He was allowed to get away with practically anything he wanted to in HS and college with no consequences.

I agree though. He's another guy with all the physical talent in the world, but who is his own worst enemy and doesn't realize it.

That ticky-tack penalty against the Pats today cost them the game. I can't believe it was called. That was brutal.

Looking that way at this moment.
Jeez, when you have a bye week and come out playing at home (like that) it feels that way.
Where is that mean toughness with this team? Lost, just lost.

We'll most likely be fighting with the Jets and Bills for last place again, so you're right. It doesn't really matter. Its getting tiring.

Jets are playing at a high level right now. Might have the best defense in the league.

Maybe there's an OC out there that knows you shouldnt put Clabo on Mario Williams. Perhaps double team him? They're all scrubs

we were too busy double teaming Martin's man the last couple of sacks that Mario got. If you double team for both book ends, you have nobody left to catch a pass.

The Jets are just another average team in the Division. Don't see any team in the AFC East doing anything in the playoffs this year. Hope I'm wrong as far as the Dolphins go, but the way they have played lately it's not looking good.

The Dolphins came out of the bye last year and DISMANTLED the Jets in Jersey. Blame Philbin if you must, but to me it all comes down to execution.

I think most teams in the league are better than the Dolphins given the way they are playing right now. ESP. at QB

Unfortunately you're correct. I can only think of 2 or 3 teams playing worse than us right now.

With the way this offensive line is playing and with the amount of turnovers, Miami might have a hard time with Jacksonville at this point.

If that ticky-tack BS offensive interference penalty wasn't called the Jets would have had 7 more points and the point would have been moot, and that was actually a bad call. What comes around goes around.

We may not like the rules, but they are what they are - and it was the right call.

They were down 21-10. They earned that win.

I can't say for sure that if Hill doesn't put his hands on the defender that he still makes that catch. I can say with certainty that the player pushing the other player forward had nothing to do with the FG miss. I'm a Jets fan, so I'll take it. I'm just saying it was a fortunate call (or unfortunate if you are a Pats fan).

I really can't see how that offensive interference call wasn't ridiculous. I just can't.

I agree. The pushed player had nothing to do with the miss. That said, the rules are the rules, and the Jets were tied in OT with the ball. It's not like they stole a win. They outplayed the Pats in almost every facet of that game. Injuries are always a factor, as are good and bad calls, or in this case, a good call on a perhaps stupid rule. That's football. What matters most is you play hard enough to win, no matter what the circumstances of each game.

It's the fact that there are only 16 games in the NFL that magnifies every detail of every game. A bad call that leads to one loss in baseball, no biggie. In football, it could make or break a season. It usually evens out though.

Let's put things in perspective. The Pats started 2 rookie DTs no one has ever heard of. Starting CB Talib, Amendola, Tommy Kelly, Leon Washington, and Mayo were out with injuries. The Pats were badly banged up.

Bottom line is that they won. Think anyone cares that Wake is injured and ineffective, or that Ellerbe missed the Bills game? Pats have beaten plenty of teams who were missing their starters or forced to start guys signed off the street.

Congrats to the stej defense. Love seeing Brady frustrated, fumbling, and throwing INTs.

Someone on twitter is saying the Jets are close to trading for Josh Gordon and are also interested in T.J. Ward. He doesn't seem like a guy with a lot of credibility though. So, take it for what it's worth.

Every time the Jets win someone has to put it in perspective. It's the NFL. That's how it works. They're not 4-3 because they're playing badly.

Miami and the Jets are pretty similar. Both teams are talented enough to beat any team they play, and they're both limited enough to lose to any team they play. And it's not just talent but it's system, too.

The Dolphins have beaten Indianapolis, a very good team, and lost to a below average team in Buffalo.

The Jets have beaten New England, a very good team, and lost to a below average team in Pittsburgh.

I don't think these are cases of "any given Sunday", not in the sense of you might see the Jags knock off Seattle, or something like that. I just think for both teams every game is a struggle because neither team has a dominant quarterback to this point, and they both have decent defenses but only semi-effective offenses. On the flip side, for teams that play these teams, the games are struggles for them, too. To me, that means both teams will fall between 7-9 if things spiral downward or, if things go the right way, they could finish as high as 10-6, with 8-8 or 9-7 records being most likely. Neither team is going on a long streak to finish with 12 wins, in my opinion (which is stating the obvious, I realize).
