Eh, we got this one EmDog, think Ryan w/o a running game is a pedestrian Qb.

This team has been playing above expectations steadily. Hasn't always been pretty, hasn't been perfect, but has been good enough to get it done. I expect the same this week, 3-0 would be such a joy to see, just take a look at some KC boards...that's fun stuff. 90% of predictors and experts, in the pre-season, had us at best 1-2 after these three games...I love it when they prove 'em wrong.

atlanta is not commited to the run, if there is a reason miami wins that game, its not because atlanta has no running game, they have 30 rushing attempts in 2 games, 16 in the last game where they led 24-3 at halftime....they just don't give a damn about running the football and still they are one play away from 2-0

so is that the 3rd time you picked miami's opponent to win ? the reasoning behind is bull****...what about matt ryan on the road, what about our home opener....what about our corners instead of theirs....what about their oline against our defense, what about roddy white's bum ankle...what about gonzales looking slow out there...what about the heart and soul of their defense in spoon missing the game...what about the emergence of charles clay...what about 2 rookie corners starting a game on the road against a team who will play the first time at home....

    Another good one Em.

Sounds like our Starting DT Paul Soliai won't play, TE Keller out for the season was looking for a big season from him, CB's banged up and now Mike Wallace questionable. Not to healthy either going to be a rough game.

I can't be the only one thinking that if Atlanta run that blitz package with any frequency that Hartline will have a field day against it.

Atlanta are a [very] good team, but I think we're meeting them at the right time and they're there for the taking.

Em, please keep picking against us. It is working perfectly so far. My guess is you made this before you knew who the RT and LT were. I will be surprised if Matty Ice finishes the game.

Will the the Dolphins be able to stop Gonzalez in my opinion will be the key to slowing down the Falcons.

Massive respect for the effort. Thanks.

Hey Em. Good stuff. Some thoughts:

    1) Regarding your plan for ATL to blitz our 21 personnel package on 2nd and medium downs. We only run 21 personnel (which is what you have us in) on 20% of our 2nd down snaps. There's a good chance the Falcons face 11 personnel instead, which we run on 40% of our 2nd down snaps, or 12 personnel which is another 20% of second down snaps .

Against 11 personnel, with that extra slot receiver, he is a blitz beater if you try to bring that much heat. Our 12 package features TEs where one (Clay, usually) is flexed out and used as a receiver, again making this a bad look for you to blitz the house against.

You'll need a different 2nd and medium strategy to win that way, I think.

    2) Totally agree with you that Wheeler and Ellerbe are susceptible to some coverage vulnerability on crossers. Especially as they are new teammates, in a new system.

    3) Screen passes concern me, as we have not tackled well on a few occasions when RBs get the ball in the passing game, or on screens/flares.

    4) You overlook that Matt Ryan has terrible stats when he is pressured. Sepcifically, when he is pressured from the LT spot. PFF has him at a -12.7 rating under those circumstances. With Sam Baker out for the Falcons at LT, they are relying on a second year player to step and handle the Dolphins blitzes, Vernon Olivier, and more importantly, Dion Jordan our #1 pick. Between Wake and jordan on the outside, Wheeler and Ellerbe's ability to blitz, Coyle's propensity to bring a safety or slot cb on blitzes, AND Starks and Odrick's amazing quickness at shooting gaps to pressure passers from the interior, not to mention our rotations player, Shelby having two strip sacks in two weeks, Matt Ryan is more likely to be the 'bad' Matt under pressure than the 'good' Matt with a clean pocket. A loud crowd, excited for a home opener for a 2-0 team is not going to help the Falcons line, especially Baker's backup (whose name eludes me right now), communicate properly. That leads to worse pass protection. Falcons only hope is to get up by a bunch early so they can run the ball a lot in the second half.

    6) How do you think the Falcons D, without Biermann or Witherspoon, handle Lamar Miller's explosiveness and speed to the outside?

    7) If you press Hartline, he will burn you. Hard to jam. Very risky. And Tannehill excels at hitting Hartline along that sideline once he's past a corner.

So, good video. With our late announcement of some secondary injuries and other dinged up guys, this matchup could go either way. home field advantage wins us this one.

Whoever we have in the slot will kill their blitz. And at least once Hart or Wallace will slip the jam and be running free down the deep sideline.

Risky strategy to press these Miami WRs.

You are 0 for 3. You suck. We keep winning. I do not give 2 ****s about your production. We are undefeated and you suck.

Pretty rude of you. He goes out of his way to do this stuff. Its well thought out.

I'm embarassed a member of this board would say that and can only hope its the beer talking (but even then).

Em, we appreciate the work. But you need to realise the Dolphins are better than you give them credit for.
