I did not realize that Jerry was alerting Pouncey on when to snap the ball. Odd. After watching those condensed like that I still like his skills and think we can accomplish some goals w/ Tannehill as our QB. Need some more weapons, fewer drops. Is our screen game that transparent? It seemed like they were all over the few we tried.

Not sure what happened to Thigpen @0:22

Miller not getting the first down @ 0:30 was a mini-killer

    Wallace probably scores @ 0:44

On the INT @ 2:03 the CB never even looked at Hartline. He essentially did the same thing @ 1:12, but Tanny got the ball in. I think CK mentioned that an OC needs to be seeing that and take advantage of the CB squatting

Not sure what happens here @ 2:19 or who to blame, but the result sucks. Wallace free in the middle of the field

That play kinda ruined it for me. I'm done

I found myself kind of pissed at Hartline for seeing the DB in his route and basically pulling up rather than at least try to play defense on the pass. The other DB was able to run down and push Hartline before he showed any real reaction to the play IMO.

Yeah, bad play by Hartline, worse decision by Tannehill. That was the 3rd or 4th time RT went to Hartline on the same route vs that same DB, gotta go to a double move or something. Chalk it up as a learning experience.

Clearly RT and Wallace need to have a long, romantic walk on the beach. One play Wallace is running through the zone and RT thinks he's gonna sit. The next time Wallace sits and Tanne thinks he's gonna run through. Two well designed plays where Wallace is wide open = one incomplete and one turnover. Vaccarro got his fingernail one one pass and Wallace dropped it. I dunno if Lewis tipped the bomb but it went right trough Wallace's hands. A night of missed opportunities.

When those two finally get on the same page it's going to be dynamite.

It wd be nice if Tanny had the time to let Hartline do a double move, but in the 2nd half there was not time to throw.

I don't know how to say this without sounding like an aqua glasses wearing Tannehill fanboy, but I thought Tannehill threw the ball really well. Take away those poorly designed, ugly *** screens, and our offense looked pretty good. I am not excusing the picks, but 82 and 11 could have influenced those plays. The final pick was not 17's fault. We just ran into a better team, at home on MNF. **** happens.

You wear the aqua, I'll wear the orange b/c I saw the same damn thing. A lot of good, some bad, but nothing that can't be fixed.

He'll learn to slide, and not go to the well too many times on the quick slants. He's already shown improvement in stepping up in the pocket to help his tackles. He and Wallace will get on the same page eventually. Obviously the loss and the TO's hurt, but pig picture wise I'm encouraged by how he played. How he responds vs Baltimore will be even more telling.

Thought they moved the ball well up until the first INT.

I had just finished telling a Saint's fan that the key for us was to survive the second qtr without killing ourselves, then to come out strong defensively in the second half when the INT was thrown and the Saint's scored.

Felt like that was the ball game right then and there. 2nd quarters of games seem to be our Achilles's heel.

It got out of hand, we beat ourselves. That first incomplete screen to miller should have been thrown to Wallace instead

I need to watch it, but all I remembered is throw to the right side then left. Besides the long ball to Wallace, thill needs to put more air on that ball and let Wallace run and get it. What happened to throwing down the middle?

It also looked to me that the offensive line was having a pretty good game up until that point.

Tannehill actually wasn;t THAT bad once you consider the protection he didn't receive.

Clabo was atrocious. I tallied 6 missed blocks leading to hits & hurries. NOT including sacks surrendered.

Each of the other Dolphins linemen surrendered a total of 2 hits/hurries/tipped passes each (NOT including sacks... since the video doesn't show those, unfortunately)

Would love to see the sacks.

Wallace with two drops and a couple bad routes too.

By the way, the offense saw slightly more consistent success when only blocking with the 5 Oline... NOT when we kept extra blockers in.

7 or 6 man protection vs 4 rushers (All yardage approximate)
    - Deep incompletion to Wallace (this was a 7 man protect, telling you the coaches think we need max protect to have any chance of a deep pass to Wallace)
    - Short pass with 14 yd YAC by Gibson
    - Hartline 10 yd slant
    - Gibson for 2yds
    - INT
    - Incomplete
    - 12 yd completion
    - Tipped pass
    - Gibson for 15 yds
    - Clay for 4 yds
    - Gibson for 8
    - Clay for 8
    - INT

    5-Man Protection
    - Hartline 10 yd slant
    - Dropped
    - Gibson 10
    - Clay 9
    - Wallace 8
    - Wallace 6
    - Clay 7
    - Clay TD
    - INT (Clabo pressure, Tannehill's arm hit)
    - Matthews 15 (good protection)
    - Incomplete
    - Thigpen for 50yds versus the blitz (only 5 man protection)

Those bubble screens to Wallace looked well played, except Tannyhill throwing to the RB on the other side. Like it was designed to fool the defense to go to Wallace, instead fooled themselves by throwing to the poorer receiver which was covered well.

You know, the drop, or whatever, by Wallace on the deep ball makes me ill. I mean, how huge would that have been at that moment. Would've likely been an 87-yard rediculously awesome TD at a time when we needed it, and would've been the first real big play between Tanny and him. Would've been something to hang your hat on win or lose. Ball was more than good enough for a deep ball, and he got his hands on it, then defender fell down. Would've walked into the end zone.

Man, I hope he gets it right next time. Wow, what a lost opportunity that was.

I'm there with you, but I would think at some point it's going to pay off right .... right???? RIGHT???? Please, tell me I'm right!!!

There's just too much talent and speed there, and too much arm from Tanny to not make this work at least on some level. Would be nice if it started Sunday.

Its difficult to appreciate how few pass plays we run from under center until you see them all in a row like that, i know we like to run the offence out of the shotgun but this just brought it home a little bit.

On topic i don't think Tannehill really played that badly, a lot of positive throws even while the protection was breaking down. On the screens it would help if the backs would appreciate Tannehill is trying to lead them into the blocks rather than standing flatfooted.

When all 4 of their DLmen correctly read, diagnosed, and reacted perfectly to our screen on 2nd and long I instantly considered whether or not they could be wire tapping our OC. It just doesn't seem plausible that all 4 would react that way.

Up until the 1:30 mark in the 2nd quarter I though Tannehill played pretty well.

I've noticed that when he gets the ball out quickly he performs much better. I mean I know this is obvious, but its a sign that he can pretty much make any throw, the problem lies in his ability to diagnose where to throw on certain plays. That is something that will speed up with more reps.

I still am buying into Tannehill's future. Think he has all the tools too be great. I think next year he will go off. There has been noticable improvements between his first and second year; kid seems like a hard worker and I fully expect his decision making process to improve as well as his deep passes. Those in my opinion are his two biggest issues as of now (along with the OL).

4:19 mark, gorgeous backshoulder throw to Gibson, then a beautiful TD floater to Clay. Kids got the physical abilities.....just gotta keep him upright.

Yea, that floater and the one to Sims the previous week were just beautiful.

While we have some needs on defense I truly think our biggest need is OL. If we improve our OL play and give Tannehill an extra .5 seconds, I think he could be amazing.

I am encouraged after watching this. RT hasn't had any accuracy issues at all this season. And credit their gameplan... Time to squash some dirty birds. I'd love to see Sherman let RT air it out one game. Especially in the red zone.

Ryan doesn't seem to set up the screen game very well either, his release is funky, his release point is awkward.
