I dont think the outside run was Shermans call... It must have been a pass... because Tannehill changed the play at the line.
Might as well throw it in those situations from now on. Our o-line and running backs cannot get 3rd and short.
Team D starting to look like **** again...awesome start! Maybe we should fire the whole ****ing team!
Flacco shoulda been sacked. Vernon was clearly blocked in the back with no flag... good thing that was incomplete.
Rewind it, and watch... he certainly does. He killed the original call, to his run play, instead of the pass, likely because of the coverage he saw. The issue is, why is your run kill... an outside run in that situation.
Can't wait to send those Ravens fans home feeling ****ty from a loss. Why they picked this game to go to, they must have thought we were a shoe-in for a win.
THe play did not look like pass. He might have audible to a different run, but it looked run all the way.
I just don't see the urgency or thought process of trying to get a first down by Miller in those situations. Get the yard and get back in the huddle
Every playcall... has a run or pass option, depending on what the QB sees in the defense. Tannehill read the D, then clearly changes the play giving out new signals, and then the outside run follows. Offensive formations look run, but pass alot, especially in those situations when you think the D is going to run, you fool them with a short pass... like the Dion Sims TD play. That looked like run all the way too... guess what, everyone in the world was fooled.
He did not change the playing.. he was calling out the defensive lineup… No one changed their alinement after he made the call.
They dont have to change their alignment, just their assignment. He comes to the line with the play call, and a kill for every play. He switched it to the run because of what he saw
