I can abide by a 2nd year QB making mistakes. I can also abide by an overmatched nickel CB to miss plays. I cannot abide by this "let's play not to lose" mentality at the road against a team like New Orleans. If you're scared to go for it on 4th and 1 or with 55 seconds to play at the end of the half, don't effing play there to begin with.

 

2 scores down at the half is fast getting that way.

Thought Miami played well, aside from the turnovers. Need to better protect the ball.

Please pick it up Tannehill, at the very least so I dont have to listen to the " Tannehill sucks" bandwagon for the next week.

Carroll has played pretty well this year. The td tonight was a risk he took that didn't pay off. The Dolphins have been burned on 3rd down tonight by one of the master surgeons. Tannehill is still young and will make mistakes. Dolphins are certainly contenders. And would be contending tonight without the turnovers. Two qb turnovers and two Saint tds. Hard to watch this, but I haven't lost confidence in team.

Eh? We've had 218 yards of offence in the first half, they have had 220. Individual mistakes are killing us, not them. They haven't really been able to stop us at all.

 

Oh and did I mention Carroll sucks?

 

It doesn't really matter who gets the ball. We're playing "let's hang in there" ball. That's a great way to beat teams like Cleveland or even Atlanta but it's getting you killed against an elite opponent. In a slow and miserable way, too.

However, I want to see Coyle earn his money and shut down these 3rd down conversions from a mile. And if the little man burns us this half I have some concern about his coaching.

 

Listen, we're beating ourselves. We can hang with top-tier teams in this league. Tannehill looks good despite his TO's. Second half will be a WHOLE DIFFERENT ball game. I have confidence with what I've seen so far this year and I will not change this mindset. Tannehill is the future and will show it this 2nd half. He's got the make-up. We're still in this and the defense is pretty damned strong - Carroll just needs to turn it around. We're still in this.

 

I don't think we're playing well. I think we're showing that we're talented enough and quite capable of competing with the Saints if we actually were playing well.

 

Why would you when you can throw at Carroll and Jimmy Wilson

 

Not sure I agree. Sometimes you have to let your young QB mentally regroup. Show him your adjustments. Let him lead the team to a TD to open the 3rd quarter.
