Anyone have an idea of how many tickets are remaining for the game? I was thinking of going but to be honest if half the stadium is empty and there is no energy I'd rather watch it from home.. Rather than enjoy the game I'll just be in a bad mood at the pathetic nature of the fans.. (of course I'm contributing to not going but I've been through it enough the last two years to realize I'd rather watch from home)

Well according to stubhub and Ticketmaster, there's quite a bit of tickets available. I'd say it's about 60% sold at the moment. It's just Thursday though, when you consider some people walk in and buy tickets, I'd say it should be 75% full on Sunday.

How do you figure that out? I was looking on ticketmaster and it showed that most sections were full. I wonder if they do that on purpose to make it seem like attendance is higher than what it actually is..

    WADR, this is absurd.

How can the "pathetic nature of fans" put you in a bad mood when you're espousing exactly what makes up the "pathetic nature of fans"?

It's not logical. I like being part of an exciting atmosphere with energy, especially if I'm going to bake in the sun and spend several hundred dollars and 8 hours of my day at the game. I've been to more than 5 home games over the past few years that had really poor attendance, practically no crowd presence and it bothered me. In fact I didn't even enjoy the game. Call it a pet peeve or whatever you want to call it, but I'd rather watch it at home. Does it contribute to the pathetic nature of the fans, perhaps it does, but I've done my part over the years and been to plenty of games, more than probably most people. I'm entitled to feel that way.

Look, I'm all for watching the game in the comfort of your home. That's how I prefer it. If I lived closer I'd probably attend one or two games a year, but I don't.

However, I don't understand how you feel "entitled" to judge other people for doing exactly what you're doing though.

I've seen that seating map several times over the years and been to some games as well to figure out that, that's about 60. Meanwhile Lambeau Field is consistently in grey.

The Ravens game truly felt like a 50/50 split.

Brian Hartline was basically begging the fans to show up and be loud during his locker room interview. Talked about how big of a boost it gives the players when the atmosphere is electric.

The scene for the Baltimore game was embarrassing. 3-1 and hosting the defending Super Bowl champions and there wasn't much buzz. Not to mention it was filled with Ravens fans.

I live in Jersey so I can't really complain too much about it. Like Fin D said, if I lived in the area I would definitely go to a few games a season. I'm not in Miami so I can't say why attendance is the way it is, I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the team being not very good for a long time, but the team seems to be on the verge of breaking through the doldrums. Fans should be there for them.

Some sections only had Ravens fans. The stadium was half asleep for most of the game. It was also prohibitively hot there though..

It's gonna be embarrassing come Sunday, so you might as well prepare for it, the good news is that the team has now been backed in a corner, so I expect them to be self motivated for this game..the bad news is that, asking for a team to motivate themselves under these conditions is not gonna happen consistently...their human beings playing a gladiator sport.

The major problem is, the human mind in this sport cannot reach the same levels of motivation and energy that you would see in stadiums that have their fans closer to the action, where energy can be transferable, unfortunately, the energy in a stadium constructed like ours, with fans who don't understand the importance of being on time, will affect the mind of the player on most occasion..... playing for yourself, will always fail in comparison to places who have their fans close to the action, and who's fans understand how to use that advantage...and that advantage is the feeling by the player that they are playing for something bigger than themselves, and that they are on a platform to do so, a platform where they know, that whatever move they make, good or bad, will be spotted accurately..Players play to the audience, when the spectators are so far away, it subdues that emotion.

It's a powerful thing, a huge advantage, and were waaaaaay in last place when it comes to it..

The only solution is a fairly aggressive marketing campaign, and either the upgrades, or a new stadium..

Can and will we fill the stadium if we go on a winning streak?, sure, however, at some point the team will have to rely on the energy that's inside the building, and unfortunately, the construction that breeds passive emotion, and etiquette of the fans, will eventually let those players down.

It's a shame the Ravens game was like that...the Falcons game was awesome and packed with mostly Dolphins fans it seemed. Ravens fans probably bought up the tickets early. The attendance wasn't bad though - 68,342. So at least there weren't 15-20,000 empty seats like various games last season.

You're the one who said that about the Atlanta game, aren't you?
What do you call poor attendance in South Florida?

Atmosphere? This atmosphere is going to like the apocalypse! There are going to be bodies everywhere screaming and yelling vulgar things all day! There is going to be like 354 fist fights between all sorts of people! There will be one or two people that show up to the game wearing a Denver Broncos jersey and another that shows up wearing a Colin Kaepernick Jersey..Book it. There will also be a Seattle Seahawk fitted hat sighting I can promise that as well...Gotta love it when some ****** shows up at a different game wearing apparel of another team that virtually has nothing to do with the actual two teams playing....
I mean it's Dolphins Bills! Who doesn't want to see us lose our third straight to a team starting an undrafted free agent!

I'll be there. Bills games are usually fun. It's been a while since Buffalo has won here as well.
