Q: You have the floor. Anything you’d like to say to Dolphins fans who are depressed, downcast, upset or unhappy about the past three games?

A: “I would tell them that I believe in the locker room. I believe we have excellent men on this football team that representing the Dolphins is very important to them. And we’re going to work through this thing together. I’d love to ask for their loyal support, that we can fix this thing. And we will fix it. You know, in tough times you got to stick together and you got to believe in what you’re doing. You have to believe in your players, you have to believe in your staff. If you don’t have faith in one another you have no chance. We have to stick together and we have to work through this.”

Faith is the evidence of things hoped for, the belief in the unseen.

Uninspired pablum, could just as easily come from Cam Cameron. Make haste slowly, have faith, whatever. Boiler plate coach speak.

ALMOST makes me wish I had heard Tony Sparano's infamous "Gladiator Speech".

Given what we've seen thus far, I have little faith in this staff to correct problems. I wish I had more hope.

I find it interesting that I've heard two conflicting reports from reporters about the locker room, James Walker has reported that he thinks the locker rook is a bit fragile and has lost some confidence, our own beat guys are stunned that even though the team has lost it's last three games, their asking the coach and players how have they been able to stay upbeat and loose, and like Hartline said, " well, we're not just gonna tank it 6 games into the season, and Philbin responded by saying that he likes the makeup of his guys and that they had a good week of practice..

He can't say anything else. If he tells the truth, it's the end of him. If he blames the players or the general manager or the coaching staff, it's the end of him. If he blames himself, it's the end of him. All he can say is that everything is OK and that if we're all patient and have faith, everything will be all right. The kind of thing you tell your kids during bad times when you have no idea how to get out of them. Keep calm and carry on.

The problem is that football is not a goody-two-shoes sport. I wonder what kind of "fundamentals" are being taught at team meetings.

As the saying goes, talk is cheap. Philbin asking the fans to have faith isn't going to change anything.

That makes sense, but my problem is that there's imo a bit of a sense of desperation in what Philbin said, kind of a generic plea going nowwhere. I wasn't impressed- furthermore, the dude just lacks charisma.

His players have to bail him out of this. Pure and simple. They have to give more. I see what you mean; that it's up to him to inspire them and this isn't going to do it. Hopefully, this isn't what he tells the players.

Good questions by Mando, by the way. He's actually acting like a journalist.

People seem so down on ole Wanny but at least Dve had the respect of the players and we used our tightends and fullbacks more . sure we were predictable but we had more great games o under Dave then we have had under our last three coaches. but that is my opinon.

we need three things to happen. 1ST FIRE Ireland , 2nd Fire Sherman , 3rd get a oline , qb and rb .

Believe in the locker room? Yeah they should just post the lockers out on the field in front of Tannehill they might buy him more time to throw.

If this season continues the way it's looking now, Philbin is gone.

I think we need to blow out the entire organization, again.

The only way Philbin keeps his job is if this team turns it around and wins 9 games. He will be tested then regardless, he needs to make staff changes. Jim Turner needs to be dismissed. Mike Sherman (I'd fire him) is walking on a razors edge. Kevin Coyle is over matched, I'd fire him as well.

Win 9 games and I stay the course. A 6-10 (which we are seriously staring at) means, in my opinion, Ireland is fired, a new front office is brought in and the new brain trust makes decisions on the staff.

At this point, I am racking my brain to figure out who that sixth win will come against. The Bucs, the Jags and...who, again?

As far as I'm concerned, this season is done, this team just finds ways to lose. It seems to be a mentality that permeates the entire franchise. I am so sick of believing only to be let down by pure stupidity, from this point on I just expect to lose every game and will be pleasantly surprised if they accidentally win a game.

For Philbin to hold on to such confidence in such inadequacy, means he hasn't a clue. Can the whole FO. And hire a real football organization Mr. Ross, this is NOT working!

I think we have an above average talent base on the roster, and Philbin may deserve more time, but he needs to make significant changes to his coaching staff. The only ones who are definite keepers to me are Rizzi, Campbell, Rodgers, Edwards, and Nixon.

No way Ross fires Philbin in year 2... I say hes got another year and that probably means Ireland gets to stay as well. Ross is clueless and at this point I think we have to hope he see;s a losing investment and sells the team..

Watching the Dolphins against the Bengals in Primetime is going to be the scariest thing on TV this Halloween.

Won't even bother DVR'ing my shows, I'm sure i'll be watching them instead of having to watch this mediocre-to-bad team. Even if they manage to win they'll f--- it up and lose to SD and Carolina anyway.

I though we'd lose to the patsies in NE, did not expect to get hosed by obviously crooked Ref's

You do realize that the reason we had some great games under Wanny was because of the talent Jimmy Johnson put into place on that defense BEFORE Wanny came to Miami? Despite having that talent, things deteriorated under Wanny. Miami has not pulled themselves out of the hole Wanny put them in.

To be honest, thought we'd lost his game, to me the only thing of importance is McKinnie+Martin is a heckuva alot better than Clabo/Martin and losing Gibson.

3-4, Cinci coming to town on a short week, this is a must win game

After Cinci blows us out on Thursday, the get rid of Tanne/Ireland/Philbin train will be in full force. They're all losers and they need to get off of this team and ruin some other franchise. Philbin can go back to Greenbay and take Tanne with him to backup Rodgers.

Jay Fielder helped win a ton of games in 2000 and 2001 (and 2002 if you count that he went 7-3 including 2 losses that weren't hit fault at the end of the season). Before he messed up his thumb, he was on his way to being a top 10 QB. At least Wanny knew he had a QB who was a leader of men and was clutch in more situations than he wasn't. It's a shame he broke his thumb, he was never really the same after that.

Thought we'd lost to the patsies in Cheaterboro, next 3 games, Cinci, SD and TB are crucial, we have to sweep them

I will say it LOUDLY...Cinci is a must win game, short week, if we take it then we have a chip in our pocket in the wildcard derby, we lose it and 4 AFC losses against teams that figure to be in the wildcard hunt pretty much dooms this season
