now, before someone else beats you to it b/c you tried to out-think yourself. He shouldn't be a FA as it is, so feel lucky that he is and swoop him up. Let me ask you this, if you had Julio Jones in your lineup and he got injured and was projected to miss the next 6 weeks, would you drop him? Your answer to this is the answer to your question. Wonder how many GMs in our ThePhins league asked themselves your question, eagerly thinking they could wait a few weeks and beat everyone to the punch, only to have me step in and do it first.
so will you be dropping your current starting TE once Gronk is back? Harvin said he hopes to be back by week 7.
Sup jerk. You beat me to Harvin by minutes. I answered a phone call instead of ignoring mom and harvin was gone. I was steamed. "Mom, get the damned meatloaf!"
If it makes you feel any better I originally was going to wait another week or so to add him, but in that same train of thought I decided- if I'm gonna do it eventually then I might as well do it right now.
Greg Olsen, not likely. I can either work a trade, play one in the flex(if gronk can put up monster numbers Ill do this), play the weekly matchups, who knows.
PPR league. Would you trade David Wilson RB, and Hakeem Nicks WR for Maurice Jones Drew RB, and Torrey Smith?
Hell bleepin no. CJ2k and Colston > White and Tate even if White was his healthy productive self. White should be acquired as a buy low target now not at normal (or in this case above normal) cost I like the Nicks side. I suspect Wilson will get going later in the year. Its going to take him some time to be the lead dog but he will get every crack. The NYG will also be passing a lot until Wilson gets going. MJD certainly has the higher upside but so far the Jags OL hasnt blocked well enough and the QB sucks meaning teams are stacking the LOS. Now if the Jags were smart and were going to trade him to a RB needy team like ohhhhh maybe the Saints....yeah.
It's a loss on your part IMO, plus it's risky b/c Roddy is dinged up and Tate might see less action as the end of season nears and playoff are on the line. Is your trade partner a Hooters waitress?... cause that's about the only way I could see rationalizing it.
I am torn. I guess I will stand pat with Wilson/Nicks..for now. I will play both this weekend. Just a hunch. Got injury to Steven Jackson...so...so far...I got this as a starting lineup: (PPR) Brees QB Wilson RB Snelling RB/WR AJ Green WR Nicks WR Witten WR Titans D/ST Greg the Leg K Bench: Emanuel Sanders WR Daryl Richardson RB Dolphins D/ST Malcom Floyd WR Charles Clay TE Schaub QB Any moves you guys would make? For whatever reason..I WANT to play the Dolphins D/ST this weekend, and replace Snelling.
Drop Ben Tate for McGahee? I've got L. Miller, R. Bush and J. Charles. A little worried about Bush's injury because he didn't practice today.
Start Richardson over Snelling? Especially in a ppr. Id probably add mcgahee and try and trade tate with a WR for a wr upgrade....
2-0 with both wins over last years champion and second place guy. Best thing about my team is that both weeks i haven't had a guy explode with a career game, I've just had a consistent team all putting up good #s, with gronk on my bench. Still seeking some Lineup advice for my WR2. Either Hakeem Nicks against a weak carolina secondary, tavon vs. Cowboys who have been shredded in the slot, or ty hilton vs san fran who suck against the slot. I'm leaving torrey on the bench this week. Hakeem or Tavon?
Some major decisions this week for my biggest pay league team (which is 3-0 and needs to be 4-0 ): QB: Newton is on a bye so my choices are: Palmer vs TB/Glennon vs Zona, EJ Manual vs Balt, Geno vs Tennessee/Locker vs NYJ. Im leaning Palmer.... RB is set with AP and Gore WR: Andre Johnson if he plays is an automatic play vs anyone even the leagues best secondary and DeSean Jackson could have a nice game if it goes into a shootout which all Denver games inevitably do when the other team is down a score or 2. WR3 is the issue...choices that I have rostered are listed...Im open to ideas though: Golden Tate vs Houston Jennings vs Pitt (bad team, good d) Andre Roberts vs Tampa Flex: Bradshaw vs Jax or McGahee vs Cincy or a WR. HELP!!!!!
