Even though a lot of you missed the opening kickoff, it was nice to see a good crowd and finally the team gave you a win. Watching on tv after the kickoff, the place was only half full, but it quickly filled up. Still a lot of empty seats, but it was still awesome to see a pretty full stadium. Good job local's!!!
AGREED!!! The Miami Locals showed up in NUMBERS!!! Now imagine.. if we beat the Saints how many people will cram into that stadium when we come home at 4-0 vs the Ravens????
I was going crazy! If anyone was around sec 138 and saw a guy running up and down the stairs high fiving fans and standing on his seat getting everyone up... that was me! **** YA BABY!!!!
It was mentioned specifically on the telecast how much louder it was in the stadium than in previous years.
DolfansNYC was packed as was Dolphins Stadium! The Ravens and Bills games will be insane. Sounded like the Orange Bowl (Well, from what I've seen on YouTube and heard from people since the OB was before my time). 70,660 official attendance. Thats in seats, not paid, as we know from last year's 50,000 games of people in seats, even though there were no blackouts because Ross bought all the extra tickets. Good job Miami, especially since most of those tickets must have been sold before last weeks win. Fans have taken in the hype, hopefully the team can keep it going. Our defense lost some big guns today though. Need to get healthy.
Swear to god, after the kickoff and the offense and defenses came on, place was only half full. It quickly filled though.
In typical south Florida fashion... it was a little empty during that first Falcon drive. However... it filled up after that and got pretty intense. I made sure sections 135/138 were getting rowdy!!!!
I was thinking about my boy DJ. Totally lost my voice today. . . . That energy in sunlife today was unreal.
Well I lost my voice losing my head and screaming. I even felt light headed at times, but it was worth it!
Sure wish I could have been there, this exciting win and being 3-0 should help ticket sales for the next few games if not the remaining 7. If we keep winning, watch out! Could get real fun in that stadium. Makes me wonder if they ever get the stadium improvements done, could the roof and moving seats closer to the field make the crowd louder? Would sure be nice!
I for one can say your welcome... It was loud when it needed to be at crucial times... But we were making noise through out the game when we were on D... It was a great feeling... and great to see...
I was at the game great crowd, there were small pockets of cousin ****ers, I mean Atlanta fans but not a lot. It was also the loudest Fins game I've been too. Bulll****. It was pouring before the game and the gates were over crowded. That's why it took a while for the stadium to fill up. Add to the fact that people are pissing and getting something to eat.
I have no voice left but the place was rocking. And yes I was one of those who missed the first 9 minutes of the first.
It was an amazing atmosphere, especially at the end. I didn't get soaked because I was in the 200s and had the 300s as a roof
A lot of the crowd went into the aisles prior to the game because it was raining. I guess they are made of sugar and figured they would melt. I was at the game and the group I was with just sat in our seats during the rain and waited for the game to start. Fifteen minutes before the game started, the stands were so empty, I doubt if there were 5,000 in their seats. Once the game started, the fans finally started to fill the stadium. Since there was no thunder or lighting in the area, I have no idea why the fans in South Florida are so scared to get a little wet prior to kickoff.
Best thing about the rain, wet cheerleaders....hehe Not sure they were out on the field when it was raining?
Poured from 3 to 3:40ish. Couldn't pack my stuff away when I wanted to. Plus the gates were overcrowded.
By a broadcasting tandem that has never been to the stadium during a Dolphins game before. What you heard was someone who buys into the "Miami fans are apathetic" meme being surprised that people actually showed up, not an actual informed comparison of previous attendance and today's attendance.
Same for me actually, but it was the trek from the tailgate to the seats that got us soaked... jeeeeeez my throat hurts. . that last drive... amazing
I was thinking the same thought. It was on Fox, they only do two Dolphins games a year, at the most. When's the last time Tim Ryan and the wig guy worked a game in Miami?
FOX shows the Dolphins only when an NFC team is on the road in Miami. And yes, this particular broadcast team has not only never done a Dolphins game, but they've only done games together for about two seasons, if memory serves. They're FOX's #5 team.
Yea, I know how the tv rights work, I was just surprised how they could comment on a subject they don't know about.
Nice job guys!! Best crowed noise on TV I've heard at a Dolphin game in some time. I'm certain it helped the D in those critical red zone stops!! Way to go! Can't wait to join you for the Charger game!!
Do they still have that "Deep End" thing behind the goal post? Didn't notice, but it fit well. Also, it seems they are only using the old fight song now? They played it even when we scored while losing, they had switched to only playing it after scores when we were winning. I also liked the two new sound effects they use...that boat horn thing and the Jaws theme. Even though its associated with Sharks...we all know Dolphins have been known to kick a Sharks @$$ if need be anyway.
