So with the first half of the season behind us, we're .500 and coming off a win, with a long weekend to rest up and a (maybe?) soft opponent waiting for us at an away game which isn't all that far away. Life is good! I can't wait to see the Revis-Wallace matchup.
Good secondary play, Lavonte David, Mike Williams and Vincent Jackson, a decent offensive line, MRSA. What's going on with Doug Martin?
I live in Tampa. They are in disarray. They want Schiano fired, they have a ton of key injuries etc. They are terrible. We should wreck them.
I'm pretty sure Revis is the number 1 ranked CB in the league right now, and Tampa has 2 pretty good receivers in VJax and Williams.
??? Where did you see that? It's been reported that he has struggled all year in Tampa. They play zone and he struggles in anything other than man. ESPN shows his numbers as 6 PDs, 21 tackles, 1 INT, and a fumble recovery for the year. The Tampa passing defense is rated at #18.
Lavonte David is so fun to watch...Dominant player. But Tampa is absolute garbage. We should win this game by at least 2 TDs.
Just a caution on this game, TB is Top 5 in creating unblocked blitzes, and Top 5 in hitting/pressuring/sacking the Qb when they do. Add in two good Wr's. Think we win, but have to give them a puncher's chance of taking it
The Bucs are hot garbage. The coach is a dead man walking. His players don't like him, have not bought in and publicly second guess him. They trade for the best corner in the world and they insist on wasting him in zone. They have a lot invested in that secondary and they aren't getting returns on it. They have no pass rush and their QB is in over his head. - sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 beta -
Well, look at it this way, it is a damn good thing the Jest got TB's #1 from the last draft, not the upcoming one or it could be Bridgwater or whichever Elite Qb in puke green for the next decade
All this may be true, but he's one of the only bright spots on that team. I've been watching him all season and I'm here to tell you the reason his stats are low is because the other teams stay away from him. He's REALLY good.
Same way AJ Green or Jones nearly did. A not-so-great-QB throws it up there and a physically dominant WR like Jackson does the rest
Tampa is bad but they aren't 0-16 bad. Currently up 21-0 on Seattle...so that is good if they get their first win out of the way (or if they blow it that could be demoralizing and hurt them for a few weeks). Desperate teams can be tricky. AND they're retiring Sapp's number so the game is actually sold out.
I think this is really bad for us personally. They have a butt load of talent on this Bucs team. Last thing I want to happen is this finally start playing well one week before our game.
I definitely would not mark the Bucs as a guaranteed win for the Dolphins. A winnable game yes but they need to be taken seriously.
This is the best game they've played by a mile. They've been largely uncompetitive to this point. Let's see if they can close. - sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 beta -
They have already played well enough for Miami to take preparing for them seriously now we need them to lose so it demoralizes them for next weeks game
They've lost a lot of one score games. They are not a terrible team IMO. We should beat them, especially if we want to be a playoff team, but it's not like they are devoid of talent.
Yeah, wondering if this blown lead loss will be rock bottom for the team. If so, this is often the come-to-Jesus moment when turnarounds begin. Look at us after the Pats loss. We were borderline suicidal as a franchise fan base and internally people were rock bottom, according to many sources... Lockerroom dissension, questioning coaches, HC dressing down assistants openly, etc. If Tampa has hit bottom, we may be in for a very feisty team fighting for its pride. They'll be so deflated IMO. I don't think the situations are the same. They're out of the playoff race, they won't be fighting for their coach and the organization, and I don't think they're the kind of team that will play for themselves.
if it's sold out and their retiring the number of sapp, they won't be deflated, they'll have energy, knowing sapp he will do their pregame speech..need to match their intensity.
It's the Miami Dolphins- a no Identity, inconsistent team facing the 0-8 Bucs team that is retiring Sapps Jersey, Hmm what to expect? We ****ing better beat them!
They almost beat playoff bound Seattle so there is still life in them .They couldnt finish that game and that has been part of our trouble too. With all of the distractions going on a win in this game is not a sure thing . I was going to pick the Dolpins in my survivor contest but I will be picking the Titans over the Jags instead
They have a secondary of playmakers and we have a QB who is very inconsistent in his decision making. Would be foolish to assume they can't beat us.
