There are 1-2 player missions that run parallel to the main story kind of, these, for me, are the most fun. There are also a bunch of deathmatch-y events including ones with no respawn, races, and missions where teams compete to obtain something and take it to a designated location ala CTF, these are also fun also unless you have ****ty teammates (which is what I've had so far). It's sort of rough when you start out because all you have is the pistol, not ideal for shooting while in a vehicle, but it starts to get more fun once you unlock the mac. The problem is, in my limited time playing online, is that nobody wants to do these missions.When you are stealth mode in free mode does your blip show up on the map? And is there any advantage to going stealth mode in deathmatch? Cause it seems the only time you show up on the radar is when you fire your gun, or am I wrong?
sorry to say i wont be on tonight. But I should be tomorrow unless some plans develop. I agree we need to get a crew together. I had no idea what to do last night playing by myself online.

Agreed. Maybe I'm getting old, but I've stopped caring about arbitrary mission checklists like that. To me, it's more important if I had fun playing and completing the mission, not whether or not I did everything the mission designer thought I should have done.
You've been saying that since you were a teenager, I imagine things haven't changed since then. I just beat the game tonight... I enjoyed the storyline a lot and being able to play as three different characters was really cool. I'll probably start exploring more GTA online soon.
People have actually beaten this game already? DaFuQ? take a few weeks off work? I'm not much for non Halo video games anymore but I do really like this game. I'm only playing it casually though. I like teefing the fastest car I can find and cruising to the burbs and doing illegal stuff. Tried to get onto the military base last night, didn't work too well for me.
Ok, I'm going to say it. GTA online is kind of a grind. The missions have little variance, it costs me nearly 2k every time I die (happened a lot due to PVP where I was vastly outgunned with only an Uzi), and it's painfully slow liking up and making money. I can't wait for the heists. It gets old with the missions pretty quickly IMO.
