    .

Are you really trying to say you would be just as confident...and have the same positive feeling...as you had at 3-0 if we lose tomorrow? Seriously now.

Nothing to do with record. Everything to do with recovery. We've seen a bold team until we took a knee with seconds that could've seen 3 points. And, who knows? We've seen a bold team until someone made a decision to take it into the locker room after the leader of your team committed a turnover. We've seen a bold team until someone decided not to instill faith in their QB, not to put the game in his hands even at the risk of disaster; even when disaster was already striking, even when you could feel momentum escaping, even at the risk of a telegraphing a negative message that anyone who's ever put on a helmet can decipher. Oh no, Fin. Believe it. This is a must win that has absolutely nothing to do with our record. And it's more for the coaching staff than the players.

    That's besides the point.

The question is whether the Ravens game is a must win, which it isn't. That's not an opinion it's a fact.

IMO there's a lot of people ready to start their sky is falling chants if the team loses tomorrow, which is funny bc it'll be the same people who said 1-4 or 2-3 was where we'd be after 5 games.

I just feel like playoff contenders should be able to bounce back from a tough loss against a struggling team like Baltimore at home. Sure it's not direly needed, but I think it's a very important game. Have to win home games against fellow playoff contenders. And if the Patriots win and you lose, you're suddenly two games behind an injury plagued Patriots who may have Gronk back just in time to play us in NE.

PS, looks like Ravens may have Pitta back by the time they play the Patriots.

Lol, I didn't write crybabies but whatever, I'm not gonna freak out if we lose to the world champs..I think I have a grasp on where this team should be relative to a new regime change.

I think we have an advantage because their playing very undisciplined football, lacking leadership, and probably bordering on "chalk this year up to rebuilding mode", so if we can get ahead, it might just push them over the edge.

My comment on the fanbase was because it seems like if we don't beat the world champs, people will just not even bother on the season anymore..

Did we sell out this game?

There are going to be a lot of very pissed off people on our team on Sunday. Remains to be seen whether it will make a difference, but I have a feeling it will.

I think it has more with wanting to see the Dolphins make a big statement following a tough and ugly loss. The mark of a playoff team seems to be that you can come back from a tough loss, as well as win close gritty games (We have seen that one this season), especially at home.

I'm sure it is sold out. Last week had 70,000 and Atlanta isn't all that popular, I'd assume this would have the same or maybe more. There will also be more Ravens fans than were Falcons fans. I'm not even sure I spotted a Falcons fan in the crowd. Also, the 70,000 wasn't just for being the opener, as last season's opener had just over 50,000 fans.

Show me where you got the impression I don't agree with you?

If we win this game, it's fu&$in on...this year... if we lose this game, then it can still be a very successful season considering the starting point.

Not a must win but it would be huge...the Chiefs and Titans are looking solid too as new AFC wild card competition that may not go away. Ravens are going to be either the division champions or in the wild card hunt, another AFC win WILL be huge!

I get what we all want...but I'm not gonna lose perspective or the big picture..my original question was about if we lose, and how much of the fanbase is just gonna give up, and not bother with the fins this year because they aren't hitting their peak in year two even though the team is above most expectations at the beginning of the year..

I`m not criticizing your opinion at all, I just feel its a very important game to win . Is it a "must win" as far as playoff considerations are concerned? That remains to be seen but to REGAIN respectability after monday nights disaster, then yes its a must win in those regards. I`m not speaking for anyone else here but it seems those in agreement wth the "must win" theory are relaying the same message as I`m trying to.

People seem to forget that the Ravens are the defending Super Bowl Champions. And we haven't had much success at all against them in recent years. I think some of you are underestimating the Ravens. This will be a battle all game long and we'll have to play at a high level and protect the football if we are going to win.

Is this a must win game? Absolutely not. We're 3-1 and it's only week 5. But as SICK said, winning this game will set us up beautifully for the rest of the season. Let's get at it.

I agree and thank you. But whether we have a successful season or not- and the majority of fans are thinking 9-7 no playoffs- i want to come together as a team. This is that time. When you can pick each other up, forget. If your coaching staff can learn from their mistakes, adapt. Im telling you, brother, whether we make it to the playoffs or not it will be the coming of age team that you yourself talk about for greatness just a couple of years into the future. Tannehil is on the on the brink of what the future will bring. We need to see it after adversity. We must see it after adversity.

