I haven't watched preseason because I'm not in the US and my laptop stopped working. How has Wade looked? I see he has great numbers.

You're probably right, he obviously didn't have to jump any higher to dunk it. I was just surprised by (the lack of) distance between foot and floor. I have no doubt that if trying as hard as he could he'd shame me easily in a vert jump.

Part of me hopes Oden stays somewhat healthy this year. What he will bring to that team in terms of defense will be off the charts.

If healthy he no question has "best defensive big man" in the league potential. And YES, better than lazy Dwight.

Between James and Oden it must really suck for you to have players you really like on a team you really hate.

Only Javale McGee is a 7 footer out of those three. and he really isn't as he measured at 6'-10" at the combine.

I think Bargs is awful. Doesn't mean they won't beat the Nets in the 1st round.

Like I said..Knicks are only EC team with a range that reaches from out in 5 in the 1st round to 7 games in the ECF's.

    Some real predictions....

    1. Miami - If Wade is healthy could have this team ready to win 65+
    2. Indiana - If Granger is back they could have a secondary scoring option they desperately need
    3. New York - Iman Shumperts improved offense and addition of Bargnani could be the missing pieces. Adding Udrih can only help. He wont go 10 straight playoff games without scoring like Kidd.
    4. Chicago - Healthy Rose will provide a big lift but loss of Nate Robinson is being overlooked. Health of Luol Deng is still in question as is contract status of Deng
    5. Brooklyn - Deron Williams already hurt, lots of new pieces. They may not really get on track until we are 35-40 games in to the season.
    6. Detroit - Tremendous frontline, Love Monroe/Dummond combo but question whether Josh Smith can provide spacing from the 3. 30% jump shooter last year from perimeter.
    7. Cleveland - Kyrie Irving ready to elevate his game. Verajao, Bennett, Thompson provide solid front court depth. If Bennett adapts well to NBA and Waiters improves they can leapfrong Detroit.
    8. Toronto - Rudy Gay being there for a full year. Terrence Ross has to be better by default. Is Demar DeRozen ready to make the leap from good scorer to good all around player? Valanciunas shows a lot of promise.

    1. San Antonio - Still plenty of talent. Kind of expecting an in-season move to bolster the lineup. They need a scorer to replace Gary Neal. Plenty of D and this is really Parker's team now.
    2. OKC - Durant has a chance to emerge as a leader. I like their young talent; Jeremy Lamb and rookie Steven Adams will be asked to play big roles but could provide upgrades over Kevin Martin and Kendrick Perkins in terms of all around play. Westbrook being out early on will prevent 1 seed.
    3. LAC - Still not convinced this team is ready for prime team. IMO its not unfair to call them "Knicks west". 1 true star (CP3), 1 big potential player (Blake) and supporting players. Missing a go to scorer.
    4. Memphis - Love 3 of their 5 starters but they need a SF who can score. Liked their upside better with Rudy Gay.
    5. GSW - Adding Igo and having a healthy Bogut is huge. Curry and Bogut health is always a question but if theyre right all season they could rise even higher. Harrison Barnes still has star potential.
    6. Houston - D12 will be a good addition for them but are they really going to use Asik at PF? Spacing...Fail. Lin is still your PG....turnover.
    7. Denver - Lost Igo, Gallinari still rehabbing his ACL will drop this team in to borderline playoff caliber territory. Lawson and Farried are saving graces.
    8. New Orleans - Added Tyreke Evans for when Eric Gordon gets hurt. Anthony Davis is ready to be a star. Vasquez, Jrue Holiday provide solid ball handlers with complimenting games. Like this team a lot going forward once they shed the terrible contract of Gordon.

MVP: Lebron James - If they win 65+ as I think they might it wont be a debate.
Honorable mention: Durant, Melo, CP3, Parker.
ROY: Cody Zeller - Surprise surprise. McLemore will be he best player from that draft long term but Zeller will shine immediately. Offensive game is polished and Al Jefferson will get double teamed a bit.
    Honorable mention: McLemore, MCW, Oladipo
NBA Finals: Miami over someone, probably the Spurs after the Clippers dont make it past the 2nd round again. Hopefully the Knicks surprise everyone and take home that Finals trophy :)

I think Bargs is awful as a #1 option. As a complimentary player and being used as a PF and not a C....hes going to be back to the type of player he was in Toronto wen he was averaging 20-7 with Bosh next to him. I dont think he will reach those stats but I think he will be a lot more efficient, selective and productive. Plus hes a MUCH better defender at the 4 then the 5. He cant guard 5's at all. 4's he at least drew an average rating against.

Have to agree with Sec. Bargnani is an awful player and doesn't help the Knicks much at all. 3.7 RPG as a 7 footer? LOL. Under 40% shooting as a 7 footer? LOL. Can't defend, at all. Even when he was averaging good PPG numbers he was still the same ****ty player, just with more minutes and more shot attempts. Slightly more efficient but still not efficient at all for a 7 footer. I do think he fits the Knicks better than he did the Raptors. But that won't be enough to make him a decent player or take the Knicks to the next level.

Which is how everyone is listed. Only decent true 7 footers are Tyson Chandler and Roy Hibbert and they're listed at 7'1 and 7'2", with shoe measurements/

I feel like I read similar things from the Knick haters last year about Felton and J.R. Bargnani may have the same rebounding numbers as those guys but it was as a center. His numbers are much different as a PF. Plus Melo is an above average rebounder for his position even if Bargnani is a historically bad as a 7 foot C. He will rebound for Woodson or he wont be on the floor. Say what you will about Woodson as a playoff coach (and I would probably agree) he will get effort from his players.
