He's a supporter of Hernandez and honestly, Pouncey should have kept his mouth shut. This is one distraction that doesn't involve him in any way but the stupid FREE HERNANDEZ pictures and other crap he pulled is pulling him into it.

He's been supporting him because Meyer thought Tebow andPouncey were appointed by Meyer to watch over A-Hern in college.

I bet Maurkice Pouncey really doesn't want to attend next weeks game! (Steelers @ Patriots) Wonder if he'll get one.

Ah, had no idea he was on IR. I'm ignoring the Steelers as much as possible. And I confused their names again...I'll never get it right.

I still wonder if he'll have to be involved as well.

After reading about this, I don't understand why this is so bad in your opinion?

NFL is going to suspend Pouncey for being a witness to something?

    keep reading this part...

And i find that hard to believe. Not sure why the authorities would bother on gun trafficking when Hernandez is being held for murder... unless they are looking at establishing the chain of custody in regards to the murder weapon itself. Was Pouncey there when Hernandez "acquired" the weapon? Or from his relationship with Hernandez, does he know how he obtained the weapon?

I think it's a giant leap to say Pouncey did anything wrong at this point. Absent any information to the contrary. The two go back to college days. Maybe Tebow will be subpoena'd next?

Authorities don't usually like to leave convictions dangling. If there is an interstate gun trafficking conviction to get, they'll get it. You NEVER know how murder trials go.

It says in another article (maybe this one too) Pouncey was involved in several of the gun deals. That is not good.

Since when is it illegal to buy guns? Stupid cops just looking for more smoke to blow up Hernandez's butt. Hernandez is going to walk free from this (which is crazy imo, he's guilty as crap) because all they got is hearsay and some text message, so now they are trying to wrap the guy up in gun charges.

Pouncey probably needs a good lawyer.

If he's involved in gun trafficking transactions, it's probably for the best. I wasn't clear about how the whole gun trafficking thing worked, but here's an article about it: http://www.ibtimes.com/gun-control-debate-2013-how-illegal-gun-trafficking-works-convicted-murderer-explains-1396271. The pertinent part:

There's probably other ways it works, as well, but if Pouncey was involved in any part of something like this -- as the "criminal", the cash-strapped student, abettor -- he may be in some legal trouble.

Kind of hard to believe he isn't at least up for some charges, the way they presented him with the subpoena (Bypassing dolphins head of security, and apparently Kraft and the patriots security were not aware until it was happening) to me points to him being at least up for some charges. Who knows though, would be a big loss to us.

said it on facebook. I have a feeling he crossed state lines with guns. If so that would be federal gun charges. He's either going to cooperate, as part of a plea, or he'll plead the fifth.

it's only a big deal if Pouncey doesn't snitch.

    How is that illegal?

it is rather common to drive from Florida to Georgia to Hunt. it is common to go from anywhere to anywhere else to hunt. So what do you do if you travel on Hunting trips? You buy the guns in that particular state and then leave them there?

Had to. He couldn't be properly served with a Mass subpoena in Florida. That's why they didn't do it at the team hotel either, which was in Rhode Island.

I don't think they were legal. Which would make it gun trafficking I believe.
fyi, when you take legal guns somewhere, you probably want to check that state's gun laws as they vary from place to place. Especially when it comes to concealed weapons laws.

If the guns were purchased illegally it's a problem. If they were unlicensed it's a problem.

Typically, a hunter's guns are registered and licensed so if he gets pulled voer and the cop sees the weapons he can run them and send the guy on his way. If there is no license or registration you are going to jail.

Yeah they were all downtown at the restaurants......

I will say though we can go into Mass and serve a RI summons, you just have to call the Town's Police the person is in and give them a heads up. They are usually very good about assisting...

IF he indeed did do something wrong?

He snitches and cops a plea, gets a slap on the wrist, probably even no games missed.....

He goes the loyal route and tries to show up the grand jury process?? We got problems.....

it was my understanding that the likelihood of this is that he was asked to buy guns (legally) and transfer them to those that could not buy them.

It's a little different in that a GJ subpoena is forcing someone who is not a resident of that state to appear in that state. the only way you can do that is to personally serve him in Mass.

It's not like a deposition where you subpoena the witness and take the deposition in the state he lives in

If you bring them across state lines with an intent to sell them it's different. What if he did buy them legally, and then shipped them to, say Connecticut?

Lol it sall speculative at this point.

They wanted to scare him in front of his team mates. They want him to testify against hernandez. He'll speak with a lawyer. If he didnt regret wearing that hat in public, he probably does now.

Buying guns in florida and selling them in new york is absolutely a crime that I dont think Pouncey commited. Hes only guilty of being naive.

    They want him to sing.
