I think #5 is right where they should be. I'm not going to lie, i check all the rankings each week. Means squat, but fun to follow. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nfl/news/20130925/nfl-power-rankings-week-3-denver-broncos/?sct=nfl_t11_a2 Miami Dolphins (3-0) The Dolphins will extend their NFL record for most Monday Night Football appearances with a Week 4 battle of unbeatens in New Orleans. I think all the AFC East teams stand a reasonable shot at losing: Jets at Titans, Tennessee favored (-3.5) Baltimore at Buffalo, Buffalo getting points (+3.5) New England at Atlanta, Falcons favored (-2) Miami at New Orleans, Saints favored (-6.5) While we're the team with the most uphill match-up, the Dolphins have the benefit of all the other games already having been played when they suit up Monday night. Hopefully, Monday morning, we'll have gained a half game on everyone in our division!
None of our power ranking blurbs ever actually say anything insightful because none of the people who write them ever actually watch our games. Its always some useless statistic that has nothing to do with how we've played so far, or why we're 3-0. Or it just states how surprising it is that we're undefeated.
I truly despise this sort of thing. This is not ncaa minor league football, rankings mean jackola and it annoys me to no end that these writers are so uncreative they have to reach for filler crap like this. /end rant
It is nice to see that the Dolphins are rated so highly by SI. Of course you have to wonder how seriously to take SI when it was this same publication which gave credit to Henne for leading the final drive against the Falcons this past Sunday. It makes one wonder if the people at SI even know that Tannehill is now the Dolphins QB.
