Why stop at Gordon if you're talking about player comparisons? Why not compare Little to Calvin Johnson why you're at it? Not sure your point, Jim, or if you read any of my posts WADR. I wasn't declaring that Little is equal to or better than Gordon. This is more about bolstering the 3-5 WR spots and the cost of the trade involved after having already spent $90 million on perimeter receivers. Little has shown more than enough to warrant being added to our 4 man receiving corps AT THE RIGHT PRICE.

The point is simple, but I'll rephrase if you'd like- Gordon is a significantly better receiver than Little, not even close, and he would be the WR that I'd be interested in getting from the Browns, not Greg Little. Aside from Little having a big body, I don't know why I'd trade for him, especially since I'd rather have Gibson or Rishard Matthews in the slot straight up over Little and his very questionable hands.

Would I actually consider trading for Little at all? I really don't know, he's just not that good. Gordon is a different animal altogether, a true talent at the WR position with great size at 6-3 225 lbs. and speed to burn.

I'd consider maybe flipping a late round pick for Little, but with Gibson and Matthews on the roster I hardly consider slot receiver a need position- that being said, why mess with Little and his poor hands? Gordon- different story altogether. Put him on the roster and you kick up the WR corps talent to the next level.

I made a joke in reference to the fact that you really liked Little coming out of UNC hence me using the word little twice. I remember things well. You liked Jernigan a lot too. Get over yourself.

It didn't seem like a joke the way you stated it. Perhaps if you added in some sort of smiley face to show it was clearly a joke then I wouldn't have treated it as a backhanded comment.

And yeah, I liked Jernigan a lot..... and Taylor Price too. Unfortunately those guys haven't effectively shown the ability to execute the mental side of the game, which stuff like that will always leave draftniks and armchair GM's at a disadvantage when profiling a player b/c we can't interview them or talk to their coaches to properly gauge exactly what they're mentally capable of. You win some you lose some.

Any trade at this point has to involve the Offensive line. Martin is not showing enough to make me assured that he can, even in the future, be the answer at LT. Jerry is not working right now, and is not getting drive of the ball, and Clabo is not doing as well as billed. Right Guard is probably the most critical, but if we could shake loose a good to great LT for a trade - as they used to say down here - heyll yayus!

TBH..at this point I'd give serious thought to benching Jerry and starting Garner instead.

Instant pressure and penetration destroys offenses.

Is it unfair to Rishard Matthews to bring up his solid performance in this thread ?

4 targets, 4 rec. for 42.... Pick your poison now defenses !

Or how about Watkins? I was thinking they signed him with the intent of him being an eventual starter.

Eh sort of, suspect they claimed Watkins with the idea of him replacing Garner as the swing Tackle/G/C, if Garner moves up and Jerry sits down it does not change.

Watkins is making peanuts, Garner 1. something million and Watkins does not quite know the offense just yet.

I don't know what the arguing is all about but god damn Josh Gordon is a really good receiver.

Browns are now 3-0 with two different quarterbacks since Gordon came back from suspension. They are a different team with him in.

Gordon is a far better playmaker than Hartline.

That being said, I'm very, very happy with our #2 WR.

If we had Gordon instead of Hartline we wouldn't have needed to pay a guy $60 mil to be our #1 receiver.

I don't know if anyone was watching tonight but you have to give Norv Turner tons of credit. After the game Marshall Faulk said he was talking to Weeden off camera and Brandon told him something I find absolutely incredible.

When Hoyer went out and Weeden came in, for two series Weeden looked like complete dog anus. We all saw it. There were loud boos. Everyone on twitter were just laughing at him. I specifically noted it looked like the guy didn't even prepare for the game.

Well evidently that was 100% true. Because of the short week, Weeden got zero reps in practice. It was all Hoyer all week. So Weeden really WAS unprepared to run this week's game plan.

After those first two series though, Norv Turner completely switched gears and exclusively called plays that Weeden ran in Weeks 1 & 2.

Can you effing imagine that? I find that absurdly incredible for an offensive coordinator to be willing and able to do that...to just toss away this week's game plan and reach back to game plans from nearly a month ago calling those plays from memory, keeping track of everything in your head.

I'm stunned. What a win for the Browns. It may be short-lived, or maybe it isn't, who really knows...but they deserve that 3-2 status and a few days of sole possession of the AFC North.

Why does it have to be about Brian Hartline? What would make the most sense is to have Gordon instead of Wallace right now. Personally I'd just take Gordon over Gibson.

I think we need more from a #2, especially since our #1 is inconsistent. Wallace will be taken out of games, whether it's due to double teams, an excellent corner locking him down, or his own inconsistency, it'll happen, so we need another guy who can make plays, and Hartline isn't that guy, neither is Gibson or Mathews, which is why I would've loved to trade for Gordon. Drafting Sammy Watkins as an alternative would be lovely but we'll probably miss out on him after spending our first couple of picks fixing this sorry *** OL.

It wasn't perception. When Philbin addressed the WRs, he'd specifically reference their ability to line-up in different positions.

Yep, I don't know who he reminds me of... but he has a classic receiving game. Excellent route running, excellent speed, great hands. He's the real deal. We really need to look into Baylor receivers they got a bunch of them on their current team with top speed, route running ability and hands. That coaching staff/scouts know what they're doing over there in Baylor.

They have Joe Banner running things, should be easy to get the best of him. Though he was instrumental in the Eagles classic duping of the Dolphins.

They traded away their first rounder from last year. The signs point to him being right more than wrong.

They probably didn't expect it all to turn around.

(11:13 am ET) Rob Chudzinski tried to douse the fire of Josh Gordon trade rumors on Wednesday, per The Associated Press. "We're not shopping Josh and we have no plans of trading Josh," Chudzinski said in his press conference.
Rumors have floated that Gordon is being eyed by teams needing receivers, such as San Francisco and Atlanta. But Gordon might have played himself out of consideration by the suddenly contending Browns. He has been easily their most productive wideout with 14 catches for 217 yards in two games since returning from suspension to start the year.
