Your Miami Dolphins have been part of some magical Monday night games. Before Thurs night and Sunday night games, Monday night was prime time. Monday nights in the fall became synonymous with one thing.. FOOTBALL. I think everyone is as happy as I am to be 3 and 0 heading into this huge match up with the Saints. Most seem to realize we are going to need at huge effort across the board to get to 4. So, let's not forget the time we all put in here.. Day after day... sharing a common love that is our football team. Enjoy the trip.. For the first time in a long time.. We all know where we are headed. This thread is to celebrate some Monday Night Miami Magic.. And create some high powered mojo to throw at Dem Saints.

My favorite Monday night memory from a game I actually attended was the game against the Broncos in 1998 where Marino outdueled an Superbowl-bound Elway.

We were. The Pats ended up going 14-2 that year. We went 4-12.

I remember watching that game on a tiny black and white TV in my room.. Way past bedtime but I kept sneaking up to it and turning it on..

As for the crowd... Wow... No comparison to today. None.

Speaking of the Broncos, the game we played them in mile high stadium with Ricky Williams was on of my favorites. I can't remember if that was a Monday or Sunday night.

If that was the one where Chris Chambers got knocked out, it was a Sunday night.

Sunday night.. That game was great but it brought on the temporary Ray Lucas era, which killed all our momentum that year. Fiedler was actually doing well up until the point where he broke his finger.

Nah, for me it goes back to 1981 (I think), Monday night against the Jaws led Iggles... That OB was rockin' so hard they had to stop the game multiple times. We even got penalized for the crowd noise. Big Don was out there flappin' his arms to quiet things down and it just got louder and louder...that was a great game...

Man that Orange Bowl was loud... I wish they had approved the Stadium vote, because the plans called for bringing in the stands. Would have helped with the crowd noise.

  16. The 85 bears game is still my all time favorite Monday nighter. That was a magic night.

I was at that game in 85. Whole family is Bears fans... I was still young, but that night solidified me as a Dolphin fan first and Bears fan Second! That stadium literally shook from the fan noise! It was awesome!

Could they really throw a flag for a home team being too loud? That seems crazy

My earliest memory of Monday Night Football -

Miami opened up a 27-0 lead in the first half with the aid of two Dick Anderson interception returns for touchdowns. Terry Bradshaw, who didn't start because of a shoulder separation suffered in October, replaced starter Joe Gilliam, and brought the Steelers back with two touchdown passes. Bob Griese gave up a safety in the closing minutes to cut the Miami lead to 30-26, but the Steelers couldn't complete their comeback. In addition to his two TDs tying an NFL record, Anderson intercepted four passes on the night, tying an NFL record.

Watching that Monday night game against the undefeated Bears:

    The crowd. Wow.

Those beautiful cursive Dolphin end zones.

Marino. Does anyone here think the Marino from that era would have any problem whatsoever throwing for over 6,000 yards in the NFL of this ear? I don't.

At Houston, 1978. Earl Campbell, my god he was awesome!

Another great outcome, Kansas City at Miami in 1994.

Watching those old films it makes me chuckle at how long they seem to spend in the huddle.

Although I hated the outcome, the Monday night game against the Jets in 2000 (Monday Night Miracle) was one heck of a game.

I was there - we left the stadium with around 5 minutes to go, Dolphins down sigificantly. I didn't listen to the end of the game on the radio on the way home or the post game show. Imagine my surprise when I saw online the next morning that the Dolphins won the game. I thought that it was a typo, couldn't believe it.

I think i remember that, was that not the long field goal duel at the end? I seem to recall 50 yarders going back and forth
