You keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better. Fact is, no one is happier when we win than I am. The difference is, I can see the differences between this team and succesful teams and those differences are pretty glaring. We have poor coaching from our assistants and our offensive line and backs get pushed around like little girls by every defense we face. Name me a team that has gone far in the playoffs with that sort of O line play.

No. What we should do is get red-hot angry and stay away from the stadium in droves until Ross realizes that we will not support a perennial loser. Everybody in the area code knew what was wrong with this team before the season. We were talking trades that could have made a difference, but Ireland and Ross wanted to save cap room. You are seeing the predictable, foreseeable result. Enough.

You should do whatever the hell you want...just stop telling other people how THEY should react. If other people want to complain about the shortcomings that led to a loss, how does that affect YOU?

A total team failure today...OL, WR, QB, Place Kicker, DBs, LBs, ST Coverage, Offensive Coaching. Big Time changes are needed in Miami.

Yes, all anyone has to do is go back and look at my posts to see you're lying through your teeth. I criticize when they play poorly, I praise when they play well. And you're lying.

No, you actually were lying. You lied about the nature of my posts. Whether you're a liar in real life I can't say, as I don't know you IRL. Just like you don't know me. The difference is, I don't try to make real-life statements to insult people with whom I disagree. You do. You have no freaking clue if I am happy about other aspects of life. A wise man would realize this ignorance and not make foolish statements.
Am I happy about the poor play of our offensive line this game? Of course not.
Am I happy that my chosen team has played between mediocre and HORRIBLE 10 of the last 11 years? Of course not.
And since we're here to discuss this team, that's what I discuss.
What I DON'T discuss is the real life personalities of people here, even those with whom I disagree. You should try this.

He had very good success at Texas A&M, even leading their offensive line to giving up the fewest sacks in the nation before coming to Miami.

I don't think he's putting things in the ear of a 10 year vet like Tyson Clabo that's suddenly turning him into a turnstyle.

I'm still blaming the talent a lot more than the coaching.

We can still make the playoffs, but it just got harder for us with this loss in what should have been a win. To make up for it, going to need to win a game later that should have been a loss ... or was the Atlanta game that game?

Either way, need to get the stuff together over next two weeks and absolutely beat Buffalo, so we have a fighting chance record wise against the Pats.

He's okay...I am not ready to say he's the Answer for us yet. It's difficult to say since he hasn't had the opportunity to produce a lot of the games that could confirm him as The Answer since he's spending so much time being sacked.

    Mathematically? Of course.
Realistically, with this level of play? No.

Success coaching an offensive line of college boys, where schedules dictate that any team will play a certain number of other teams that don't belong on the field with it, is quite different from coaching offensive lines in the NFL that are made up of grown men in an environment where they play for money.

We need to remember that it takes time for even the best college coach to adjust to what goes on in the NFL, and many can't make the transition. Look at Nick Saban. Except for Sherman, we have a bunch of college coaches, and the result is predictable.

I've seen enough. He shows enough poise, and can still produce fairly well w/ swiss cheese in front of him. Give him more time to throw, and more time to mature and that will equal one special QB.

No, there are plenty of winnable games left, and there aren't a lot of great teams in the AFC. That said, we need to put a bit of a streak together post-Patriots. And end well.

So now I'm a liar? You have legitimate concerns about the team. Yes. In a world filled with so much more than football, the impacts on peoples lives from one game can be a little too much for some to handle. Like nothing else even matters. I respect the fandom, just is a little much for people to week-in and week-out bash a team. We're in year 2 of Joe Philbins tenure and I think the team is on track to become a great team and there are some obvious weaknesses. Being a Dolphins fan, yeah losing hurts. Just doesn't impact me as much as others.

Im tired of being fooled by this team. Same result, different year. Just good enough to keep people from rioting but
Not good enough to do anything.

    See yall next year... Maybe

When was the last time we ended well?
As for winnable games...well, do you really think we can beat the Bengals with their defensive line facing our lack of an offensive line? A lot of people think they have the best D line in the NFL.
Do you think we can beat the Pats without a running game?
Yeah, we got the Bills and the Jets on the schedule, but the Jets, as bad as they are offensively, still have a fairly good defense. Can we keep them from killing Tannehill?
For that matter, how long is Tannehill going to be healthy taking this kind of beating? He's not Aaron Rodgers. If he goes down, what's Matt Moore going to do with that porous bunch of losers trying to block for him?
Everything starts from the line. Once in a great while you have a combination of a superior QB and great coaching staff who can overcome a crappy O line. This ain't it.

I'm too lazy to go back and look, and I had to watch the game on DVR delay today. What did everyone think of those "PI" calls that literally was an entire TD drive (minus the last yard) for the Ravens?

To me, neither were PI, and the last one on Grimes was literally a crime. If anything HE was interfered with.

Tannehill is a good NFL QB already, and he'll become excellent when these cretins who are coaching the team realize that he needs time to throw and do something about it other than coaching him to throw the ball in less than two and a half seconds.

Or maybe they're not cretins and realize that there is nothing they can do to make this offensive line better until the postseason, and are doing the best that can be done in a situation where we are sure to fail.

Maybe the failure to sign linemen and a blocking fullback is because they knew that we could not plug all the holes in one offseason and mentally threw this one away, preserving cap room for the postseason when we do something about the offensive line, as we addressed the receiving corps in the immediate past one.

Definitely had a huge impact on the outcome of the game. DB's played a little more timid after that and Carroll went out on the 2nd PI call.

You may be on to something here. Still, I think we can cobble this together somehow to get a playoff spot if we can get out of our own way.

    Ok. Can we? Let's see.

We did play the defending Super Bowl champs to within a game-ending field goal, despite having one of the worst o-lines and blocking backs in the NFL and no running game. Vegas nailed the spread: Dolphins giving 2.5 points.

The week before, we played one of the top teams in the NFL in their house, one of the worst of places to play on the road, and they embarrassed us. We did much better this week than we did last week.

We've beaten two of last year's playoff teams, and Cleveland is in the bottom half but not a bottom feeder.

And we haven't played a single divisional opponent.

Common sense tells me that when our guys come back from injury after the bye, and when Philbin has had time to drill Tannehill throwing to Wallace and has helped that dodo Turner with the offensive line as best he can, we may win more division games than we lose. We are just one game behind the Pats.

But these wonderful plans depend on the offensive line getting it some semblance of together. I don't see it. Six sacks? Please.

Today seemed like so many 2010-2011 games -
    * Inability to score TD's
    * Inability to win at home
    * Inability to convert a 3rd down
    * Inability to get off the field on 3rd down
    * Force feeding the ball to your #1 WR
    * Key plays that add up to a loss - dropped balls, kick out of bounds, a penalty, sacks, etc

    It was 2010-2011 redux unfortunately.

Well, more like since 1994. In 90 and 92 our final losses weren't that close. In 94 we lost the heartbreaker to the Chargers and it's been a downhill slide ever since. We've never made it past the second round since.

Looking at the replay of that 4th and 10 bomb to Gibson, I wonder if he actually had to leave his feet for the catch. I'm not knocking him, since he actually caught it, and it was a huge play, but I can only think that he gets at minimum another 5 (probably 10) yards if he stays on his feet. Heck, he might even score. :(
