So did Jesse. Walt was an evil person that tried to make right as much as he could towards the end, imo.

And he did. But it doesn't take away from the pain inflicted on Jessie- His GF, Brock, giving him to the Nazi's, Brock's mom, Mike, Gus and all the other collateral damage that hung over Jessie's head.

Jesse shooting Walt would have been another example of Walt telling Jesse what to do.

I agree. It was much better Jesse didn't kill him. He was tired of doing what Walt wanted. So when Walt said it was what he wanted, and Jesse seen he was shot, he did the gangster thing by not killing him. He was no longer helping Walt.

I get that. That is why I understand why Jessie didn't kill him. That doesn't mean it wouldn't have been an epic ending for Jessie to do it.

I still don't understand why people think Jesse is a saint. He's got plenty of blood on his hands as well.

He did the human thing which is why people love Jesse. He's not evil by nature as we've seen so him killing Walt there would make no sense.

My thoughts on the finale:

- Walt making Elliot and gretchen **** bricks while Badger and Skinny Peet flash lazer pointers at them was awesome. Loved Walt's nonchalance attitude. That knife comment sounded exactly like Mike.
- Walt killing that smug ***** Lydia with the ricin (called it!)
- Jesse choking Todd to death!
- Skylar and Walt's final conversation
- Walt seeing his daughter and son one last time. So many feels...
- Walt out smarting the Nazi's with his mind. Heisenberg > MacGyver.
- Walt saving Jessie
- Walt and Jessie parting on... good terms? Those feels when the nodded to one another...
- Jesse driving like a mad man, all excited
- Walt walking around Meth lab, reminiscing about his life.

****ing loved it.

Jesse killing Walt or vice versa makes no sense...

1. Walt wouldn't kill Jesse because he's admitted to the truth to himself. He's responsible, no one else. No more excuses about motives and no more blaming everyone else. Why punish Jesse for this?

2. Jesse wouldn't kill Walt because he's had enough... He was broken to start the season. He broke further during. Walt just saved his life and killing Walt doesn't change anything. Jesse also realizes Walt knows he was wrong. He willingly gives Jesse the gun to finish him off. Walt wants to be punished. The worst punishment isn't to give him what he wants. Jesse isn't going to give that to him and is finally done with Walter White, in every way imaginable.

As with the entire rest of the show, it was fantastic. I'm glad that Walt finally told Skyler and the audience the truth. This was always about him and his ego.

I'm happy Jesse survived. He's far from a saint. But he's paid a high price for his actions and he'll always have to live with the horrible things that have happened. And I liked the way Walt went out. He was killed by his own doing, which was pretty badass purely in a technical sense. As the song said, he got what he deserved.

Science, *****.

My favorite scene of the final episode was when Jack tried stopping Walt from killing him, and Walt shot him halfway a through his sentence of telling him the he knows where the money is at.
Walt telling Skyler he did it for himself was huge as well.

Great ending.

Not serious. The Huell thing was a joke.

Just finished the episode. Shed a mini tear. Solid finale considering they had to accomplish so much in just one episode.

However there's a void in my life that will forever be left unfilled, which is not witnessing Marie gett killed off.... or at least maimed severely. Should'a put that trifling ***** in a car accident while yapping to Skyler. Have her look down at her phone momentarily and run into a bus. That would've been so apropros, having her annoying intrusive mouth get the best of her in the end. Goddam I would've stood and cheered..... like a winning 4th quarter Tannehill TD against the Pats to clinch the division! :(

I went to my buddys house to watch with a couple of friends. Here on the west coast, Direct Tv allows you to watch at 6 pm but another friend was getting off work at 7 so we waited. We turn the TV on and Talking bad was on, we scrambled to shut it off, and luckily we did because I was so close to throwing his tv off the stand it was on.

