What does it matter who wrote the article? The issues and concerns are real.

Clearly it's more than just defense. They just pulled the same stunt again. It's philosophical.

    the poor house
this problem is why Peyton Manning didn't want to come here yet I may be wrong .

this is kind of frustrating because its seems like players before they come to Miami play well and put up numbers and when they are with us their numbers fall off. this is why wont win a playoff game until our players put up better numbers (IMO)

Offense is not good right now. Period.

Defense is propping them up now.

The Dolphins force-fed the ball to Mike Wallace today and had their most inefficient offensive day. It was so Miami Dolphins a la 2010-2011 with Brandon Marshall.

Mike Wallace dropped some key balls. People will say Tannehill has to lead Wallace. Yes, he does. The ball he caught could have been a TD. Tannehill needs to improve ever so slightly there.

Wallace's ability to read zones is horrible. Most of the issues between Tannehill and Wallace revolve around where Wallace should be, or where Tannehill expects him to be.

For me, Mike Wallace has to be better. We've now designed two game plans around Mike Wallace.

For the one millionth time, Manning did not want to come here because he knew there was no way we could offer him the same amount of money that Denver could and did. Had Miami been the team that was something like 40 mil under the cap and Denver been about 15 mil under, Manning would not be a Bronco now.
Do you think it is just a coincidence that the team that signed him, of those interested, also happened to be the one that had BY FAR the most cap room??? smdh. :pity:

Manning and the Broncos will be 6-0 today, Manning is on fire, no way would he have that success in Miami with 50 million. well hindsight,

It is a bigger issue with the OL. That's at the core.

Wallace is not a high catch WR. He's not a Megatron or Andre Johnson. He's a big play WR. His big plays are limited because RT's time is limited.

This offense is killing this offense and is in the process of killing the defense
The past 3 games we've been dominated in time of possession,We've lost TOP in the last 4 games

Ravens game-23:44 on offense...36:16 on defense
Atlanta game- 22:51 on offense..37:09 on defense
Saints game- 26:11 on offense...33:49 on defense

At this rate I can see this defense destructing and not having much love for the offense

I hope our team can start going in the right direction after the bye but I have my doubts
Our problems might require an enema in the off season starting with this offensive line

The 3 games we have to play in 11 days after the bye "God have mercy"

Im curious if it ever occurred to all these naysayers that the reason Tannehill is having success (when he's not on his ***) in the air is because of the attention Wallace is getting. Today Tannehill missed on 2 or 3 deeps passes where he under threw Wallace, if he connects they are almost TD's. Wallace might be flustered but im sure with time things will get better. Big problem here is the dam O line... you dont let Long go and not replace him PERIOD. FIRE IRELAND

This is idiotic. Long has been as bad and at times worse than Martin. Your liking him or the security of his name does not change that.

Is the offense bad because of Wallace or that horrid OL?

Definitely more because of the offensive line.

At the same time, even though Wallace had a good headline number (7 catches for 105 yards) the details were poor. It took 16 throw attempts to get those 105 yards which is inefficient for a wide receiver. Included amongst the 9 incomplete passes were several drops and mis-comunnications that I would swear to you were less "mis-communication" than "flat out running a bad route".

or just flat out bad throws by THill… THill under threw him at least three time today… that makes about 10 for the season. Wallaces stat line would be totally different if THill could get him the damn ball… when he isnt eating turf...

That said, I am sure Wallace is also responsible for some of the problems… The drop in the redzone comes to mind in that I think THill was expecting him to sit down and Wallace kept going.

I'm certain some of the poor throws in your accounting are actually problems of communication between the two players. And more and more, those problems of communication are looking like Mike Wallace not embracing the details of his position.

Get him the damn ball?! The overpaid POS dropped it 3 times today. One, as you mentioned, was a 3rd down conversion within the redzone. Behind? Yes. But still a very easily caught ball with no contact to speak of.

Could've caught another one if he drug his foot near the sideline rather then just stepping back. That could be nitpicking, but he certainly doesn't seem as aware of the sidelines as Hartline.

Of course if the refs set the ball faster (or they didn't show controversial replays on the jumbotron) it may have counted anyways.

Hartlines a master of the sideline. No doubt in my mind that hartline catches that pass.

And Gibson catches the 3rd down in the redzone too.

I live in steelers territory and it seemed odd to me that nobody said they would miss Wallace. I get it now.

I agree that Tannehill made some bad passes today in Wallace's direction, but I think on the long completion they did have, Tannehills arm was hit slightly. Also the corner route to the end zone in the first half Wallace was held causing an overthrow. But the 3rd down in the red zone and the in route on the last drive were on THill.

lol spoken like a true arm chair WR...

look, I am not saying that Wallace is perfect but to fault him for that drop is just moronic IMHO. I could see you taking issue with the side line route which he didnt tap his toe AND he had a drop on a slant route… the rest of them are on poor communication and or THill just not hitting him.

BTW, all the people that are bagging on Wallace for his drops.. going into todays get he had three, I believe Gibson or Hartline had three and the other had two…
