whoa...whoa...whoa.. please don't harp on me because of observations I see are fact. these are things that have been going on since last year. not just the 1st stringers but the Offense as a whole.
well the thing about Garner is that he can play any position on the o line, that gets you on the team. And since our second / third team o linemen are pretty bad, that not only gets you on the team, it gets you paid.
OK. Since it's halftime, I will rephrase this so some will understand. Since last season, we have had a problem scoring in the rezone. (with me?) Up until this game (right now) we still have a problem scoring in the redzone. It doesn't matter what game it is, (pre season or the real thing) We (as a team) continue to NOT get TD's in the redzone. Does anyone agree? So the doom and gloom bs doesn't work with me. I will give praise when I see it and point out their failures also. That's what fans do, take it as you will.
OK. If you'll notice, I said it looked ugly so far, but that the play calling has been very vanilla...now to me, there's a negative AND a positive in there, hence my position on my team that I am a FAN of. I call it ugly when it is, but I also have faith they'll be doing things different in the RZ come season time...no matter how many times you say it, the pre-season is NOT a true indicator of the team's eminent success/failures in the regular season...keep believing it if you want, but don't try to convince me otherwise.
I think its pointless to try an evaluate this particular game in that regard for the following reasons: 1. Play calling is severely basic 2. Players in the game are trying to fill in the bottom of the 53 man roster If you want to evaluate our real progress of this team in the red zone, you do it with the starters in and with actual game planning. Last week would have been a better time for this discussion
