Joe Philbin should be livid right now. What just happened on that play, to be called a fumble, is going to be deemed an officiating error by the NFL this week. It has to be. That play ENDED by the whistle, when the ball hit the ground, the "recovering" player, was never downed either. Unbelievable.
Looks like today I may get to practice emotionally letting go of outcomes. How to have a good day, regardless of whether the Phins win or lose. Still think we win.
It was. The problem is the refs blew the whistle before anyone recovered, and everyone STOPPED PLAYING. They cant rule that a recovery.
Hopefully the catch is overturned, but Jeez, how about some pass rush? Just horrible game planning, horrible play on defense today.
WTF is up wiht the defense line today? DLine has completely sucked across the board. LBers are playing tenative, and DBs are getting hung out to dry.
Everybody expected the Colts to do MUCH better than Cleveland's O did...I did at least...Weeden missed a lot of opportunities Luck wouldn't. If we don't adjust soon, gonna be a long day.
I thought Ireland replaced the LB's from last year because they couldn't cover the TE and they were slow. Honestly I don't see any improvement in the LB play this year from last year.
It was a good first half early but you could see/sense the dolphins slowly falling back into their norm. I want to be optimistic but history tells me not to be
Again... they cannot rush with abandon because they must respect Luck;s escapability. That slight difference is enough for them to have to hang back a touch as they rush, mindful of their lanes. Meaning they cannot sell out 110% to get to him.
The play was blown dead. The player who "recovered" was never downed. It's over right then and there. Plus, the replay clearly shows its an incomplete pass... Just ridiculous. even more ridiculous that it just gets swept under the rug by this CBS team.
There was no black marker thrown. They changed did everything for an incomplete pass but changed ruling to fumble to save there asses.
Right, but it DOESNT MATTER. Because THE REF BLEW THE WHISTLE. Haven't you heard of an inadvertent whistle stopping a play. I'm not trying to be a jerk but what happened shouldnt have based on....the rules.