Anyway I loved it. Loved it! Loved the closure with the Elliot and Gretchen, loved that whole scene and a great way for Walt to finally get his family the money he earned for them. The Skyler scene was also an amazing scene which brought closure to Skyler and Marie, she will finally get her husbands body recovered. Great moment when he said he did it for him, and that he enjoyed it. The final scene was just pure epicness. The bad *** kill walt got, the saving jesse life was awesome. You just felt so good for jesse after everything hes been through to finally be Free. Him killing Todd was awesome too. He deserved it, since Todd first the little kid up until last weeks episode where he killed his girlfriend. And as for Mr White. I liked that he did not die from Cancer, rather a bullet from his own gun, him admiring his work. It was just an awesome end to a amazing show!

Yep, Jesse saw that Walt had been shot, he knew he was going to die so there was no point in shooting him and it would only be giving Walt what he wanted, again. Anyway, Jesse isn't Heisenberg, so him shooting Walt would have been out of character imo. Him killing Todd was ok though, considering what he'd done to him!

Loved the ending, one of the best endings to a TV show ever. After last week's Dexter travesty, I was dreading (but not expecting) it being a letdown.

I really enjoyed the last episode of Breaking Bad. I thought it did a hell of a job wrapping everything up. The stuff with Gray Matter was great, especially with Badger and Skinny Pete making cameos. The Lydia ricin murder was fantastic especially that Walt got to tell her she's dying. Obviously the Nazi take out was great. The final scenes with Walt and Skylar and Walt and Jesse and the final shot really good stuff. Totally satisfied.

Most of the complaints I read about the finale was we didn't get to see what happened with Jesse after he escaped and Jesse didn't kill Walt. Remember this show is about Walt, he's the main character. It's about HIS journey. Plus how would you have liked to see what Jesse was up to and it not hurt the pacing of the show since everything took place in a linear story, show flash forwards of Jesse while Walt was dying? Nah that wouldn't work. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I like that we can make up our own minds what Jesse is doing. Regarding Jesse not killing Walt, I think people here did a nice job of explaining why he didn't do it.

Anyway it was fun talking with you guys about Breaking Bad, hopefully the discussion keeps up a little longer. I'm just glad that Walt didn't end up a lumberjack or wake up in an alternative universe in purgatory.

Completely satisfying episode. All important questions got answered and all the bad guys are dead.

Loved the Lydia Ringtone.

I would have liked to know what does Jessie do from here? Guess he looks to become a carpenter.

Last night, I get myself all set to settle down for the finale. Got the boy into bed, walked the dog, recorded the Pats - Falcons game, set the DVR to record an extra 10 minutes of Breaking Bad just in case.

I waited until 915 to start watching, to bank all the commercial time. So excited.

Nice contrast to start the last episode with Walt once again desperate the cops aren't coming his way, just like the pilot but now encased in a snow covered car, instead of in a gorgeous New Mexico landscape.

Loved every second of the Gretchen and Elliott scene, nice to see Walt pull off a scheme.

Great to see Walt flash back to the pilot scene of dozens of people surrounding him for his 50th birthday, with him now all alone in that same room on his 52nd.

I liked how sleazy and desperate Walt made himself appear while surprising Lydia and Todd at the diner, all while we know Walt is just putting the final chess pieces in place.

The scene with Skyler was a pleasant surprise. I liked how they set it up with the suggestion that Walt was spreading the police thin enough that he could sneak into the house.

Everything was working out for Walt at this point, he put a solid plan in place to get the money to his family. He poisoned Lydia, he Macguyvered up the machine gun we've been waiting to see used since last summer. He gave Skyler some leverage against prosecution. He got to see baby Holly, and then Walt Jr. from afar. My brain was telling me that Vince Gilligan was setting us all up. That the Walt victory tour couldn't last. Walt has never had everything go his way for do long.

So once Walt pulls up to the Nazi compound, I was gearing up for the unexpected. Those Nazi bastards are just so casually evil, I really thought they'd shoot him before Walt could succeed in pulling off his final touch.

