Naw I was fine with passing on Lane Johnson, Dion Jordan will be a fine player and once he heals up he'll contribute right away. I would've done things differently (like what Minnesota did) but I'm fine with Jordan. But I did think we should have signed Vollmer or Bryant McKinnie.

Sure Kelly was talking up his former player, but your fooling yourself. The Eagles were always going LT.

The only way the Eagles take anything but a LT is if all three went the first three picks. The Eagles called Kansas City the moment Miami traded up because they thought Lane Johnson was gone.

    Jeeeez.

Yes because Miami has a history of taking OL high and people over reacted to Jake Long being a FA.

Still doesn't ignore the fact that Martin has held down the fort at LT to the point that's he's #2 rated by PFF for the preseason. It's been the right side of our OL that has been a problem.

So yes your advocating throwing away the #3 overall pick on a linemen we ended up NOT needing instead of a pass rusher who likely in a couple years is going to be our prime pass rusher once Cameron Wake falls off.

Thats if his comparison was accurate - It's not. Pat White didn't have twice the college career as Marino and he played in the crippled Big East. Marino played for PITT who always ran a top schedule as a an IND when Marino played. Marino was 4th in the Heisman, Pat White never sniffed more than 7th in voting. Marino passed for more yards and had the better Arm.

Again, Brian Bosworth would have been the better choice. He had similiar numbers to JJ, played in a top conference at the time but flopped in the NFL. That won't be the case with JJ.

I'm done debating it... We drafted Jordan and Jordan is Superman. I get it. There was no other pick more suited for this team than Superman. I get it.

No offense bud, but that wasn't J.J. Watt across from Martin in the Houston game, it wasn't a regular season game with WATT coming full speed every down.

    Your fooling yourself.

Ok - Really - I'm done with this hopeless debate. You can live it yourself when Miami ranks near the bottom of the league in sacks allowed. Anyone that can be partially objective can see THAT coming.

I could be wrong, but they're olines during their super bowl runs weren't very good.

you might have proven my point accidentally, cause the giants didn't make the playoffs last year with that fantastic o line...

Yah. Your done because you don't even know what your talking about. Watt doesn't line up over Martin. He lines up over the RG/RT depending on the alignment.

The left side starters have been solid. Once Jerry is back at RG the right side should stabilize as Jerry is OK at pass blocking (run blocking is meh though).

Its our OL depth that is poor right now.

I was referencing what Watt did to Martin in the opener last year, but if you want to be technical, Smith would own Martin also.

No worries though, our offensive line rocks. I do get it now. I'm coming around with my imagination. I'll have Martin in the Pro-bowl if you just give me some more time with this.

This is why I replied to you. You question the logic of someones argument while consistently using logical fallacies like straw men. Where did I say Jordan was Superman? In fact, where did I address Jordan at all? You're just randomly throwing stats out hopping something is sticks. For instance: Is there a more meaningless stat comparison than finishing 4th or 7th Heisman voting? This is besides the point though, you made a bad comparison based solely on some college stats, and he pointed it out by making an equally relevant bad comparison. And, you just proved his point when you bring up physical attributes like having a better arm. Plus, you clearly still don't get it, he didn't compare either Marino or White to JJ. Finding a better comparison to JJ is not relevant to his argument.

Oh quit overreacting. I never said he was Pro Bowl caliber. He's not top 10 material but he's shown me enough that I'm not worried about the position now. Just making fun of you because you wanted to waste a top 3 pick on a spot we seemed to have filled just fine without it. Your the one going to extremes talking about how we will be bottom of the league yadda yadda. Your the one overreacting about an injury like Dion's career is already done and you refuse to see obvious improvement in Martin when it's right there in front of your face. I mean really your best argument is "Uh uh....what about Watt". Christ. It's this hyperbole that gets LB mocked all the time...and why I made the earlier tongue in cheek reference.

The simple fact is this team has spent enough high resources on the OL as is. It was damn time to put some top resources into other positions.

    That's not his point.

His point is that it unequivocally has not paid off and we have the worst line on the league....even though we've yet to play an actual game.

That opinion has no bearing in fact, reality, logic, stats, tape, intelligence, common sense or football knowledge.

And thats where your wrong... in fact - Not yet

    In reality - Soon enough

In logic - It's perfect logic

In Stats - There are no stats yet.

    In Tape - Yessir

In intellegence and common sense - In both

In Football Knowledge - On point as always. Watched Studied Played Lived Coached and Consumed by Football. It is the only thing in this world that I have loved, been great at, understand like rainmain counting cards at a blackjack table.

Our line sucks - It is a fact you'll know soon enough. Does knowing this before you make me some kind of evil troll?? Because I can see it and you can't or don't want to believe it, does that make me a bad person or less of a Dolphins fan than you??

I should lie and pretend I don't see what I see?

    I'm sorry Fin D - I can't do that.

Now quit being a homer and grow a set of objective eye balls.

Your responsible for your own time, if it's being wasted, it is solely on you not them.

    Truth.