Roberts & Bradshaw might be my 2 choices. I'm guessing Andre could see more targets if Revis is on Fitz. Not sure if there's a need for Indy to rush Trent into the offense this week vs a terrible team so Bradshaw could have another nice week.
Roberts was my choice initially at WR3 but Im 2nd guessing probably because hes a wr3 on that Cards team coming off a 1 catch week vs the freakin saints d.
possibly all the more reason why he might have a nice week vs Tampa. Regression to the mean. He hasn't had a TD yet so the odds are increasing that this week sees his first one, no?
Opponent had played everyone and was up by a nice margin with Peterson and Cameron leading the way, while I had Ryan and Sturgis left. I thought I had lost for sure but Ryan put up a good game for me and now it's all down to Sturgis; I need 4.5 points to take the lead. This past week I had dropped Zuerlein and he put up 4 points which means I would have lost by 0.4 if I had held onto him and there aren't any stat corrections. I could still lose but I think I get at least 5 from Sturgis to head to 4-0. Side note, I threw this logo together real quickly for my team which is named Dolphinado. Someone took that logo and made this uniform which I thought was neat.
Well I hope Sturgis has a great game. I have him vs Brees tonight up 26. If Sturgis does nothing I probably lose by 1-5 points. So the way I figure it 5 is probably the magic number unless Brees goes off for 400/5 TD in which case im screwed.
Thank god Gonzalez went off last night. My RBs and WRs (still have Colston) scored a whooping 27 points between 5 players. Luckily I had Gonzo score 37, the Chiefs D score 19, and Akers 18.
I was offered MJD Fitz Martellus Bennett For: Le'Veon Bell Jordan Cameron I don't think I want to do the trade, but i've always liked MJD and I cant believe he's having such a bad year. I keep thinking he's going to break out. I desprately want to upgrade my QB Eli has fallen off a cliff. The only QB on the other teams roster is Stafford but im not sure if he would part ways with him. PPR League Current Lineup: Eli AP Forte Miller Demaryius Thomas Bowe Cameron Hilton bench: Bell Givens Daniel Thomas Starks
I have MJD and know all about his struggles. I'm like you though and think he has better days ahead but doesn't matter how good he is if the Jags are going get behind thirty points every game. Fitz and Bennett have been a little inconsistent and think that will continue, while I think Cameron is for real. He may come down to Earth some but barring injury I don't see how he doesn't finish top 5 for TE. Many TEs have been up and down (hi Gonzalez) so having a steady top TE means you should win that position most weeks. If you believe in MJD then maybe try just Bell for MJD. At this point he might be fed up with MJD and like the potential for Bell going forward. I think though that I'd try to bring Stafford into the trade or find a way to upgrade QB. heh Yeah, I thought I was done for but 421 yards and 2 TD from Ryan really helped put me in a good position for tonight, if not for their late push in that game I would be in trouble. Of course the important thing is Miami winning the game but if Sturgis could put up some points too that would be great. I started Cincy's D over KC's...
after knowing Cassell would be playing and hearing Jennings was happy about it, I would've gone with Jennings too. Wasn't Bradshaw IA? Hey Matt, thanks for starting Pat Willis. His absence might be the difference this week.
It's not bad, but I wouldn't do it w/o first looking for a more favorable way to upgrade WR that doesn't involve robbing Peter to pay Paul (I.E. trading a top 5 scorer, Cameron). Bell has some upside moving forward so I'd package him with Bowe for a better receiver.
Youre killing me. Willis absence didnt mean squat and wasnt announced til just before GT. Was at work so I couldnt do anything.
youre correct to be looking QB. RG3 or *gasp* romo or cutler could be attainable targets without breaking the bank. And im sure someone drafted rivers as a backup. Hes playing great ball now. Could be a good time to grab him.
