Atkins is a pro bowler, sounds like Richie thought he had help...but didn't

 

I'm OK with passing on first down but if it's an incomplete, Sherman has got to start calling more runs on second down. We can't keep putting ourselves in these third and long situations... a 3rd and 6 or 7 is much more manageable.

 

So the sack comes on 2nd and 10... after an incompletion, after two very successful runs. On second and 10, after and incompletion, you should be running the ball to get at least some yards, to make 3rd down easier. Nope.. not Sherman... Nothing like making it harder on yourself than it needs to be. That's the footbal basics, and football 101 stuff the players/media are talking about with sherman.
