Just a little look at who the Saints have actually played this season.
    Hope my work makes sense.

    Falcons @ Saints W 23-17

    Falcons games
    Fal 17 @ NO 23
    Rams 24 @ Falcons 31
    Fal 23 @ Dolph 27
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Saints @ Buccaneers W 16-14

    Bucs games
    Bucs 17 @ Jets 18
    Saints 16 @ Bucs 14
    Bucs 3 @ Pats 23
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Cardinals @ Saints W 31-7

    Cards games
    ARI 24 @ STL 27
    DET 21 @ ARI 25
    ARI 7 @ NO 31

First two games where very close and fairly low scoring. They are playing good enough to win but do look beatable.

Checked out a poll on Saints site.

Which player on the Dolphins defense poses the biggest threat for the Saints offense.

    Cameron Wake @ 46%
    Dion Jordan @ 31%
    Brent Grimes @ 18%
    Dannell Ellerby @ 5%

Looks like they expect Wake to be active.

    F#@k Nawlins.

It's not the Saints that worry me it's the injury report.

I don't doubt that the dolphins are battling injuries but you guys act like we are healthy. Since training camp we have lost 6 starters on our defense..............Kenyon Coleman, Victor Butler, Will Smith, Jon Vilma, Broderick Bunkley, and Roman Harper. We also have lost Patrick Robinson (our nickle corner) for the year. Our all pro guard Jahri Evans hasn't been healthy all year so please guys................enough about injuries.

Here's to an injury free game this Monday.

Looking at that it makes me realize a few things:

    1) their wins came against teams that are a little weak

    2) the Falcons are a weaker team than people think and a less impressive win for us than I thought

    3) we have a chance in this game

Of course we have a chance... as GM pointed out, the only thing tempering enthusiasm is the injury report. Sucks to have the injuries to Wake, Soliai, Patterson, Clemmons, and the rooks.

Apart from that Sims blocking gaff, we have held each of the past 3 teams to a FG in the second half of each game. The key will be surviving the 2nd qtr and finishing strong in the 3rd and 4th. If we can keep it close, we have a good shot at the upset.

That's exactly what I'm seeing if our defense was healthy this game could be a good one to make some money on.

Everyone has injuries. I'd like to have Victor Butler, Will Smith, Jon Vilma, Broderick Bunkley, Roman Harper, Patrick Robinson, and Lance Moore but it's not going to happen.

Don't forget Kenyon Coleman who Rob Ryan called one of our best run defenders. We are literally without 6 defensive starters and our nickle corner.

The saints first two wins came against division opponents which are always hard regardless of records. Also as much as I love Drew Brees he struggles in wind and that is what we had in TB. TB scored on a pick six and their other TD drive was less than 40 yards because of a turnover. We dominated that game and still barely won.

Our offense has been a little slow to come around this year but they are picking it up. Getting Robert Meachem back was huge for us.

We don't know yet. He played hurt the first two games and even though he dressed last week his streak of over 100 consecutive games came to an end. We have been decimated by injuries also (every team gets them) but you will never see Payton give into that excuse.

I'm hoping that's not the case actually, I'd love to see the Falcons beat up on New England today. Hopefully this is the day New England's extended preseason ends.

The biggest problem I see with this is you still have a guy named Drew Brees that is healthy.

Where is your old Defensive coordinator now, and who was in charge of the operation.
He should be out of coaching, what he oversaw is what I would consider to be the worst sin you can commit as a coach.
I loved it when he had his knee blown out standing in the sidelines, now that's what you call Karma.

You obviously have no clue as to what really happened. I guess you never followed all the legal stuff last year. Nice to know that you are gullible enough to fall for the nfl pr machine hook line and sinker. This was all about the concussion lawsuit. The world would be better off if that maggot goodell ended up on a milk carton. I, along with a lot of other saints fans, will piss on that man's grave one day. He will rot in hell.

BTW, if this bs was true, who exactly did we hurt. Even the Los Angeles Times did a piece saying how few injuries the saints opponents had when playing them.

If you must know the so called evidence consisted of a staff member that was fired for lying and going awol and then the maggot also got Gregg Williams to write a so called confession so that he could get back into the nfl coaching ranks.

The maggot pulled off the biggest scam ever. I suggest you read Mike Florio sometime and you will find out just how flimsy this was. Florio, who is a lawyer (and never loved the saints) started calling the nfl the no facts league after this bs but go ahead and keep believing in fairy tales.

