5 games in and it has already began, the usual Dolfan whine w/o cheese.

First of all, why, as a fan, does anyone give two craps about how large his contract is, this is not your fantasy GM league, his cap number does not mean a damn thing in real life.

Secondly, if you watched the games, THill has poor rapport with Wallace, his throws are off, Wallace will zig when THill expected him to zag.

Phinsational posted a great thread about Qb's needing great Wr's, what it also showed is for a young Qb, the Wr he has worked with in the past does better as the Qb matures, the later addition does not have a rapport with the young Qb, the only cure for that is time and failure until success happens.

Thirdly, and this is hard to really wrap one's head around due to "my god his cap number!!!" is the offense works far better when the ball is being spread around over featuring one Wr, last week the offense was dead when feeding Wallace, when the ball was spread around THill was slicing up the Ravens Defense.

Meaning, put away the "#1 Wr" crap, and actually watch what is happening out on the field, when it's Hartline, then Clay, then Wallace the offense is explosive and moves the ball easily, when it's "feed that guy" the offense looks like dog pooh.

And another damn thing, riding Lamar Miller or DTrain, while bemoaning THill's lack of time to throw is ****ing ignorant, if the OL is crappy in the passing game, how in the blue hell does anyone think it will then be good at opening holes for those two running backs.

Watch the game, both guys are dodging tacklers in the backfield, the "hole" is more or less an opponent's jersey.

Suspect that is due to the blocking scheme, coaching stubborness, and sub par physicality on the offense line.

That effects running backs as well.

seems like common sense, but fans will moan after every loss regardless of the context of the loss.

Just a "fun fact" for everyone, but through 21 games, Joe Philbin has a 10-11 record. That record is identical to......Nick Saban. At this mark in the 2006 season, Saban's second, he only had 5 more wins in him, including one over the Bears, who were undefeated at the time, and a 21-0 shutout of the Patriots in early December that year. He left voluntarily to coach at 'Bama, and fans widely opined that with a 15-17 record, that he wasn't that good anyway.

It'll be interesting to see if Joe Philbin ends up having a better record than Saban after two years, and if he doesn't, well...

So you're saying Philbin won't be taking any college football coaching jobs.

Big drops. No way those are rapport issues.

    Agreed on the running backs.

First, his cap number absolutely matters in real life.

I care about cap number because I dislike large chunks of money tied up into pretty much any other position besides our quarterback, people who put pressure and intercept the opposing quarterback and jam their WR or tackle their RB's or TEs, and a bona fide sure fire offensive weapon for us. I do not mind paying people who deserve to be payed, but over-paying people who deserve to be paid grinds my gears, and I think we over payed for Wallace because of supply and demand. This takes away from other positions.

I don't mind his decoy ability because he takes a lot of aspects of the game that are unseen stat wise. Defenses have to account for him. If he is what I call "NFL open" he should catch the ball. Right now, he is not, and it is for a lot of the reasons you posted, which are all valid. Regardless, he is getting payed a ton of money to not drop footballs and develop that rapport with Tannehill. It is not only 5 games, it is the entire pre-season, as well, so at this point it is 9 games and 5 of them whole. I think the rapport will continue develop, but am dismayed at the time it has taken, but I agree with you in that the ball must be spread around. I think feeding him is trying to speed up that rapport process because of the price they payed for him and the fans reaction to that.

Yeah, the offensive line is terrible, and this goes back to cap space and chunk money put into a large position. I think the offensive line as a whole is worthy of this spending, but dislike when large amounts of spending are done on one player, in general. The offensive line works together as a unit, and I think having a cohesive 5 is better than a stand out 1 or 2 (which is what we have in Pouncey and Incog). Right now, Martin is standing out for all the wrong reasons IMO, and we drafted him in the 2nd, and are no doubt paying him 2nd round money. It is only his 2nd year playing, so convention in football is to give him the 3rd year to really see what's going on, but if the play continues this way then I will be less-than-happy about another player (nevermind who) to "fix" the offensive line and it not happening. This isn't meant to be a jab at the GM, but a jab at the attempts the team has made over the years trying to fix the same issue over and over again.

    You asked. There's my answer.

well why bother ranting about other people ranting I think the more pressing thing is the play calling and oline play . if we win 9 games I will be satisfied but if we win 7 or less then I feel I have a right to be dissatisfied.

my gripe isn't with any of you or the team its the never ending butt kissing of Tom Brady by all the pregame shows. enough is enough .

we always seem to gripe about each other more then anything else.

I know I 'm guilty of ranting too . WHAT many people forget is we haven't been play bound in a while and the longer the playoff drought last the worst the backbiting will be .

this team needs big victory against the pats and that stuff will subside .

Miami needs to start winning playoff games and that s what we need.
