The short to middle stuff, that blood zone should be renamed Mantis territory, because with his ability and length, good luck.
That's funny. It's hard to think after watching the Dolphins game with Cleveland and then hearing how the Colts/Raiders game went how many people would envision anything but a close game in this one. Funny things can always happen, of course, like in the HoF Game -- Lamar Miller can fumble inside the 10 on our first play, a throw can go off a WRs hands for a pick six and all of a sudden you're down big and have to climb uphill the rest of the game. But all things being equal, these two teams seem pretty close on the spectrum of NFL teams and their talent. It's probably going to be a fourth quarter game and may hinge on a key play or turnover... like a lot of NFL games do.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 9m Colts RB Vick Ballard is out for season after injuring knee during practice Thursday (@MikeWellsNFL contributed to report). WOW.
Vick Ballard injured in practice and out for the season. Big loss for the Colts. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter8m Colts RB Vick Ballard is out for season after injuring knee during practice Thursday (@MikeWellsNFL contributed to report).
Maaaan it is the exact opposite here, most of the forum likes to set expectations as low as possible, in order to avoid disappointment I guess..
We will win this game for one reason as we've made the hugest adjustment compared to that game. No F'n Sean Smith. Seriously go back and check that highlight reel. Just highlight after highlight of #24 being on the wrong side of things. He single handily blew that game last year.
I couldn't count a play in the NFL.com highlights of that game that Smith wasn't blowing it ;p And he was in ALL of em ;p Plus the Colts have just as poor an OL and now Ballard is out...Bradshaw last I heard isn't 100% and they are having trouble with Allen and their LB's.
So the Vegas lines have us a 1 to 3 point dog. Basically another pickum...43.5 o/u...I'll take the over all day long.
Final injury report...ours is fairly big. http://espn.go.com/blog/miami-dolph...lts-final-injury-report?ex_cid=espnapi_public
damn, I was hoping W Davis was going to see his first real action. I'm a little worried about Ellerbe and Gibson too. Not much depth behind those two players.
Streaks... Miami broke a losing streak to the Browns last week, at an away game. Miami has lost 4 straight to the Colts, 2 home, 2 away...streak-breaking-streak time fellas...get it done!
I stated after that game I wouldn't resign him, I had seen enough and wanted to move on, furious and fed up with his fake *** swagger.
I just watched it. It was almost like every highlight in that game was against Sean Smith. That run by Bush was freaking sick.
NFL Playbook is out http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-playbook/0ap2000000243789/Playbook-Dolphins-vs-Colts i think the reasoning behind shaun o hara is pretty stupid for the colts win....yeah we couldn´t run the ball against cleveland....wtf does this have to do with the colts this week ? is he also still pissed we didn´t sign him 2 years ago ?
He showed film of how bad our run-blocking execution/assignment was (Martin), and how Tannehill made some questionable decisions at the LOS. None of that has to do with Cleveland. And what, should he just throw out the fact that we had 23 carries for 20 yards because we played the mighty Browns? Those numbers say "they can't run the ball". It's not like we just averaged 2yds/per; it was a pathetic showing on the ground. O'Hara said we aren't balanced enough to beat them, and coming off last week, that's a fair thing to say. Not every media member is out to get the Phins. Personally, I do think we should beat the Colts by at least 10. Our defense should be able to beat any offense that is as one-dimensional as the Colts. They tried running the ball more against Oakland, but they just don't have the beef up front to do it that well, especially against our front 7. And I'd hate to go 0-2 against Luck to start his and Tanny's career. That would be upsetting.
if you go by this, than we also face the 31st worst rushing defense in the league, so i still think to bring this up makes not much sense, also they showed one play that RT didn't audible, last year it was mentioned often how he audibled us into better plays, so thats also a non issue for me
O Hara has a good point. I noticed that as well. I'm hoping that Tannehill can check out of run plays when there are 8 defenders in the box this week. Cleveland brought a safety down a lot pre-snap when they felt the Dolphins were in obvious run formation. Let's hope so !
It's difficult to know how bad the colts were two seasons ago considering you had a coverup going on from up top to secure the # 1 spot.. If they were truly the worst team in the league from a talent standpoint, it's hard for me to believe the best Qb prospect ever and now best in the league, flipped this team so quickly..however, this dude is everything you imagined he would become and what a difference 1 player at that position can do, your seeing it happen.. We have the better team, we have the dominant defense, we have the player that noone else has who can to track and contain single-handedly, lets do this man.. Dion Jordan is the X factor to this game, this should be the first game that shows why we moved up to the #3 pick to select this unique player.
That is a very good football player right there, wanted to draft him, if he's out, than so be it, our #1 tight end is out, lets get it on.
This is the game which will show if the Dolphins have improved over last season or not. In 2012, the Dolphins went into Indy and lost a close game to these Colts. A game many on here felt the Dolphins should have won. The feeling by many on here is that the Dolphins are a much improved team, while the Colts didn't do much in the draft or free agency to upgrade their team. Tannehill has a better receiving corp than he had last year and the front seven of the defense is certainly more of a threat to Luck than it was last year. The secondary for the Dolphins is stronger on one side than last year because of the addition of Grimes. Patterson played well last week before his groin injury and it is a question right now if he will play against the Colts and if he does, how effective he will be because of the groin injury. Otherwise, the secondary players for the game today will be made up of the same players who were toasted by Luck in 2012. Hopefully this unit will be more productive in this game than they were in the game against the Colts in 2012. The huge question mark again is how well the OL will protect Tannehill and open holes in the running game. If they play like they did last week, the Dolphins will have no chance of winning the game today because Luck is a far better QB than Weedon. If on the other hand the OL can protect Tannehill and create openings for the RB's, the Dolphins have a good chance of winning the game today. The game today is a great barometer of how far this team has come since these two teams played last year. Win today and the Dolphins will show that they are a legitimate playoff threat this season. A loss though will show that the Dolphins still have a way to go to get to that next level. Last week was a must win against an inferior opponent. This week is a game which will show if this is a better team than last year or not.
Looks like were on a good pace for a young team...make sure your in your seats for Intros J-dub..I wanna see your retired *** leading the charge.
