If we can find a way to knock off FSU we will be considered legitimate title contenders. That game worries me though.
This is fun, guys. We're still a year away from being legitimate title contenders imo. But this is fun.
I agree. I don't think we could beat a team like Oregon or Alabama yet unless we played lights out and they shat the bed. Doesnt mean I won't enjoy this ride as far as it takes us
Another bowl ban, I just can't see it. Better not be more then a slap on the wrist after all that has transpired.
Another bowl ban and Shalala ***** slaps everyone in that organization, releasing a swarm of lawyers the size of which the world has never seen...
No way another bowl ban. No ****ing way. NCAA has been on a PR crisis streak for about 48 months now. If they try to pull that, like Clipse (Clipse? Why Clipse? I liked your other name better, whatever it was) said, Shalala is going to throw a **** storm. She has been pretty much talking **** about them in the open for over a year now, if they gonna hit us with another ban...nah. It will get ugly. I think we lose some schollys and that's about it.
My guess is that it will be pretty light. Alabama has alot going on there with and could be looking at being a repeat offender with the DJ Fluker stuff. Whats this have to do with Miami? Well Emmert is best buds with ole Nick Saban, even their wives are best freinds. I think whats going on in Alabama will be swept under the rug as much as possible, but in order to do that, they will have to be light on Miami to be consistent.....Thats my thoughts anyways. I mean if they come don hard and go light on Alabama, all hell should break loose!!
(minor side-note: Always messed up when some random kids who are completely innocent get screwed out of a scholarship, but w/e they find other schools that aren't short a scholarship - but that's the point, I guess)
Al Golden comes out way ahead in all of this, he left Temple for the U, when it was rumored PSU was his dream job, and the U was under investigation. Now the team is #6 in the country, beat FSU we move into top 3 and in national title contention, and he can now recruit more talent w/o NCAA sanctions looming.
Golden recruited a top 10 class with other coaches using this and probably amplifying it 10 fold......now that its over, Golden is coming to ****! Prepare your anus!
I still think the scholarships should have been less, but no bans, and we could have a great bowl game this season
The Saul Goodman one is ridiculous. No person by that name exists. Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Al Golden is so excited he's going to put on his favorite tie. Wait, no, already on. He slept in it. 9:02 AM - 22 Oct 2013 Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
To be perfectly honest, we got away with murder.. Thanks to the NCAA messing up the investigation, Prez bullied them lol maybe next time they don't try to bribe ppl to talk.. This isn't mlb you can't jes do whatever you want and expect to get away with it.. I'm so glad this university has balls enough to stand up to them old wasps running the NCAA.. Hopefully in a few years NCAA will be gone and Miami can own the state of Florida recruits like we should..
I just saw Daniel Toss wearing a Canes tee shirt on one of his shows. I knew he was a Fin fan but didn't know about this.
It's a old episode but yeah. In the same episode he was wearing a Canes jersey as well. He is a Miami Heat fan too.
For anyone interested in donating, CanesInsight is taking donations to have a plane fly a banner over the stadium for the WF game, thanking Golden and Shalala. Looks like they already got over $1,000 in donations and have enough for several fly overs. Would be pretty sweet to get a banner for every game. Welcome To The U! Canes land DT recruit hours after NCAA sanctions announced Full Speed Ahead. According to Canesport.com, UM landed a verbal from 6-4, 340-pound defensive tackle Michael Wyche out of East Los Angeles College. Wyche, rated a three-star recruit, had been committed to USC. A very important recruit. We need a JuCo to replace Porter and Renfrow as the NT position. Especially with Dalvin Stuckey's possibly being a grades casualty.
We'll take 2 JuCo DT's regardless. Corey Johnson, Claude Pelon, and Terrell Clinkscales are possibilities as well.
Sony Michel visiting. This ought to get interesting... It always shocked me how such a die hard lifelong Cane who's been recruited so hard by Miami for so many years can just commit to UGA. One of the cases where you just know something dirty is going on behind the scenes. Proven by his brother transferring from UMASS to UGA. With UGA sucking and Miami's rise and the end of NCAA nonsense, this is something to follow. I don't really get pissed at kids for making these decisions, but Sony Michel's case certainly pissed me off. I'll welcome him back with open arms if he decides to make the right decision in the end.