Again ,no ones saying the season is over if we lose and the only time a true "must win " label can be administered to a particular game is if its a lose-and-go-home game. BUT, for other important reasons this game is huge. If people have a hard time calling it a must win then fine ,lets just say its an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT game.

Rocky, this is not the defending champions. Lets not take it there. This team is a shell of its former self. A dangerous shell, mind you ( On any given Sunday...) but a shell nonetheless.

Much props to you for finding a middle ground. I will agree on extremely important rather than must win.

Yes. One can technically argue that every game is an important win but its understood how he means it.

It's an important game in my opinion. Not the end of the world if we lose but I do look at this as an opportunity that we can't let past us. 4-1 looks pretty good considering how so many have already started middle of the road.
It's also an important game for Tannehill, hopefully that short memory comes into play. It's a winnable game in my opinion.

I can appreciate your POV, for me this game is the difference between a good start and a great start. Its a conference game vs a team that IMO we should handle and I'm confident we'll win it then beat Buffalo to hit 5-1 going into Foxboro.

I agree and we need this to be taken seriously as AFC East contenders, not just wild card contenders. Despite last Monday this team should still have a lot of confidence.

Not nearly as bad as it would have been if the Ravens wouldn't have laid an egg in Buffalo last weekend. I still get the impression a lot of them don't think Miami is actually a good team. One guy I know did tell me he was worried earlier today though. A few months ago a Ravens fan told me that Miami doesn't have many fans and that when the Ravens go down south half the stadium is in purple. I hope to see that proven wrong tomorrow.

It's a hell of an important game, but their still a fine football team, that's gonna come in here and play physical, I like our chances this week, but I understand that if they beat us, and certain players like Tannehill are not the cause of it, and we play well, I'm still showing up to the bills game with excitement.

It's a big game for our team, our Qb, and our fanbase, games like this is how home field advantages take flight, we must perform for the crowd, we must play great defense, I don't believe we are the inferior team, I thought the first four games were pretty easy to call studying all rosters and variables involved, Tannehill has certain attributes that prime him to play well after facing adversity, and I feel confident that I saw some things last week to make me say that I feel good about the game..

I'm pleased and pumped with how we have played. Some lame Offensive calling and lack of our No1 WR showing up could have made the Saints game closer. We might have still lost. Wake missing was also a big contribution to the loss but its football. Saints record at home is unquestionable. Just look at their NFC champions banners they have hanging from the top tier. I think 'hype' has a serious imput to coments on here. We arnt great, we are good. Pats have been fortunate. We aren't as good as advertised. Its up to the Miami Dolphins players to finally make a statement. We have the tools. OLine is a mess. Until that's fixed we won't progress. Fact. Beit getting Wallace the ball and time to throw or getting lanes for Miller or actually protecting our next great/good QB. It won't be fixed this season but at 3-1 we are getting a taste of things to come. If it was a 3 course meal it would be a starter. 3 game win run is making some ppl a bit stir crazy. Its not warrantyed in the bigger picture.

....Except in the N.O. game, when he escaped the pocket and ran 20+ yds before the fumble. Honestly, your post had me going there for a second like "Yeah! he needs to step up!!" but think about it. All those years Brees was with the Chargers, he had some good games but he was not elite the QB he turned into. It's THill's second year, and he's played well this year, with one bad game. he's been about as accurate as anyone outside the big 4 this year. I'm all in on THill, at least until 2015. Would you take Dalton instead? RG3? Not me right now. Hang in there Explosions!!!

Just for the record, two starting qbs got knocked out for huge chunks of the year running the football, maybe I better think more deeply about the Qb being so multiple..but I just want our offense to be multiple so it's hard.

Ravens have a lot of talent on their roster. Fortunately it's a lot of new/young talent. The December Ravens will be very good, imo, and I think we're catching them amidst their Super hangover.

Really like our chances. I think we'll see a lot of running plays in this game, sloppy passing games being disrupted, and the Ravens D prowling for turnovers. Can't lose turnover battle tomorrow, imo. Though with Flacco, you never know what you're gonna get.

As to Tanny running, I'd prefer he not scramble downfield at all. Doesn't have great vision/feel as a RWilson-like runner or improviser (which he just put on display taking that shot against the Saints that led to a fumble). Take garbage yards and go down/out of bounds...please.
