Great quote, man. I'm going through some hard times. It meant a lot to read it . Feels like I was supposed to. Thanks- from the heart.

Ain't it funny what a single stranger can do.

    BDH -

"To me, there are three things we all should do every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And Number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy.

"If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special."

Looks like FinD and SICK playing their reindeer games. If you look closely you can spot a little boner.

Hmm, well I thought Dio would be a 10 sack player this yr ( at least), now have to wonder if the shoulder/chest problem means he's going to get a lot more work at Lb especially in coverages?

So far he's been mostly working at De in camp, could be what Philbin is alluding to about extra work. And it would make perfect sense as they are just trying to maximize his talent in view of the injury issue...hopefully am wrong and it's merely coachspeak.

Hope that's not the case. If he's not healthy enough to have to change his game plan, let him sit.

It's too late on this injury situation. You traded up on a gamble and as of this moment, you are the short stack on the table. Don't go on tilt. Let him heal.

Think this may be a little pressure from Ireland. Wouldn't take much, "Coach, if I go down, what are the odds the next guy doesn't want his own HC ?"

Nah, he can't injure it any worse, a torn labrum is just that, it has to be surgically repaired either way.

So just as well if he plays more Lb, if that is even his issue, for all we know he may just have had persistent weakness in the area so they were being cautious with him, still needs some work at Lb dropping into zones etc.

This I don't know much about. You mean it's either surgery or discomfort/irritation the rest of the way?

I don't choke him like that to hurt him. I choke him like that because it stops him from talking.

I think this is an important distinction.

No DW, his shoulder had been repaired in march, they rechecked it, and wanted to get more strength in it.

Yes, making sure his powerful healing factors were still enabling him to survive having the near-indestructible metal alloy, adamantium, bonded to his skeleton. :shifty:

Indeed. His speed is phenomenal as well. Loved that pic from the HOF game where he had the lineman off his feet and driving him back with one hand.

I've been trying to tell folks for a looong time, strength is a strength of his, he's not skinny in any sense of the word, those were folks who had no clue what they were looking at, just wait til he can make gains on that perfect body, watch how he rips offenders from his grip, he's got nasty in him bro..

I actually thought he was joking, made me laugh out loud. My Grandpa always told me the best way to win an argument with another driver that flipped you off or whatever, was to laugh out loud so they can see it. Pisses them off and you win.

So if that was a serious post, I just call them laughable and move on. All they want is to create friction and pick a fight they wouldn't have the nuts to do in person. Don't give him the satisfaction of even replying, and especially don't let him know he got to you. Laugh at him and move on.

The beautiful waist throws people off, those are not popcorn aaron Maybin muscles your seeing...what a freakazoid..there's this picture on google images of him squatting on a play that just blows me away, he's in a simple athletic position, the build he has, his ability to get very low despite the extra length, it just comes very natural to him to move like an athlete 5 inches shorter..

I've said this before, Julian Peterson my ***, the NFL has never seen a player with this kind of coordination relative to his size dimensions.

The only other player I've seen that's similar is still in college playing at UCLA.

I see you prefer your man-crushes without butter and salt, DJ. More a rib sauce and tabasco kind of guy, I take it?

As a Cincinnati Reds fan, I have the man-crush on Joey Votto, but if I had my druthers, what I really, really want, is my man-crush to be on Ryan Tannehill. Just not there yet, though. Maybe after this year!

Not nearly as fervent for the Reds as I am for the Dolphins anymore but still a fan.

barbeque sauce and hot sauce, two important keys in maintaining a flavorful healthy diet, gotta have salt, seasoning is the outmost importance to food..don't need butter on anything really.

    Agreed on Tannehill..

So much hate for a guy that has absolutely no decision in whether or not he's allowed to play. I'm sure none of this comes down to the fact that the coaching staff wants to be extra careful with their potential superstar instead of risking his career by stressing his shoulder too much this early just to satisfy the curiosity of rabid fans via meaningless preseason games. It's all Dion's fault.

I just mean the general "hate" throughout the forum (not just this thread) which includes those who feel it was a wasted pick, which is ridiculous, along with those who are being too impatient about wanting to see him in preseason, or even those comparing him to Jamar Taylor. We finally have a glut of talent along the line, enough so that we don't yet need our new prized stallion, and we can afford to wait until he is 100% ready. But impatience is seeping in big-time.

Reds have been my team since 1966. All the baseball strikes, mainly in the 90s, have dampened by enthusiasm for baseball though. Bart Giamatti as commissioner and his lifetime ban of #14 contributed to it too. The low light of my Reds fandom came in late 1976 when they foolishly, stupidly, idiotically, traded Doggie, (Tony Perez), my all time favorite Red, for Woody Fryman. I cannot recall who made that asinine move, Dick Wagner I think, but I hope he burns in hell for it. Wagner couldn't carry Bob Howsam's jock when it comes to being a GM.

Ok he is a physical freak but can he play football ?? Can he stay healthy ?? You people have this guy in the H.O.F. before he ever makes his first play. Can he play football ?? Because he didn't do squat in college.

First of all, who has him in the Hall of Fame already? Just because we're excited for what he brings to the table doesn't mean we think he's Canton bound.

Secondly, didn't do squat in college? LOL.

I like getting excited about an unexpected acquisition of the #3 overall pick with unlimited physical movement potential, hi- level work ethic, and hi- character, for very little compensation....I'm man enough to take the hit if he fails if that makes you feel better.

Did you think cam wake should of went back to Canada after his first preseason game?

The photo on here is how scouts fall in love. They check out athletes like you would a woman. Bubble butt is actual scouting lingo.

This is is what Ireland is gambling on. You see an upside for talent and you make decisions beyond torn labrums and swing for the fence trade-ups with upside wearing that physique.

We gotta see it pay off. I'd prefer JT career but i'll take a JK the freak career as well.

It doesn't matter C, he doesn't have a lot of stats, don't know how he made first team All PAC 10 two consecutive years in a row.

By the way, by me sarcastically defending the pick, it's clear that I know without a doubt that Dion Jordan is Canton-bound. There can be NO middle ground whatsoever on this. Being excited for a pick = christening him as the greatest football to ever grace the field.

Ok - Ok ... I'm trying to warm up to the guy. I swear to the Dolphin Gods (Dolfan Denny) I am... I hated the pick, I admit it but I'm really trying to like the guy. (I don't think the torn lab helped my mood on draft day either) This offense and Tannhehill deserved the LT..anyhow thats the past, the season is almost here.... The Cleveland Browns are up and it's game on Dion Jordan.

Perhaps a game day sack and a pretty and an original sack dance would help warm me up to the guy.
