Yea like all the dropped passes and poor route running that Geno has to put up with. You have a better receiving crew and better running backs. Tannehill is no where near Luck or Wilson and he is barely on RG3's level. Geno is progressing a lot faster than him and will surpass him by the end of the year.

Rams fans went through the same system of denial with Bradford. Its like the seven stages of grief for you guys. Henne was the same way.

Right now is the Denial and shock phase...

I dont know about better backs. Drafted higher? Yes. Better? Not so sure Id say that. The Smithchize is not better then Tannehill. So sorry to disappoint. Its not really close either. Smiths decision making, mechanics, and accuracy will be his downfall.

I agree. I want to see how he is playing at the end of next year. End of his 3rd season, he'll have almost 50 pro starts and most of a full season to evaluate.

Agreed. Tannehill's lack of experience in comparison to his peers of Luck, Griffin, and Wilson, set him back. He is inconsistent and still learning, but behind where you really want him. What he does between the Pat's game tomorrow and where he is at the end of next season will be the true determination of whether he is the future, or if we're still searching for "the guy". Regardless, we need to churn either Moore or Devlin and draft a QB. Every few seasons this needs to happen for better depth and competition.

Great post!!!!! i like someone picks out 4 guys who are having horrible years, and shaub isnt good neither is geno and neither is flacco, eli is super suspect always has been he just put a good string of great catches together lol.....tannehill will be a back up in 5 years.....and i could have a higher completions rating than everyone in the league if all i did was throw bubble screens and slants...60% of tannehills yards are YAC yards

Personally you have to win now, not next yr or looking two years down the road, philbin, sherman need the can and matt moore needs to be starting

you dont take in the fact all the media pressure going back to indy, and secdonly whats your point the chargers lost to the raiders and the chargers beat the colts? whats your point in that argument,

what i meant about stats is all you stated was his negatives fumbles int sacks, not his yards his tds and the fact he wont a superbowl lol

you pretty much should never post ever again, you pick the guys at the bottom of the barrel pick a team thats .500 qba and compare them, matter of fact pick a team thats going to win their division and compare them, if you want your qb to rank 19 and miss the playoffs you merely need to watch tennis where a 19 seeded player makes the tourney, cuz this league you win and with the system IE tanny, sherman, Ireland and philbin isnt going to get it done. rg3 is hurt, brady has the hot dog guy catching passes from the stadium and there still winning. please dont ven compare kap, hes a running qb and geno beat the pats so tanny has a chance to be on the level w him tomorrow

I watch everygame start to finish, and he has signs of goodness but then blaaaahhhh, if you want to watch something, watch his 3 step drops against high pass rushers(no no on any level football), watch his inability to roll out thats not a designed roll out, watch his head he will not switch receivers he will watch the receiver the whole time IE why he gets picked.

If all the players around the league were "as good as they should be" there would be a lot of great teams out there. I don't get the excuse making here, our offensive line is so bad that its inexcusable. Its not like we haven't spent draft picks or money on it either. All of that and the talent just isn't there...these guys are just terrible in the critical tackle positions.

beyond the sacks i get it, but how come other qbs under pressure can step up roll out and avoid sacks and tannehill looks like hes gettin attacked by a bear and goes into the fetal positions?

On both his interceptions last week he wasn't under duress only the fumble so explain that blame that on the line

Come one wasn't one of those kicks a hurried 57 yard kick on grass? I mean there is maybe one kicker in the entire league that makes that kick in that situation...maybe. It would have been a miracle win if we had made that kick, I mean that kick had maybe a 5% chance of going through the uprights. Its laughable to blame a rookie for missing that kick. He's actually been really good this year, he's not our problem. Our Oline plays even mediocre and we aren't discussing a .500 record or special teams.

I think Qbs start looking for the rush instead of worrying about rolling out or stepping up, he's been under attack so much that I think he might be a little shell shocked right now. That and Sherman and Philibin need to design roll outs and Qb runs to take advantage of teams being aggressive....so far they haven't made many ---if any--adjustments to compensate for our terrible Oline and running game.

I agree but this is a bad comparison look at vick that dude ahs never had aline and he gets balls down the field etc, there problem is the three step drops on all passes which is horrible, and they need to make one rb the starter and stop switching lamar had a nice rhythm last week breaking off two 10+ yard runs and he went out for daniel cuz daniel started that bs. Hes too scared you have to be able to stand in the pocket and take hits every qb but him and tom brady dont think so, watch drew brees at 6 feet stands tall and slangs it and gets hit, peyton too. if your scared to get hit i dont want you in there, IE i want moore to starts

What? Do you actually watch the games. The only thing that Tannehill has over Geno is decision making which is mental and can be corrected. Everything else Geno blows Ryan out of the water with.

Better yet make a trade up for Mariota, you guys aren't getting Bridgewater. You got to be fearless in the pocket to be successful. Once the fear settles in, the B-U-S-T begins to form on the forehead

It's really disappointing to see a thread about Tannehill dealing with pressure, turn into a pissing match with a Jets fan about how good Geno Smith is.

I would suggest you take that trash back to whatever jets board you came from. I definitely watch the games and I would question whether you know what youre watching. I have at least a half dozen friends who are Jets fans for 25+ years and every single one of them said Tannehill is better then Geno Smith. Geno has better playcalling right now by far.

If you refuse to see the all of whats going on with this team then there is no need to continue debating with you. It appears you have your mind made up that Tanny will not be nothing more then below average. And rather then admit that the losses are a team thing, it appears you want the blam to fall on Tanny. Good luck with such a narrow minded way of seeing things.

Hey, Einstein... telling Ducken, one of the guys who has been here for a long time and is an accepted and respected member (because of nature of his posts and our long time knowing him from other boards,) that he should not post again, or for that matter, posting the bovine scatology you have been spouting forth for the past few days of your short time here is roughly akin to a kitten hissing at an alligator (and I am a Seminole fan!) I would suggest that if you desire is to be accepted on this board that you at least back up some of your spew with at least some semblance of reason and thoughtfulness (if you are capable!) We don't put up with BS on this board because the developers put this board to escape the BS that Finheaven became. If you want to spew forth nonsense and insults - go there. If you want to participate and be accepted on a board which responds with courtesy and respect, even in reparte, then settle your tukkis down and learn before you just go of half cocked and shoot your wad. (Look that last one up, don't just accept the obvious connotation!)

And that is why your friends aren't talent evaluaters and just fans. Geno is much better pure passer than Tannehill. The only thing Tannehill has that makes him better than Geno is decision making and talent surrounding him
