramalized onions. Just wasn't too sure if they'd be burnt when directly on the grill like that...

If you are really good, you cut the onion in half, smoke it, and use the petals as sort of mini tacos for the smoked meat. And was drunk as Dean Martin last evening, woke up this morn and ate...nothing at all. I think we take the texans, though Yates is their backup Qb, he's pretty good.
-Definitely want to see our aggressive first team D against their starters. I know Foster isn't supposed to be playing but Schaub and Johnson are. - I will be zeroing in on J Mart and Samuda a lot early. Want too how they handle this front seven Houston has. Give 17 some goddamn time. - As you said I want to see continued improvement from Mr. Egnew. Loved the way he stuck with his blocks last week. Can he be consistent with it? - Tannehill to keep building steam and find Wallace a few times. I do not need the bomb TD but I of course wouldn't be mad it. - Wouldn't mind seeing Sturgis hit a FG at the end of the half or end Of 4th quarter. Show that clutch kid. Hey guys..... Texans fan here. I got to say this is the first time I can think of that the opposing teams fans were more worried about winning than I was. I mean..... it's no big deal right? Win or lose? This isn't about winning, it's about confirming what you've seen in practice & formulating a game plan for the entire year. But yeah... if it makes you feel better & helps you beat the Patriots & Indy in the real season.... have at it. I hope you win too. Just don't hurt my guys okay?
We want the same you do...health, solid play, improvement and cohesion. That tends to end up in a win though lol, unless of course the 1st team shows all that, and the 2/3 teams stink it up.