I personally didn't keep up with all of the depth of it but do remember seeing Brett Farve's career finished off by multiple hits on his ankles and knees even late hits or the Vikings would have won that game hands down. Matt Hasselbeck in a playoff game, Jay Cutler nearly lost his voice when a Saints player kicked him in the throat, Josh Freeman of the Bucs same div as you know, and can't forget Kurt Warner those are off the top of my head and don't forget the people who admitted giving money to the bounty pots to be paid it was a problem that did exist and I hope we never have to see corruption like that again.

Heres a GREAT breakdown on Rob Ryans defense.....

    http://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/2013/6/26/4461784/saints-rob-ryan-defense-2013-scheme

    "
Rob Ryan runs a multiple scheme that is complex in nature, and heavy on personnel groupings. A lot of his scheme is built around front seven play. He wants stout coverage on the outside, superb tackling throughout, and versatility amongst his defensive front. His defense is a base 3-4, but for teams that are heavy on the pass - he morphs into his fathers 46. He likes to play three safeties at once, which should work well with the Saints trio of Malcolm Jenkins, Roman Harper, and Kenny Vaccaro.

The corners have to be adept in man-to-man coverage to allow for the blitz packages to run it's course. Earlier I profiled how Keenan Lewis may be the key to the back half of the defense, but incumbent starter Patrick Robinson and veteran stalwart Jabari Greer will have to elevate their respective levels of play for this defense to have a chance. I'm interested in seeing if second year corner Corey White can improve his play enough to warrant significant playing time. At 6-1, 205 pounds, White has the size Rob Ryan likes and covets.

The outside linebackers must have a pass rusher that is a major backfield disruptor. This particular guy always plays to the open end of the formation (opposite the tight end). In addition, the other outside backers need to be able to defend the run and cover tight ends, slot receivers, and running backs alike. The Saints were counting on former Cowboy Victor Butler being the key pass rusher until a torn ACL this off-season promptly ended his season. I honestly don't see anyone else on the roster who fits the bill.

As far as Farve it was his career in my eyes, a hobbled QB can't do much.

Appears I am correct on my memory also.

Neither here nor there, guys. Stuff happened, guys paid their penalty. Over and done with and has no bearing on this upcoming game. Let it go and let's focus on the match-up.

The Saints have faced only the Falcons in week 1. The past two weeks, they had gimme games and barely beat the Bucs. I think we can steal this one from them in the Dome. It would be karma, for that BS the refs pulled on that fumble the league apologized for a couple seasons ago.

Guy came over to talk about the game and the match-up and people start berating him about the past, which he had nothing to do with, and has nothing to do with the game tomorrow night.

Also, you can't say that you don't know the facts, then start talking smack about things that may have been hearsay or not factual.

He was wrong to start name calling, but still he was trying to defend his team, knows more about what actually happened, and it isn't like he was in here dogging the Fins or the fans...

Just re-read all his posts. Not seeing it. He was responding to being attacked about the Bounty-gate scandal, which is over and done with. Has no bearing on the game and I fail to see why Fin13 brought it up to begin with.

As I said, he was wrong to start name calling, but his posts prior to the attacks on his team and coach were solid and helped provide some input into the game tomorrow night.

I'm sick and tired of all the love for Brees and the magical return of his coach, the guy that was kicked out of the NFL for a year and now he's the saviour.
Their defensive coordinator was kicked out for life think about these facts.

I really thought what they did was the lowest thing a coach can do, I can put up with players problems from violence to drugs,
( not including Hernandez, that is crazy ****) but coaches doing what Williams and Payton did is totally unacceptable, make no mistake that Ricky Williams did nothing by comparison and was gone for a year, and he was a player only responsible for his own behavior, not the teams.
    Payton got away with it.
So yeah still pisses me off

I'm well aware of those facts... and agree to a point. Still, none of that has any bearing on this game tomorrow night. You're allowing your emotions to rile you up about something that happen a few seasons ago.

Williams ban was well deserved and while I personally think Peyton should have been banned from coaching along with him, Goddell sat him out for a season as punishment and a deterrent from future similar acts. Attacking other posters here to talk about the game over bounty-gate makes little sense to me... YMMV...

Sean Payton is a scumbag and everyone here in NOLA knows it. His wife divorced him after she found out he knocked up a cheerleader. And then there was the vicodin incident(s): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/02/saints-vicodin-lawsuit-se_n_560087.html

Saints fans are delusional when it comes to Bountygate. They all truly think the Saints and the coaching staff were set up and are some scapegoat. Its ridiculous. All the evidence points to the bounty system having been in place. They were warned by the NFL and CONTINUED to have the bounty program.
