Will Yeatman. #72. Every time he plays left tackle, he looks decent to fairly good. He was IMO very good tonight. The coaches have had him working all over the line this season. right guard... left guard.. back to left tackle where he plays the best. I'm gonna be pissed if he gets the axe because IMO he's the best left tackle we have behind Jonathan Martin. Garner? Child please....

Another guy I want to make the team, if he's cut, I'll be upset... (George is getting upset!)... Pat Devlin. What's this carrying two quarterbacks bull ****? **** that. Devlin has something about him that I like. He's accurate. Has great touch. So he makes mistakes every once in a while. He's your third string quarterback! Young quarterbacks make mistakes.... I think there's something there to work with though. He can replace Moore next season maybe. I think he fits our offense better than Moore. Gets the ball out faster. Perfect for this offense.

Michael Egnew. You going to tell me his blocking hasn't improved from last season to this? That was the one thing everyone said he couldn't do consistently. Well guess what? He's putting guys on their asses. Do you want some Egnew with your pancakes? Yes!!

I think we also have something in Lee Robinson, I believe he had 2 fumble recoveries? although I fear he will be headed to the practice squad.

Who is the bubble guy that you are rooting for?

Hardly any of those backup linemen would have me upset to see them go. At least one of the starters, too. Yikes.

Yes the second team D seems to be able to recover fumbles better than the first team. Also, the Saints 2nd team had trouble holding on to the ball. You also have to give credit to Austin Spitler for forcing one fumble.

Lee Robinson for me. I hope he makes it through waivers and ends up on our practice squad. If he makes the 53 I would be happy, but shocked at the same time.

I think there are probably 3-6 that make the 53 on Saturday only to be replaced before the season starts.

AJ Francis. He didn't have as good of a game, and his primary competition had his best, but I'd much prefer Miami kept him.

  15. Tyms and Francis are the guys I want to stick. But I have no clue what you guys are seeing in Devlin. Against scrubs he is very average, against real defenses he would be terrible. Remember Cleo Lemon, the one who put up 10-12 TDs and no interceptions for about 3 preseasons with the chargers?? How did he work out vs 1s? We can find better than Devlin by accident. No reason we should waste a roster spot on him. If we lose our top two QBs we are screwed any way, so what is the point of putting Devlin there. It isnt like someone is going to snap him up if we drop him. He will be home sitting by the phone if we need him.

Egnew may have improved his blocking but he cant get separation or run a route....and he is supposed to be a receiving TE.

I will regret seeing a quality defensive lineman go for nothing. We have good depth at that position.Hopefully we can trade one .If not ,a couple will make other teams I believe.

I don't think there is much of a "bubble" for Yeatman. He is in. The five starters will be Martin, Incognito, Pouncey, Jerry, and Clabo. The two reserves who will be active each week will be Garner and Samuda. The two who will be inactive will be Yeatman and Thomas. For me the only remaining Oline roster question is who get signed to the practice squad? I think the two biggest options will be Adams or Brenner. For me the wildcard in the PS is if they sign Francis to the PS and he becomes the fifth Olineman for the scout team?

Are these five/seven/nine guys the best we could hope for? Of course not. I think they will be functional this year....or at least I hope so.

Pat Devlin should not make the team. You don't get the option of a "developmental" QB. As you stated, "he makes mistakes...hes your third string QB"...exactly. He should be cut. There isn't a chance in hell any other team signs him. So, we have the option of cutting him, telling him to stay close by and stay in shape in case our starter goes down. But you don't waste a roster spot, maybe for Lee Robinson or Egnew or someone else for a guy that won't play and wont be picked up by another team. Its not rational.

One thing they said he couldn't? He couldn't do any thing. This is his first feather in his cap. I'm impressed. If someone would teach him to get open, we can see if he can catch consistently.

Rooting for Bumphis. Saw a guy with intentions out there last night. McNutt was jogging on some plays. Some times you feel like a nut, some times you dont.

I won't cry if any of the backup OLs are cut.

I won't cry if either of the backup RBs are cut and they attempt to stash them on the practice squad.

For the first time pretty much ever, I saw what they see in Vaughn Martin. So I wouldn't cry if they cut A.J. Francis or Tracy Robertson to keep Vaughn.

Kelcie McCray had the best game I've seen him play in the preseason as well. He responded. I wouldn't cry if they cut Jordan Kovacs and tried to put him on the practice squad.

Honestly the toughest decision I see is at that WR spot where Brian Tyms, Chad Bumphis and Marvin McNutt have ALL put their foot forward very nicely. All three have responded to the competition.

I'm sorry man, but this is why people are getting annoyed the thread is about which bubble guys you think are going to stick and the only thing you added to the thread was saying you think someone sucked. Why not mention one of the bubble guys you do like and answer the question at least?

As for me I'd love to see Matthews and McNutt as our 4 and 5 WRs. I really like AJ Francis' potential and I think Lee Robinson has shown some flashes too. I really wanted Bumphis to work but he's kind of disappeared lately.

    10 more days!

Isn't it nice, for the first time in a long time, the starters are so set, the biggest questions remain at the lowest WR, RB & DL spots?

Ignore works well unless someone quotes the post. Hint, hint.

I was rooting for Tyms and you can see they like him but I think McNutt may have stolen the #5 with that late TD last night. Matthews is definitely #4 and looks like the only WR we have got that can actually break a tackle.

I want to root for Tyms too, but I just haven't really seen anything that merits a roster spot. He's got a great story and he has the measurables that you like, but really he's a Roberto Wallace clone IMO. I think McNutt has outplayed him....and I'm a sucker for awesome last names.

The WR cuts are definitely the toughest because we have some good ones there. I honestly can't remember a season where we've been this deep at wide receiver.

Agreed. I don't see how Tyms, Bumphis, McNutt and Matthews all make the team. Keenan Davis looked good at times too. The question is, do we find a way to keep 6 WR's? I think Matthews has the 4th spot. That leaves either 1 or 2 spots up for grabs. McNutt helped himself with the TD grab.

I agree. I also think that Devlin would still be available on the open market if the Dolphins cut him and decide to go with just two QB's. No one is going to trade for him and right now I don't see any other team picking him up to be their 3rd string QB. I would rather see the Dolphins keep a player who can contribute on ST's than a third QB who will stand on the sideline with a clipboard all season.

If Tannehill or Moore should get hurt and the Dolphins need to sign another QB. I have no doubt Devlin will still be at home waiting for a phone call from an NFL team.

We could definitely keep a sixth wr if we choose not to retain a fullback in Evan Rodriguez. Going with more three wide options (in practice too) with Clay and Egnew as guys that can lineup as a fullback if needed. I wouldn't be stunned if we actually kept seven wide receivers to start the season at least.
