How can we keep AJ Francis?

I'm not opposed to keeping A.J. Francis over Vaughn Martin.

I think the coaches might be.

I can't for the life of me figure out why Vaughn Martin was signed in the first place. He was bad in San Diego, why would he all of a sudden be worth millions????????????

 

They were looking for a security blanket in case Starks/Soliai went down.
No one thought Odrick would be tearing it up all of a sudden.

They needed someone that could replace what Odrick did at DE last year. I think Vaughn provided the most flexibility in terms of playing the 5-technique.

It's possible that the Patriots could be trying to put him on their own practice squad. He'd be allowed to choose, of course.
