Unlike most every team I saw yesterday, seemingly absent from anyone's jersey on our team was that recognizable "C" patch. We did have captains last year didn't we?

We had new captains every week, not sure if that has anything to do with it

We have the Leadership Council instead. Joe Philbin said he didn't believe in having team captains, so he switches it up every week, thus why no one has the 'C'. I think there was an interview in TC this year when he was asked about it.

I do remember captains changing each week for the games, but I thought we still had the normal offense, defense, and ST captains with patches. I guess I'm mis-remembering.

I nominate Solia, Starks and Wallace as captain Debbie Downers for the next game :d

Game captains will be chosen every week until the team reaches the playoffs.

How about new captains are chosen each week until one actually emerges as a leader. I like this approach. Right now we have "0" on field leaders and need one soon or it will not matter if we make post season because they will have nobody to look to to get them through it.

Disagree, Pouncey and Tannehill are definitely leaders on offense. Ellerbe appears to be a leader on Defense too.

    Yeah, that's just not true.

there are plenty of leaders on the field, including Tannehill, Hartline, Pouncey, Incognito, Wake & Ellerbe.

I disagree with that especially ellerbe and you may think I am nuts but I do not think Pouncey is a leader. They follow incognito more than him. You cannot say QB is leader by default either. I have not seen anything yet to say otherwise except he is making much better decisions throwing the ball. But we may agree to disagree.

I also think Joe is going to make it hard for some of these players to step up and become vocal leaders after the whole leadership council thing. As soon as they realize there is a difference between leading on the field and challenging the coaches decisions, someone will emerge.....

I hope its Tannehill and Ellerbe. I also see grimes stepping into a role too if they get him extended. I would also like to see Pouncey step up and really take charge too.

New captains every week, this reminds me of my kids' soccer teams.

Incognito is the only one on there who has actually shown leadership which is sad. Do not confuse leading with playing well or expectations of becoming a leader.

Wake has shown he just wants to play. He will always be the best player on defense but never a leader.

Then, WADR, you have a weird proprietary definition of leader. Those guys have all been voted to the Leadership Council. They are the players the others look up to and follow.

Guess you didn't see Tanny and pouncey chewing Matthews *** and preventing him from getting a penalty when we were about to kick a game icing field goal? I read 17's lips and he screamed get the f off (the field). I would say that's text book on the field awareness and leadership no?
