http://www.miamidolphins.com/multimedia/videos/channel/ It seems like to and from the game. Or at least that's what it sounded like in the second or third question of this presser.
Don't most NFL players seem to arrive at games in suits and show up to pressers afterward dressed like that? I know that its not 100%, but when they show guys walking into the stadium on Sunday morning, it seems most are dressed well.
This isn't anything new. My first regular season game ever was Miami at Baltimore back in 97 or 98. We drove by Memorial Stadium the day before the game and caught the Dolphins in their walk through. Jimmy Johnson had every player dressed in a suit and tie. The only exception was Dan Marino. He had on jeans and a suede jacket. We asked "why JJ didn't make him dress like everyone else." He gave a "do I look like I'm everybody else?" grin and signed some autographs.
Yeah, keep grinning Dan. Maybe a different mindset would have helped bond closer to the team instead of being above them. It still bothers me that Dan didn't win a Superbowl, and I've run out of people to blame, so maybe it was Dan's attitude that didn't inspire his teammates to rise to their highest potential. Guys like Michael Jordan, Montana, and other guys who won the big game are always heralded as leaders who had everyone around them raising their game. Hell, if you could put Tim Tebow's leadership in Dan Marino's body and skill set you'd have the best football player to ever walk the earth.
Well Dave Wannstedt made all the players except Jason (Twinkle Toes Taylor ) dress in overalls and carry a paint brush and paint can . kidding didn't Sam Madison say Cam Cameron was going to make the team wear orange jail uniforms after a loss ? I know I would make the team wear the chain gang uniforms if they played lousy and I would buy tuxedos and charge it all on President Obama's credit card .
Yep its not the fact that Marino never had a defense or a running game, it was his ego. Oh and Tebow most definitely has a pretty big ego too, its why he cant see that he isn't an NFL QB.
That's some capital B Bull**** right there. I'm sure there were plenty of things Marino could have done better. Whether they would have equaled a Championship is something else. And I'm positive that Jordan and Montana got plenty of preferential treatment in their heydays. Pippen and Rice didn't play better because they wore the same clothes as Jordan and Montana. And Marino made every offensive player around him better. To pretend otherwise is ridiculous. Tebow? GTFO.
Surprised Ross hasn't recruited a famous designer to make an official Dolphin logo'd suit for the team to wear on such occasions. Which they could then sell of course. Their business arm needs to pick it up, I can't think all this stuff up for them.