Just as they were shuffling Jesse from his cell MY ****ING DVR **** THE BED AND STOPPED RECORDING THE ****ING FINALE!!

The meter showed that it had recorded the full episode. So I fast forwarded through the episode to get back to where it left off and 5 times in a row it kept kicking back to the menu. *****!

So I finally resigned myself to the fact that I'd have to record the 12:15 am replay (screw you Low Winter Sun) and wake up at 1:30 and watch the final scene of the finale. I watched the end of the Pats game. Saw Matt Ryan choke where Ryan Tannehill succeeded last week, and went to bed.

While sleeping I dreamed alternate endings including a zombie Hank, and Jesse escaping via an underground tunnel like in the Running Man. They seemed like awesome possibilities while I dreamt and stupid once I woke.

My alarm went off at 1:30, I watched the final scenes finally play out after a 3 and a half hour delay. And I was pleased. Though that was a helluva lot of machine gun fire to suddenly have playing in a house that had been quiet for the past few hours.

This isn't necessarily a complaint, but that final scene was very predictable. Though I'd guess that Vince Gilligan was fully aware of that. After a show with so many unpredictable turns, the biggest surprise was that it ended pretty much as expected.

The only lingering question I have is whether Jesse has to go on the run now, since his fingerprints are all over the lab. Would Marie's testimony be enough to corroborate Jesse? Is there any way Jesse avoids a long prison sentence with Heisenberg dead and no one for the DEA to prosecute?

First off, that sucks about your DVR but glad you got to watch it after all.

As far as it being predictable, yeah the final episode was where you figured the ricin was going to Lydia and the gun was for Uncle Jack's crew but there's nothing wrong with predictablity as long as the writing and set up is good, which it obviously was. I do think Gilligan backed himself into a corner a little but giving those flash forwards to start this season with Walt going into the house and last season with Walt at Dennys but I think the route to the ending was great enough. Like you said we got a lot of surprise twists and turns during the series, especially the last season where it didn't matter if the finale had any twists.

I would think Jesse has to go on the run now. He was already in trouble with the law about the millions of dollars he had on him in the park before Hank pulled him out and you bring up the finger prints at the meth lab etc. So he's probably not going to just walk away even with Marie's testimony, which I wouldn't think would be very helpful since she never heard or saw his confession he gave Hank and Gomez, she's just going by what Hank told her. Maybe the cops find the confession DVD at Uncle Jack's? Even then I bet Jesse still gets thrown in jail if caught. I know a lot of people assume he's going back for Brock but I don't think so. Brock is probably being taken care of by his grandmother now plus how in the world would Jesse be able to adopt him with his jail record and background. Jesse is probably in the middle of god knows being a carpenter or something. Maybe he's a lumberjack with Dexter!

He probably is in Alaska, since that was where he was headed prior to discovering the Brock poisoning. But he'd also fit Dexter's code. Watch your back Jesse.

I think the cops have their pound of flesh now. Walt is dead, the guys that killed Hank and Gomez are dead. They'll surely find out about Lydia and Madrigal who's soon to die. The video will only prove to put a nice bow on everything.

It was a fantastic show, and the ending felt very satisfying for the part of me that still somehow liked Walt. However, considering just how much they unmasked Walt in the last few episodes as irredeemable, I thought the show wouldn't give him a full final episode of victory.

The only time he didn't fully get his wish, when Jesse refused to kill him, it seemed more like a Jesse victory than a Walt defeat. In fact, Jesse not killing him allowed Walt to catch the Lydia phone call and get another twist of the knife in before she died. The last bad thing to happen to Walt in the series was having to pay $10,000 for some company. Given all the suffering he's caused, I think I'd like to see more justice.

Hank died and he tore apart his entire family....Holly and Walt Jr will grow up without a dad, and not only that (the cancer would've taken him anyways) they will have to grow up knowing hes a monster and in his shadow.......he got justice imo
